Rimmel Kate Moss Nude Lipstick - #45

Rimmel couldn't go and release a new lipstick collection without me running to Boots and grabbing one... obviously!

Yes, the Kate Moss collection has once again grown and this time it's delved into the realm of nudes. (Which I'm not surprised at in the slightest I mean ... it is the year of the nude right?!)

I decided to go for shade #45 - there were a couple of others in my local Boots but they both looked a bit too pale for me and I didn't want to just buy them for the sake of it - so I just stuck to the one!

I think we all know now what the formula to the Kate Moss lipsticks are by now! These are the regular long-lasting creamy lippys which are easy to apply and my personal drugstore favourite!

I really like this colour, I probably wouldn't go any lighter than this with a brown based nude as I'm not a fan of the foundation lips look!
I can tell already that this is going to get alot of wear over the next few months :)
Super quick post today..... please let me know if you have any requests for posts or videos - I feel like I've been boring recently and I really want to up my blogging and vlogging game!

Kirstie's Top Picks For Purple Lipsticks

Right now I am LOVING lipsticks - I actually cannot get enough. Well I've always loved lipsticks but the amount  I have bought over the last couple of months is both staggering and worrying!
I don't think I will ever have too many in my collection! A colour that keeps appearing in my "most used" is one I'd never really worn until this year and that is.... purple.
I am loving purple shades, from bright funky violets to deep sultry purples, I have found them to be some of my most reached for at the moment!
So I've picked out a few of my personal favourites to share with you all...

1. Sleek True Colour - Mystic
2. Collection, Little Mix - Perrie
3. Barry M - 156
4. MAC - Rebel
5. Rimmel Moisture Renew - Dark Night Waterl-oops!
6. Rimmel Kate Moss - 04

1. Sleek True Colour - Mystic : If you've read my blog recently you may have seen my blog post on this lipstick! I bought it on a trip to London back in September and have been wearing it ALOT. It is a gorgeous bright violet purple and for more pictures check out my post on it here.

2. Collection Little Mix - Perrie : Now I was after this lipstick for weeks and weeks, my local Superdrug doesn't stock the LM Collection and it was sold out online *big sad face* - but when I spotted it last week back in stock on the Superdrug website - that was it, mine! I'm so pleased I managed to get hold of it aswell as I love it, a total bargain at only £2.99, I'm so impressed. I wore it last weekend to my best friend's wedding party and it stayed on so so well - check out a photo here!

3. Barry M - 156 : You all know I'm a massive fan of Barry M lip products - their lipsticks and glosses are some of my favourite and most used ever! I included this one in my Beauty Buys Of The Week a couple of months ago and have been loving it! (Not sure why it looks so pink in the swatch.... as you can see in the tube it in't that pink!)

4. MAC - Rebel : I've been eyeing this beauty up for months and finally decided to splash out the £15 for it! So many of you will be owners Rebel and I know why - this is so easy to wear and being a MAC lipstick the forumla is gorgeous! I love their lipsticks so much... I just wish I could afford more of them! I highly recommend it!

5. Rimmel Moisture Renew - Dark Night Waterl-oops! : This was mentioned in my October Favourites post - the new Rimmel Moisture Renew lipsticks are incredible! They are so thick and pigmented - the swatch above was just one light swipe of this beauty, they are flawless! I cannot wait to buy more of them!

6. Rimmel Kate Moss - 04 : I have some good news and some bad news about this one - Bad news....I believe it has been discontinued BUT good news I purchased it from Fragrance Direct and it was only £1.99!!  Absolute Barry Bargain! The Kate Moss lipsticks are amazing, if you own any of them you will know how great they are, I can't believe this one isn't available anymore - it is a tragedy! If you are looking for a really dark dark purple - this is the one for you!

Have you tried any of these purples? Have you got any shades you recommend?

Before I go I have a quick favour to ask from you beautiful lot - if you could head on over to facebook and "like" this photo for my best friend too help her win the Jones & Jones comp - I will owe you one :)

Pink & Pouty - Lipstick Favourites

Pink Lipstick. Something I (and probably most of you) wear most days. Unless I'm wearing some form of red clothing and have to match or just fancy a nude lip, nine times out of ten I will pick a shade of pink when completing my make-up for the day/evening.
So with that in mind I thought I would share with you my top picks for pink lipstick.

There are hundreds of shades of pink out there on the market and I mean hundreds. Alot of the time I will pick up a lipstick and have to think to myself "do you have a colour similar to this already?" normally the answer is 'possibly' and normally the thought is 'oh well'  and I'll purchase it anyway because well... no-one can have too many lipsticks.

But even though I own countless lipsticks and lipglosses (storage is becoming an issue) I do have my favourites and the ones I think of as my old reliables which live both in my handbag and make-up bag.  Most of the lipsticks I will show are just high-street drugstore brands which, sometimes, are no more than a few pounds (so are totally worth the investment) and a couple are mac, so a little more expensive but I believe their lipsticks are worth the prices they charge.
I am not 100% positive if all of these lipsticks are still available for purchase but it is still worth a look online if not if you wanted to try them out.

1. e.l.f. mineral lipstick - Nicely Nude
2. Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipstick - 110 Pink Gossip
3. Barry M Lip Paint - 140
4. MAC Satin Lipstick - Viva Glam Nicki
5. Barry M Lip Paint - 146
6. Rimmel Kate Moss - 20
7.  MAC Frost Lipstick- Trimming Talk
8. Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter - 075 Lollipop

I wear all of these for both daytime and evening looks and always pair them with a lipgloss to give them an extra shine (my favourite being the Barry M Lipgloss in Bubblegum which I mentioned in my Colours Of The Rainbow Tag post).
As you can see from the photos all of these lipsticks are all pretty moisturising and I love the silky smooth feel they give my lips as well as the strong colour. The swatches on my arm are on average around 3 layers of the product, although not all of them needed that many - the MAC lipsticks are hugely pigmented.

Here's a few photos to give you an idea of what they look like on.

I would love to know if any of you also use these and what your favourite pink lipsticks are (as I'm always looking for more!).
