POTW #33 : Bleach London Swamp Spritz

It's Friday people, which means another POTW (Product Of The Wee!) for you all! I'm still in Florida - I know lucky right? - so with the mix of sun, pools, water parks and getting wind swept on my hair hasn't exactly been the sleek, polished, styled look I like!
BUT I've taken the beachy messy look in my stride and I've been using a certain product to help me tame it!

Bleach London are a brand I've lusted over for months now, their beautiful colours are something dreams are made of but unfortunately for me my job won't let me dye my locks! (boooo!)
I've tried a couple of sea salts over the last couple of years and never been that overly excited or Impressed by them. But, after reading some glowing reviews on this product I decided to give it a go!

The bottle is in a cool spray bottle and comes with two settings, spray and stream! I have been using the spray option whilst on holiday and the results have been great!
Using the spray setting is easy and covers your hair I'm just a few seconds, the amount of product that comes out is insane, the biggest cloud of mist ever! I love the smell too, a lot of people say it's too strong but I don't get that at all!

I've been using this mostly when I've just washed my hair and am waiting for it to air dry or after Ive had plaits I'm to help keep the waves! This is the perfect product for holidays especially when I find I wash my hair a lot more than usual due to the heat, pools and water
parks!

For £6 this isn't the cheapest sea salt spray out but it's definitely the best I've used, it doesn't leave my hair half as crusty or stiff as others I've tried!

Have any of you guys tried this? Let me know what you thought!

Sorry for the short post today guys but I'm sure you can imagine I am super busy making the most of my time here I'm the US! I promise normal blogging will commence again soon, love you all, Kirstie xxxx

L'oreal Colour Riche Blake's Pure Red Lipstick

FINALLY! I've been waiting for new L'oreal lady Blake Lively to get her own lipstick! After the seriously popular nude's collection from the glamorous faces of L'oreal I knew it wasn't going to be long until they bought out some more!
This time it's all about the reds and I'm SO pleased Blake has been involved!
The new Pure Red's Collection is made up of 4 new shades from the likes of Blake, Eva, Julianne & Liya. (and I'm sure at some point I'll own them all but I thought I'd limit myself to just the one for now..... it's not like a need another red lipstick!)
I am a huge Blake Lively fan and I won't lie - my purchase of this was heavily influenced by the fact her name was plastered on the front of it!

Blake, Serena, S, that druggie girl in The Town ... whatever you want to call her - she is a total stunner, I have become total captivated with her transformation into one of the most stunning women to hit the red carpets recently.
The lipstick itself is only £6.99 - I'm not sure weather this is a prmotional price of whether the Colour Riche lipsticks have been reduced permantly - a middle price for a high street brand and I was more than happy to pay it.
I love the shape of the bullet, it is slightly different to most products out there with a smaller and more pointed nib which makes it super easy to apply neatly and precisely.
With Autumn more or less here I'm starting to prepare myself for less bright pinks and corals and more reds and deep purples!
This shade is gorgeous, bold and has incredible staying power! L'oreal's lip products are always impressive and I have to say this is definitely my go-to red for now.... I think I may just go and buy the rest of the collection!

My Wayfair Homeware Wishlist & WIN a £150 Gift Card

Since moving out (and even before then really) I have become obsessed with homeware and home accessories. Even if I don't buy loads you'll catch me staring at them and internet window hopping a hell of a lot!

An online company introduced to me recently is Wayfair. "A zillion things home" is their tagline and I have to say they do not dissapoint, there really seems to be a zillion things!!
So many products, so many designs there is 100% something for everyone, no matter what decor you desire or have!
I have spent hours looking through this site, honestly I think it's time I re-thought my non-exsitent career and went into interior design - it would be so fun!
I've pulled a few of my favourite picks from the site and made a snazzy little wishlist for you all! Look how cute their stuff is!
Keep reading to find out how to win an amazing £150 giftcard to spend yourself at Wayfair UK!

After over a year of living together my boyfriend & I still have the crappy doormat which came with our flat! Everytime I come home nd stare at it and think ewww boring! Now this is cool - I love it!
This chair would look so cute in my bedroom, the perfect chair to cosy up on with a good book, a blanket and a cup of tea this winter! I love the green accents, would love a matching duvet set too!
Gingham Doorstop
This just reminded me of Dorothy from the Wizard Of Oz and as you all know it is one of my favourite movies ever, tote fits in with my blog theme aswell so couldn't leave it out! I seriously need more doorstops in my flat I'm fed up of keeping things open with random items!
Fresh Linen Candle
I'm a candle addict, I hate horrible smells I swear my nose is so sensitive so I love having candle and diffusers to keep everything smelling nice! Fresh Linen sounds lovely, like clean sheets on the bed - one of my favourite things!
Matilda Cushion
I just found this so so cute! If like me you were brought up around the genius work of Rohld Dahl like me you will appricate this! There's not just Matilda either there's a whole range of the cushions! These would look so cute in a child's (or my) bedroom!
Altruna Dressing Table
So the inner blogger came out in my when I saw this! With a big mirror places on top an all the storage space either side, this would be the perfect make-up application dresser! I love the one I have at the moment but there just isn't enough room for all my stuff - I need to look at upgrading to something larger!
Sophie Heart Mirror
You can't have a home without mirrors! (and no I'm not vain!) I love this simple wooden heart mirror, so pretty for any room!
Wooden Photo Filing Box
This is a lovely idea, my photos are all shoved n boxes somewhere, this is such a cute box and a great way of organising! You could have each section as a different year or maybe a different holiday of event! I love organisational things like this, I'd happily spend hours sorting through photos and memories!
Heart Bookcase Ends
I'm a big book lover and even though I have a kindle now so tend to get them on there for convenience I still have so so many books cluttering up my life. (Although there's noway I'll be getting rid of any!) I love the way they look and these book ends would really complete a book shelf!

(I'm so sorry for the weird spacing with this post.... I've tried everything and it just won't go right :( )

POTW #32 : My Favourite Mascara.... Ever.

Being a 24 year old girl/lady/woman I've been through a fair few mascaras over the last 10 years or so.
After all this time though there is always one that I come crawling back too, one that for me if just the best mascara for my short stumpy lashes!
Maxfactor's Masterpiece Max has probably been out since I was about 17/18 and it is the mascara that I always recommend to anyone that asks me.
It's thin comb like brush is perfect for my short lashes and I find it so easy to use. The older and bolder sister of Maxfactor's original Masterpiece mascara this tube is for giving high volume and definiton in a gorgeous jet black shade.

I try new mascara's all the time and too be honest I don't really know why this is the one which I always call my favourite and come back to in the end!
For £9.99 it is totally reasonable, I think I'll be sticking to this for now - until new mascaras are released for me to try that is haha I jut can't help myself!
If you have small eyes and short lashes I highly recommend you try this out!

Palmer's Bust Cream Review

Boobs! There we go... I got your attention!
Yes today we are talking boobies... I'd say 98% of you readers are of the female persuasion so this hopefully won't make you feel uneasy at all!

This was a bit of a random, spontaneous purchase for me. After stumbling across this product from Palmers online and seeing some glowing reviews I thought why not give it a go! So I used my Boots points and ordered it into store. (Made me feel like I got it for free so it wasn't so bad!)

This cream is to help firm and tone the bust area aswell as reducing the apperance of stretch marks.
After gaining and then loosing a fair bit of weight (to lol at a fatter me click here.) my boobs have had a rough ride! At one point they were hitting nearly a G size - ridiculous huh? But now I'm back to my normal size 10/12 self they aren't as great as they used to be. (Is this too much info for a blog post..... well if so, sorry - but I've started so I'll finish!) Palmers has made this cream especially for these sorts of problems - pregnancy and extreme wight gain/loss being the main two.

This cream comes out a white colour but rubs in like a soft serum type gel! Rubbed in in circular motions this cocoa butter smells amazing and leaves the skin feeling really soft.
I've been using this for the past few weeks, although I haven't been using it as much as recommended.
This cream is meant to be applied at least twice a day but I am majorly slack and have been using it once a day... if that! I'm just forgetful/lazy okay and when I'm sleepy at night I just can't be bothered!
Saying this even though I've only used it at half the rate recommended I have still noticed that the few stretch marks I have have slightly faded.
I really believe that with more dedication in using this that it really could cause a dramatic change, each time I've used it the bust area has felt alot firmer and with more application I'm sure it would last.

For £6.95 this is just a fraction of the price of other high end products which promise the same thing! I'll definitely be re-purchasing once I've got through this tube!

NEW Make-Up Revolution I ♥ Make-Up The Wow Stick Collection

An exciting post today! That's right I have whole NEW collection from the fabulous Make-up Revoution!
I've mentioned this brand a few times over the last few months, I've been so impressed with everything I've tried from them so far and these are no exception, so grab a cup of tea and settle down for a review.......
Lip crayons have slowly made there way into my most worn lip products over the past year or so. At first I didn't get the hype around them but after buying product after product I have fallen hook, line and sinker for them!
So of course this collection seemed right up my make-up obsessed street.
Make-Up Revolution Super Wow Colour Stick Collection*
With a range of colours this 8 piece collection has a shade for everyone. From a pretty nude to summer brights and autumn darks, I am loving them!

Plus look how cute all the names are, I mean Sunday Girl - that's got to be a blogger dedication right?
I love products that have pretty names, lip shades that are just numbers are so boring (Barry M take note please), I want the job of choosing names for shades!!
Now for a bit of a negative point.... the packaging isn't great and I say this for mainly just one reason. All the tubes look exactly the same when they are out of their boxes.
There is no form of identification on the individual crayons so once out the box you literally have no idea what shade it is! The boxes are cute and I like that the they are the shades of the product but it's hard to match them back together again once you've taken them out, and to be honest I normally don't keep the boxes!
Thank you to my dog for walking past and leaving a hair behind - photo ruiner!
As you can see the range of colours is fab, I am loving Atomic - definitely going to be a holiday shade for me and Maria is the perfect Autumn/Winter colour.
These are matte crayons which I find are great for a long lasting effect, they have amazing pigmentation and gives you a bold colour for hours.
Left to Right :

Another fabulous range of lip crayons and at only £2.99 each these are a total steal! They are easy to apply and the colour really does last! I am proper chuffed with these, a big high five and thank you coming your way MUR!

My Hand Luggage Essentials

Today is the day I'm off on a jet plane and going on my holiday! Yay! After annoying veryone for 9 months it is finally time for us to leave!
Along with a holiday comes packing... and as much as I like to think I'm good at it ... I'm really really not!
I always seem to pack 99% of my belongings and only use about 4% of them - you'd think by now at the age of 24 I would learn but nope... I definitely need those 34 pairs of pants and 57 tops "just in case"! (and that's for a weekend away!)
It's not just my suitcase I seem to overpack but I have always seemed to find space for the randomest things in my hand luggage.
Saying this, this time I feel like I done quite well to be strict when packing my hand luggage! So I was thinking that today on A Yellow Brick Blog I'd show you some of my favourite essentials that I've popped in my backpack.

Keep your eyes peeled here on the blog as even though I've popped away for a little while it will still be live and kicking for you all to read and hopefully enjoy!
First up - the apple shrine. Yup, my iPad mini, iPod & my iPhone. I couldn't leave the country without these little connections to the outside word, is it sad that they a like an extra limb? I'm looking forward to having my iPad for the plane journey, hopefully with that, the in-flight entertainment and my kindle I'll be able to keep myself entertained!
A little bit of reading material to get me super duper excited? Why yes I have that covered! The Little Book Of MAgic has anything and everything you need to know about Disney in it! I think I'll be doing alot of planning with this thing! Plus my Tangle Teezer.... I can't go anywhere with this hair saftey blanket!
My kindle is my little baby, like carrying around a mini library with me 24/7! I'm currently reading the Vampire Academy series so I'm hoping t get in lots of reading time whilst away!
A few beauty essentials now. I couldn't  be a so-called 'beauty blogger' and not have some form of girly products in this post could I?
1. Mirror, obvious really, a great size to take with you, especially as our hotel probably won't have them in helpful places! 2. Lip butter, you can't travel, go on a plane or even really leave the house without having a lip product with you! My skin and lips sometimes feel really dry and thirsty when flying so keeping them hydrated is key! 3. Anti-Bac... public transport is dirty with a capital D, this make me slightly more comfortable with it! 4. Hand cream is a lovely little pick me up I like having in my bag and it's under 100ml so perfect as a backpack item! 5. Wet ones... I don't know why I feel the need to have these, but I do.
