Homeware Wishlist

Lately I have been obsessed with looking at homeware
With a new season starting I love seeing everyone's decor on pinterest and instagram and can only ever dream of having a pin-worthy home
I have been looking at everything from plates to lampshades and I thought why not do a quick wishlist on here of a few bits that have caught my eye and are sat in my basket!

Letter K Cushion
I've wanted some of these for my flat for so long now and finding them on the ASDA website for just £5 each .... incredible! They also do a # and an & .... I need these for my bed/sofa asap!

I've seen these so many times on Instgram and Pinterest and now I've finally found them! I really want to transform my bedroom and I think these with a plain white duvet set would look so cute with my black leather bed .... it needs to happen!

Isn't this just gorgeous! Don't ask me where on earth I'd put it.... but I'd find somewhere.. maybe my hallway. It is SO pretty, Wayfair do the greatest homeware.

A practical piece now...this looks like the most convenient blogging space ever! A great desk for my laptop and camera and awesome storage alongside for all my products and bits and bobs... hurry up Lottery I need to win you!

How cute is this idea! Who needs a normal chalk board when you can have a chalk globe, such a unique idea.

I'm a HUGE Christmas lover and obviously a huge candle lover and what do I love even more.... Christmas scented candles! I've been burning my 'Christmas Cookie' candle all bloomin' year and thought the sound of Christmas Baking sounded just as yummy. You can never have too many candles.

This is in the wishlist purely because it looks SO cute and at only £6 this is such a lovely little extra to the bedside table.

I love me some cake (duh) and this little sign couldn't be truer!

The Wizard Of Oz is one of my favourite movies and very close to my heart. My eyes lit up when I saw these two wall art pieces, everything in my flat is pretty much black and white so these would go perfectly - they are a tad out of my price range for now though.

Where are your favourite places to find fun homeware pieces?

Festival Beauty Tips From River Island & A Yellow Brick Blog!

Hello you lovely lot! I'm so sorry for the lack of posts recently - I'm not sure what's happened to be totally honest but I promise I will sort it out and get back on the blogging wagon bigger and better than ever!

A few weeks back I was asked by one of the top high fashion street stores in the UK for a few of my favourite beauty tips for Country Festivals.
I LOVE Festivals and living on the IOW I live basically on top of 2 HUGE country festivals every single year so I couldn't wait to team up with River Island and share festivals things I live by!
I've been to my fair few and over the last 10 years have worked out so many tips and tricks when it comes to beauty bits for the weekend.
Country Festivals are probably the biggest, the muddiest and the craziest of all the festivals so being prepared is key to having both a relaxed and a fun weekend!

Check out 3 of my top beauty tips below as well as some awesome fashion tips from the lovely Ellie!

Want more Festivals tips?
Check out the rest of River Island's amazing blog segment - here and My top 50 Festival Tips - here... I talk everything from what to wear to where to camp to why you need to pack bin bags!

What festivals are you going to this year?! I cannot wait for Bestival!

My Wayfair Homeware Wishlist & WIN a £150 Gift Card

Since moving out (and even before then really) I have become obsessed with homeware and home accessories. Even if I don't buy loads you'll catch me staring at them and internet window hopping a hell of a lot!

An online company introduced to me recently is Wayfair. "A zillion things home" is their tagline and I have to say they do not dissapoint, there really seems to be a zillion things!!
So many products, so many designs there is 100% something for everyone, no matter what decor you desire or have!
I have spent hours looking through this site, honestly I think it's time I re-thought my non-exsitent career and went into interior design - it would be so fun!
I've pulled a few of my favourite picks from the site and made a snazzy little wishlist for you all! Look how cute their stuff is!
Keep reading to find out how to win an amazing £150 giftcard to spend yourself at Wayfair UK!

After over a year of living together my boyfriend & I still have the crappy doormat which came with our flat! Everytime I come home nd stare at it and think ewww boring! Now this is cool - I love it!
This chair would look so cute in my bedroom, the perfect chair to cosy up on with a good book, a blanket and a cup of tea this winter! I love the green accents, would love a matching duvet set too!
Gingham Doorstop
This just reminded me of Dorothy from the Wizard Of Oz and as you all know it is one of my favourite movies ever, tote fits in with my blog theme aswell so couldn't leave it out! I seriously need more doorstops in my flat I'm fed up of keeping things open with random items!
Fresh Linen Candle
I'm a candle addict, I hate horrible smells I swear my nose is so sensitive so I love having candle and diffusers to keep everything smelling nice! Fresh Linen sounds lovely, like clean sheets on the bed - one of my favourite things!
Matilda Cushion
I just found this so so cute! If like me you were brought up around the genius work of Rohld Dahl like me you will appricate this! There's not just Matilda either there's a whole range of the cushions! These would look so cute in a child's (or my) bedroom!
Altruna Dressing Table
So the inner blogger came out in my when I saw this! With a big mirror places on top an all the storage space either side, this would be the perfect make-up application dresser! I love the one I have at the moment but there just isn't enough room for all my stuff - I need to look at upgrading to something larger!
Sophie Heart Mirror
You can't have a home without mirrors! (and no I'm not vain!) I love this simple wooden heart mirror, so pretty for any room!
Wooden Photo Filing Box
This is a lovely idea, my photos are all shoved n boxes somewhere, this is such a cute box and a great way of organising! You could have each section as a different year or maybe a different holiday of event! I love organisational things like this, I'd happily spend hours sorting through photos and memories!
Heart Bookcase Ends
I'm a big book lover and even though I have a kindle now so tend to get them on there for convenience I still have so so many books cluttering up my life. (Although there's noway I'll be getting rid of any!) I love the way they look and these book ends would really complete a book shelf!

(I'm so sorry for the weird spacing with this post.... I've tried everything and it just won't go right :( )

And now your chance to win win win! Wayfair have been kind enough to give me a £150 giftcard to give away to one of you lovely dedicated A Yellow Brick Blog babies! This is open to the UK and Ireland only and the winner must be able to provide their name, email address and postal address upon winning.
