World Kindness Day with Cotton Traders
'Have courage and be kind." - Cinderella 2015
One of my favourite Disney quotes and one that I think is easy to actually live by. Kindness is something I've always tried to uphold, I mean come on, it's not hard is it?
Last week it was World Kindness Day.... did you know? You may have spotted it on Twitter! A day dedicated to kindness, love and our ability to put a smile on someone else's face.
Cotton Traders recently asked if I'd like to join their #WorldKindnessDay campaign - spreading the word and encouraging everyone to get involved with committing a random act of kindness not just on the 13th but throughout this whole month. Obviously I was straight on board and want you guys to be too!As part of WKD (haha wkd!) Cotton Traders were lovely enough to send me a box of kindness - which I have to say has put a huge smile on my face. It was like they knew my favourite things and popped them all into a box - cosyness all round!
This included thick knitted socks, a hot water bottle, a gorgeous mug and some yummy teabags just to mention a few bits.
With the weather being so poop and having some early morning starts at work these things have really been perking me up when I'm home. There's nothing more relaxing than being at home all cosy and warm with a nice cup of tea - Cotton Traders really hit the nail of the head when thinking up this kindness box.
10 Easy Ways You Can Commit A Random Act Of Kindness This Month:
- Compliment a stranger
- Invite your friends/mum over for some tea and cake
- Share another bloggers post with your friends/family/followers
- Donate to charity - whether it be money or some unwanted items
- Give blood
- Make someone giggle with a funny picture or video
- Have a clearout of those things you don't use and offer them to friends (I love doing this with all my beauty products)
- Buy someone you love their favourite chocolate bar or snack as a little gift
- Offer to babysit for a friend/family member so they can go out
- Have a chat with someone who looks/seems a bit lonely, maybe a customer at work or someone in your supermarket?
It doesn't have to be anything extravagant - just something to pop a smile on a face, it's often the smallest of gestures that make the biggest difference. (Plus it makes you feel good too, knowing you've made someone else happy!)
Want to share your act of kindness with us? Just use the hashtag #CTWorldKindnessDay and tell us what you've been upto! Maybe you could even make your own kindness box to give to a friend or family member?

I'm Loving... #24
Inside Amy Schumer
Okay - this woman is bloody hilarious! I can't believe I had never watched this show before - it's now on Season 2 and it literally makes me lauhg out loud! Unfiltered, outrageous and ridculous comedy, it really is so up my street! I want to go out and party with this girl!
Priscilla Queen Of The Desert The Musical
I went to see this at the Mayflower this month with my parents as they had bought me a ticket for my birthday back in February! I LOVE musicals and this was amazing. For one... it had Duncan James in it - and he was in his pants about 30 seconds into it which was an added bonus! The music, the comedy, the drag - this made me smile from start to finish! I highly recommend!
MAC Give Me Sun Bronzer
I had totally forgotten about this little chestnut in my make-up collection until I dragged it out for Bestival! I got this years and years ago in New York but don't wear it that often anymore just because I'm never normally tanned enough! I had fake tanned for Besti so this was a perfect match - such a gorgeous shade.
Bleach London Pink Rose Shampoo & Conditioner
This shampoo and conditioner worked wonders in my hair this past month - even better than the dye itself! I left them both on for 5-10 minutes and it turned my hair into a fabulous shade of baby pink - winner wiiner!
My New Elsa mug
Opps, I may have gone to the Disneystore this month. This mug was half price so I couldn't not buy it, you know? Cute!
L'oreal Make-up Genius App
The clue is in the name - this is genius! Honestly just download it and give it a go, and if you fancy a laugh try it on your boyfriend/husband/dad!
Scream Queens
YES! Finally! I have been waiting for this show for so many months now and it is finally here - Yay!!!! This show is hilarious and the cast is just so on point - I love Emma Roberts and the fact Ariana has a guest role in it just makes it even better!
Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub
With the change in weather recently my lips have really been paying the price. Crusty, flaky, dry lips are just a no-no so I've been using this stuff a few times a week to try and keep my lips soft and smooth!
I have used this brush everyday for over a year now - I feel like I haven't spoke about it a lot so I wanted to share my love for it in this post! I use this for my contouring, the angle makes it fab for my bronzer and then I use the other end/side for my highlight - I don't think I could live without it!

Flamingo Gifts : Presents For Everyone
Living on an island the internet is my port of call 90% of the time when it comes to shopping and especially when it comes to buying gifts for people!
I am seriously limited with the shops in my home town so the more quirky and random websites I can find to order things from the better!
Flamingo Gifts is a new site in my life and it's one of those websites which I went on and just instantly fell in love with everything they sold!
This is the sort of store I live for, I love searching through all the different category's and seeing all the different quirky products - I can literally spend hours browsing!
The lovely people at Flamingo recently sent me a few products which had caught my eye on the site and I have been overwhelmed by the awesomeness!
Firstly are these two candles from Flamingo Candles. Now... I think the names are just a coincidence and they are 2 totally separate companies - please correct me if I'm wrong people! I already own a Flamingo Candle
The cream coloured candle is one of the Aromatherapy candles in the range and is the Relaxing scent. This is a lovely blend of lavender and ylang ylang is something I would have hated when I was younger but as an adult I find it so calming and totally perfect for an evening in reading a book and de-stressing my mind! This one is £11.90.
The pink candle is Pink Lemonade (makes sense right?) and my new favourite! If you love sweet scents this is for you, the scent is so strong and fills the room in minutes! A mix of strawberries, lemon juice and champange this sugary fruity scent is perfect for my sweet tooth- plus this one is just £10.20!
Not only do these candles smell nice they also look lovely!
How cute is this mug!? I love Roald Dahl stories and this mug collection is adorable!
Matilda is one of my favourite childhood movies so this one really stuck out to me! Mugs make amazing presents - who doesn't like a nice hot drink, especially at this time of year!

As well as quirky household items Flamingo Gifts also has a few fashion items - bags, wallets, scarves etc! I fell in love with this cute pug print scarf as soon as I saw it! There are loads of awesome designs on there, sometimes it's nice to have something to wear that isn't from the highstreet!
And lastly we have my new favourite thing! Did someone say a heatable Gromit? Yup that's right! Cuter and a bit more fun than a hot water bottle plus it smells super relaxing too! Just pop it in the microwave and enjoy the warm hug - perfect for all ages!

I highly recommend you head over to Flamingo Gifts and have a little look - I can guarantee you'll fall in love and spend your morning, afternoon or evening browsing the endless pages of gifts making a mental wishlist for both yourself and your friends and family!

Harry Potter Studio Tour Haul
I went to the Harry Potter Studios - yayyyy! Although, you probably already know this by now! I did a blog post a few weeks ago and I may have tweeted/instagramed and facebooked about it a little bit.
When I did my blog post which you can see here - I said that I may do a little haul of all the things I decided to pick up while I was there, so, guess what - here it is!
I probably spent a little more than I should of here (yolo). I have been to The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter in Florida so already had lots of stuff they were selling (as I went a bit crazy in the gift shops when I was there) but still I was over-excited and had such an incredible day that there was still so much I had to buy!
The Making Of Harry Potter : The Official Guide
I love a good souvenir! This tour guide is great, it is like the whole tour in a book! Loads of photos, sketches and facts that are great to have a look at as little reminder or share with friends who haven't yet been! I actually purchased it after the tour as I wanted something to help me remember all the different things is seen over the day! It's great and was only about £8/£9!
Postcards
Just some more little things to remember my day - I have a few from Florida aswell so thought it would be great to get some from here too!
Dark Mark Lollipop
This was just a quick present I picked up for my boyfriend when I was there! It was only around £3/4 but I didn't really think he was appreciate a t-shirt or a fluffy the dog plush toy! He is still yet to eat it so I have no idea if if tastes nice or not!
Marauders Map Heat-Activated Mug
I am such a sucker for mugs! They are the sort if thing I always pick up in gift shops!
I think it's because I love tea so much and know they will be used! I fell in love with this mug as soon as I saw it was heart-activated! Yup you heard me right, whenever you fill this beauty up with a yummy hot drink the footprints from marauders map slowly appear - amazing!
I thought I would insert a couple of photos fr you of both sides and how it looks before and after! It was £12.95 and it is huge - perfect for my green tea addiction!
Hogwarts MagnetWhere I have just moved house into my own place magnets are something I need a lot more of! We only have a couple at the moment so this was a perfect edition to our new fridge/freezer!
Chocolate Frog
Now this is something I knew I was going to buy. After not buying one in Florida and regretting it ever since I knew that I had to get one!
It was £7.95 which of course is a little steep for a chocolate animal but I can honestly say I'd pay it again! Perfect for a Harry potter fan, the chocolate is a lot bigger than I expected and it was actually solid - so you do get a lot for your money! Shame about the card though.... I was hoping for Dumbledore!
Green Screen Photo
This photo was taken in the green screen room! An attraction which is just before half way through the tour! You can have a go driving the car (which obviously isn't really there....) or you can have a real life broom experience!
As there was 2 of us we decided to skip the queue for the brooms and just have a go on the car screen! You get to film a mini video and have your photo taken! Of course we both just had to buy the photo - it was £8, but for me it was totally worth the money! Can't wait to get it framed!
Have you been to the studio tour yet? Did you buy anything? I cannot wait to go back!
