My Summer Hair Saviour

With the UK treating us to some warmer weather these past few months my hair has really taken a turn for the worse.
I mean dry, brittle and frizzy - it's never a look a girl wants - especially whilst trying to dodge styling and using heat to encourage growth!

Nothing I was using seemed to be helpful... until one day, whilst flicking through an old magazine, I spotted a random sachet and I decided to give it a go.
This sachet was for a new product from the Garnier Ultimate Blends range - a range which I have been a huge fan of in the past - the Weightless Nourisher Balm!

After using the sachet I was sold and went out straight away and invested in a full sized pot (which was on offer at the time! #winning).

This stuff is an intense conditioning treatment blended with Virgin Olive Oil, and Safflower Seed Oil!
With a creamy but light texture this balm is so nourishing without weighing down the hair at all.

I've become a complete addict. My hair hasn't felt like light, soft and naturally healthy for months and this product has become a firm fixture in my haircare routine, using it a minimum of once a week.
I've been trying to get my hands on the shampoo and conditioner in this range too but it's been sold out everywhere I go where I live at the moment - island struggles!

If your hair is in need of a pick me up and you're on a budget, I cannot recommend this product enough!

NEW Garnier Ultimate Blends Honey Treasures Collection

That's right ladies - Garnier have bought out a NEW collection in their ever so popular Ultimate Blends range!
I have been a fan of the Ultimate Blends products since they came out last year - another affordable haircare brand that's good on both my hair and my bank balance, yes please!
Seeing the new Honey Treasures collection named "The Strength Restorer" whilst being in the process of changing my hair (involving alot of bleach) seemed like a god send!

There are 4 products in the Honey Treasures range - a shampoo, a conditioner, a 1 minute treatment and a serum. The products were on offer so, of course, I picked up all 4, which actually only came to about £10 - bargain right?
It is said to be for fragile hair, prone to breakage - which is me down to a tee at the moment, healthier and happier hair is my aim!
I have used the Herbal Essences honey based range (Bee Strong) a lot and love the affect it has on my locks so trying out another hair range with honey in it made me super excited!

The shampoo and conditioner smell great! I have used them around 3 or 4 times now and have been pleased with the results.
I'd say the conditioner is quite thin compared to others out there which makes me use alot more of it to feel like I'm covering my hair well - so I can't see it lasting that long, but for the half price price being £1.94, who can complain?

The 1 minute treatment also smells great, I've used it 3 times now and it is more or less gone. I have fairly long hair and when using a hair mask or treatment I like to thoroughly cover my hair root to tip!
This is great for a little pick me up once or twice a week, it leaves my hair soft and shiny and doesn't break the bank balance either!

Lastly the serum. I'm not going to lie I haven't used a hair serum in forever, it's all been about oils for me over the last year or so! I decided to give this a go on it's own - no other products alongside it, to see how it worked in my hair!
I have to say unfortunately the ends of my hair didn't feel half as soft as when I use the sleek perfector oil from Ultimate Blends (which I'm obsessed with.... I love the scent), so I will be using this serum with that instead of on it's own as it DID make really shiny!

Overall I do really like the range, they smell great and make my hair really shiny and mangeable - BUT I think I do still prefer 'The Sleek Restorer' collection!

Check out the range at Boots - here.

May Favourites

My monthly favourite's are here again! It's my second May favourites - can you believe it? It feels like yesterday I was writing all about my loves for May 2013 and here we are 1 year later and I'm sat here doing exactly the same thing!
So here they are - those things I've been obsessing over for the past month! (no make-up this month... which feels seriously weird!)
Garnier Ultimate Blends The Sleek Restorer Collection
If you have't heard of the new ultimate blends range from Garnier - then you've probably been chilling on the moon or something because I'm sure everyone more or less everyone have been trying them out!
I picked up the shampoo and conditioner for 2 reasons - 1. they were half price and 2. they smell amazing!
I am all about smells and if I think something smells good - I will buy it.
These products were working so well on my hair that I picked up the 1 minute treatment aswell! They leave my hair looking smoother and smelling amazing - plus they were a bargain! I've gone through a bottle of each now so it's time to invest in some more - I may try out some of the different collections too!
Monthly Mags - Cosmo, Company, Elle & Glamour
Yes... I may have gone a little overboard with mags this month - 4 is definitely a bit unnecessary .... but there were so many great freebies I couldn't say no!
I love being able to sit down at home or at work and flick through a good mag and these this month have been amazing!
Not only did I get some great free gifts including Benefit's porefessional, but there were lots of a great articles, lots of looks I want to steal and lots of clothes I need to buy!

No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser
After running out of my Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish (one of my holy grail products) this month and being a bit strapped for cash I decided to give this baby a go.
I've had this sat around for a while - I bought it with a No7 voucher a couple of months ago because it bought it down to half the usual price (barry bargain) - and thought now was a good a time as ever to give it a whirl!
I wasn't expecting it to be as good as my beloved cleanse and polish but this stuff gave me a pleasant surprise! It took off my make-up just as well as my C&P, felt light and creamy and have a nice smell about it. The only thing that wasn't great was the muslin cloth along side it - it wasn't as soft and gentle as the nice Liz Earle ones but still worked a charm!
I have been using this every night now and still have so much of the 200ml product left - it is definitely going to last a good while!
Nivea Soft 75ml Tube
This product has been a god send to me. I use it daily and have rambled on about it for the past year! I normally buy a big tub of this stuff but that isn't always that handy ..... so hello to this cute little 75ml tube! This is perfect for my handbag and keeping next to my bedside table!
I use this every night before I go to sleep and it works so well for my skin! I've tried so many night creams recently and they all seem to bring me out in spots (which is not like my skin at all) I love the scent and can't imagine anything taking this stuff's place anytime soon! Superdrug have these at half price at the moment too so they are only £1.24!!
Iggy Azalea - The New Classic Album
Jesus, I had been waiting for this album for what seemed like forever!
About a year ago I first heard Iggy's song 'Work' - and since then I have been praising and bowing down to this woman! This album has been on repeat this whole month and I love love love it! Favourite songs have to be Work, Black Widow, F*** Love & Fancy.
AND obviously I am obsessed with Problem by Ariana Grande & Iggy - two of my favourite artists ever - best song of the year!

November Favourites

It's December - YAY! My favouite month! But with December beginning it also means we say goodbye to November. So of course it's time for another favourites post.
Alot of products I have been loving this month I have already shared with you in previous months, so not too many products to share with you guys today!
First up, the Garnier Intensive 7 Days Ultra-Replenishing Lotion (for very dry skin). Over the last few weeks I have started to get a few really dry patches on my legs. I've never had this before and it actually started to hurt ( sad face!)
I had totally forgotten I had bought this stuff back in the summer when it was offer and seeing as the description is for 'very dry skin' when I saw it I thought it was worth a go.
Low and behold this stuff has worked like a charm, totally healing my skin! It smells lovely too and sinks straight into the skin which is fantastic if you're in a rush!
Next is a product from Joules. This is  product from the Terrific Treats Bath Wash Trio gift set which I recently did a review of (here). This stuff is body wash souffle - and this is not just your normal body wash/shower gel right here - this stuff is amazing. It is a thick creamy substance and lathers up in seconds, it is like conditioner for your body and I have been loving how soft/smooth it makes me skin plus it smells lovely! I am addicted!
When my lovely Mum recently told me she'd bought me a little something I had no idea it would be Christmas related! I LOVE Christmas and with this being my first ever Christmas not living at home I couldn't wait to start getting bit for my own place! This is bauble from Ted Baker and I love it! I love french bulldogs and just think this is so cute - it seriously got me in the festive mood - thank you Mum!
Another Lee Stafford product? Why yes it is! These are the Argan Oil Nourishing Shampoo & Conditioner and I have been using them for the last month or so! A little more expensive than the usual range from LS but I thought I'd treat myself when they were on offer - 3 for £20 (I also got the treatment).  The words argan oil definitely swayed me to try these and they have been fab! The shampoo is relly thick, it worried me at first but using both these together leaves my hair so soft and feeling lot stronger - paired with my morocanoil this is a great haircare routine!
Okay so this is my favourite lipstick at the moment! The Perrie lipstick from the Little Mix collection at Collection (formally Collection 2000!). I don't think this photo does the shade any justice at all... damn you winter and your rubbish weather/lighting! It is an amazing purple colour and I have been wearing it non-stop throughout November! Unfortunately I've heard it is sold out at the moment which just makes me wish I had bought more than one!

Now for a couple of non-beauty favs...
Little Mix - Salute : This has GOT to be my album of the month I have been listening to it non-stop! I such a fan of both their style and their music and this album is amazing! If you've liked any of there previous songs you'll love this! I love Move, Little Me, Competition & These Four Walls. Now I reeeeeeally want tour tickets!

Ja'mie Private School Girl : If you know me then you know I am the biggest fan of We Can Be Heros and Summer Heights High - I have been obsessed with them ever since watching them years ago. So when I heard that  god Chris Lilley was making another series with Ja'mie I was so excited. Private School Girl has been hilarious and I am gutted that it has finished already! If you haven't seen any Chris Lilley shows before I seriously urge you to go and do it now! You won't regret it - full on lols guaranteed!

So then girls and boys - what have been your favourites over the last month (and they don't have to be beauty related!)

August Favourites

Another 31 days, another 4 weeks, another month down.
Can you BELIEVE it is September?!?
Is it bad that I love it - I love the build up to Winter because... winter is my favourite season! (waiting for people to look at me in disappointment - sorry kids!)
Anyway August has been both a good and a busy one and September looks to be even crazier! I'm moving out of my house for the first time.. TODAY and I'm off to Bestival on Thursday - it is all go go go!
Anyway back to August and my favourites of the month...

Yes, this is the "wash bag" from Ted Baker, but looking at the size of the Make-up bags from them though I knew they would not be big enough for the likes of my daily face so I thought I'd get the washbag where I knew everything would fit!
I bought this from ASOS and it was £25. I love French Bulldogs. Like, alot. If I see one it makes me want to cry and my number 1 aim in life is to be a French Bulldog owner (I even have names picked out already..... am I sad?) but anyway.... this pattern is perfect for me! So so cute!

Now... if you have been reading my blog for a while you know that in last month's favourites I raved about Soap & Glory's Sugar Crush Body Buttercream. The smell is just so incredible (if you want a description head over to that post) and at the end of that post I said "I cannot wait to get the body wash aswell!" ... Well guess what came back into stock! And with it being 3 for 2 I grabbed 3 while I could! They are £6.50 each, which in fairness for a bodywash is a little expensive but the smell is just amazing and they are so creamy and moisturising I can't imagine using anything else now! 10/10!

I love Taylor Swift, you should know this by now, and I own all of her perfumes. (I am not ashamed, I have an obsession with country music and I think she is so talented.) Her first perfume Wonderstruck I actually bought when I was travelling in the US as it wasn't out in the UK yet and is probably my favourite perfume of all time - big statement there.
So when she bought out another new perfume a few months ago - Taylor by Taylor Swift - I knew I had to have it! But with me trying to be sensible with money I have been putting off splashing out for it but this month I just thought why not? My local Superdrug only had a 30ml so that's what I settled for and it was only £22, barry bargain!
I love love love this scent, alot more than the second perfume, "Wonderstruck Enchanted" as it is alot sweeter and I actually really recognise the scent but can't work out what it smells like! Nice work T-Swizzle!

My Zoeva brushes HAVE to be in my favourites for this month. I did a whole post on them so I won't bore you again with everything but you can read that here if you want to find out more! But they are just such good quality and I have been using them non-stop! Fabulous brushes!

I know I am a big slow with the up-take on this one but I am loving the Garnier 5 sec Perfect Blur Smoothing Perfecting Primer. Yes this has been out for a good while now and I have been meaning to pick it up for months but for some reason every time I always thought "I'll get it next time" But when it was down to about £8.65 or something on promotion I snapped it up and I am so glad I did!
This stuff is awesome, primers are something I switch up all the time and this one is brilliant! It leaves your skin so silky smooth and perfect for make-up application - I have used so much of this that I'll probably be buying a replacement real soon!

I'm just going to have to add Pretty Little Liars to my favourites this month. THAT finale was just amazing!
I'm still sat here thinking about it! I have read a couple of the books and have been a loyal watcher/fan since the show started and I recommend it to everyone and anyone! Obviously I'm not going to write any spoilers but if you watched it too and are upto date you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about! Bring on October 22nd and the Halloween episode!

What have been your favourites this month?!
