Over the last few years I've tried new mascara's here and there but you probably all know that I always venture back to the same product - Maxfactor's Masterpiece Max.
It now takes alot for me to want to purchase a 'new' mascara as not many seem to work for me as well as Masterpiece and I like to stick to what I know works.
I'm a big fan of 'comb' type brushes as I have such short lashes and small eyes it makes it easier for me to create longer looking lashes.
I tried a sample of Benefit's Roller Lash when it was released earlier this year and really liked it, but being double the price of my normal mascara budget I didn't purchase after trying.
So...... when I spotted a high street brand bringing out a mascara with a brush that looks fairly similar to Roller Lash.... I was seriously interested!
Yes, L'oreal have added yet another mascara to their highly popular Volume Million Lashes range in the name of 'Feline'!
The legendary brush is now arched, fitting the eyelid shape perfectly and making it super easy to capture every lash with each stroke.
Curved brushes have become really popular these last few months and this mascara has been working so well for me!
I use my eyelash curlers as normal and then use Feline to coat my lashes root to tip giving them great length and a fabulous flare!
Volume Million Lashes Feline is priced at £10.99 and is being released THIS week so keep your eyes peeled in your local Boots stores as I think there may be a cheaper introductory price for the first few weeks!
Hello you lovely lot! I'm so sorry for the lack of posts recently - I'm not sure what's happened to be totally honest but I promise I will sort it out and get back on the blogging wagon bigger and better than ever! A few weeks back I was asked by one of the top high fashion street stores in the UK for a few of my favourite beauty tips for Country Festivals. I LOVE Festivals and living on the IOW I live basically on top of 2 HUGE country festivals every single year so I couldn't wait to team up with River Island and share festivals things I live by! I've been to my fair few and over the last 10 years have worked out so many tips and tricks when it comes to beauty bits for the weekend. Country Festivals are probably the biggest, the muddiest and the craziest of all the festivals so being prepared is key to having both a relaxed and a fun weekend! Check out 3 of my top beauty tips below as well as some awesome fashion tips from the lovely Ellie!
Want more Festivals tips?
Check out the rest of River Island's amazing blog segment - here and My top 50 Festival Tips -here... I talk everything from what to wear to where to camp to why you need to pack bin bags! What festivals are you going to this year?! I cannot wait for Bestival!

Night out vs Night in - what do you have planned? I still can't decide! NIGHT IN
A couple of months ago me and the lovely Emma from notyouraverage decided to create a little Christmas box swap for each other!
There's wasn't much interest for a secret santa this year with other bloggers (due to some not so great experiences for some people last year) so we thought we would just do something between just the two of us!
So the day finally came last Tuesday where we had both recieved our boxes so we decided to sit down that evening and do a live opening on twitter..... hands up if you saw it!
It was so fun communicating with each other whilst opening each present, I actually loved it!
I was so so pleased with everything that Emma got me and I loved the box swap experience... I really hope she feels the same way!
I thought I would share with you guys what Emma included in the box for me.............

One of my favourite things is getting glammed up for a night out with my girls! This is a time I wear (alot) more make-up than usual - eyeshadow, lashes, the works! It's always fun getting dressed up and glammed isn't it?
After uploading a recent night-out selfie(so vain right?) and getting a few questions on what I had on my face I thought I would share with you my absolute must-haves which I always go to for a full face of glam make-up!
(Obviously this isn't all that I wear, but I'd feel lost if I didn't have these products!)
1. Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation
I mentioned this badboy in my favourite foundations post! This is my go-to foundation for nights out, amazing high coverage and lasts for hours and hours (even after a good few drinks and boogey on the dancefloor!) Perfect when used with a buffing brush like my one from Zoeva, this helps give a flawless finish!
2. Eylure 107 Fake Eyelashes
My eyelashes are tiny, short and stumpy so false lashes are always a must for me when getting dressed up!
These ones from Eylure have been my favourite for years! They recently changed them and made them slightly bigger which scared me a bit but they are great for my small eye shape and haven't found any others yet that I love as much (and are as easy to put on)! Please excuse the 'used' lashes .... I like to get multiple wears!
3. ELF HD Powder
Jeeez this packaging is messy - I promise I do look after my stuff! I have been using this powder for a few years now - I think this is my second pot. I'm not really a fan of loose powders but this one works so well that I put up with it! (If they could make this in a pressed powder I would be super duper happy!) This powder is bright white but is translucent once brushed onto the skin ], I use this all over my face with a large fluffy brush to set my foundation - it is fab and helps me avoid a shiny face in photos!
4. A Mac Lipstick
Make-up isn't complete without a fabulous lip colour and mac lipsticks are the best when it comes to this!
With the amount of shades they have too, Mac is the perfect place to go if you are trying to match a lip colour to your outfit! The quality is fantastic and they are seriously long-lasting! My favourite shade is Girl About Town - I seem to always grab this colour for a night out!
5. Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette
Again... oppsie this is a bit messy isn't it!
Since getting this for Christmas a couple of years ago I have used it near enough EVERY time I have gone out!
I am obsessed with it and love all the different looks you can make from just one palette! The quality is great, the colour are gorgeous and as you can see this lasts years! A must have for any neutral-loving girl's make-up collection!
What products do you grab when you are going for a night out?!
Finally another make-up product has made it into my product of the week!
Now, as you may know, I've been trying to put myself on a spending ban so I have been delving into my current make-up collection and using alot more of the stuff I already own (that would be sensible wouldn't it!)
As I've run out of my favourite everyday mascara (Maxfactor Masterpiece Max) and forking out £10 for a new one is a no-no at the moment, I have been going through that mascara draw I normally ignore and using up all those I have lying around!
The mascara that I have been using non-stop this past week is the Lancome Hypnose Star which is actually a miniature I bought in a gift set back at Christmas time. (you may remember the review!)
I'm so bad for buying things and forgetting to use them and I am totally guilty for forgetting about these miniature mascaras!
I spotted this one and thought I'd give it a go and add it into my daily routine! Now... I am so happy I did! This mascara is awesome! It has a funky brush which is actually flat not round and it gets thinner towards the end which helps gets all those little lashes in the corners!
I have really short, stumpy rubbish lashes (waaaa for me :( ) so anything that helps lengthen my lashes is a good good friend - this does the trick perfectly! Another full sized product I want to invest in - I'd better try and make this little one last for now!
So today I may have gone a bit spend-happy in Boots (Boots is a UK drug-store for anyone who doesn't know!). From lipsticks to toothbrushes I bought it all! Can't resist deals, promos and discounts can I!?!
This is just going to be a fairly short post showing you guys what I purchased - some of the items are re-purchases (and personal favs!) and some are brand new to me and I have never owned/tired them before!
Everything that is a re-purchase I will mark with a *.
No doubt you will be seeing these things in up-coming posts that I will be bringing you... I can already tell that lipstick is going to be one of my favourites of the summer!
