Lucky Cloud's Coconut Lip Butter* has been my go-to balm throughout these past fewc colder weeks - I HAVE to pop some on before bed so it basically lives on my bedside table with my other beauty essentials!
At £4 this is slightly more expensive than your usual vaseline but I can hand on heart say it is SO much better and worth those couple of extra £s! Enriched with coconut butter, sweet almond oil, thistle oil, vitamin e oil, cocoa butter and soya wax these lip balms are vegan friendly and smell divine! Plus you don't need alot so the cute little tin they come in will last weeks and weeks! I love being able to introduce friends and family to new brands I've fallen in love with especially as a gift, and this is definitely one I will be shouting about.

Next a fabulous set from Tropic Skincare! As you may have seen in previous posts on here and Instagram I am currently trying out a variety of products from Tropic - including THIS ... Limited Edition So Sleepy Collection*.
I have wanted a set like this for years, but others that I have seen haven't been half as affordable. For £10 you get a 15ml pillow mist and a 5ml temple roll on. Literally amazing for anyone who travels a lot and/or people who would like to test out the products to see if they are for them! I have fallen in love with this set and I'm kind of praying Tropic bring it out in a full size version...
Last but not least.... a few little gifts perfect for your besties! I always think framing a well-loved photo is a lovely little addition to any birthday or Christmas present. I grabbed this frame from Tesco for only around £3 - and you can print photos instantly in Boots from 39p ... cheap and thoughtful, you can't go wrong! (I bloomin' love this snap from one of my best friends wedding earlier this year!)
Purple Ronnie is SUCH a classic (if you are around my age you would have grown up with it) - this Best Friend Forever book is full of fun quotes and pictures at only £5.99 is a cute thoughtful addition to any stocking!

Well there you have it .... stop reading my blog and get shopping you don't have long!

Nails HQ All In One Review

Bonjourno ladies and maybe gents! I have a review for you all today, I feel like it's been a while since I did a review.... a while being a few days - but you know... it's been a while since it felt like I've written one.
Today I'm talking all about an All in One nail treatment from the lovely people at Nail HQ.
Nails HQ All In One*

Nail HQ are a new brand on the block - specialising in ... well... nails! (duh!)
With everything from top coats to hydrating primers they are the new generation of nail treatments.

This treatment is the All In One. A clear nail product made with that special ingredient we all now and love  Argan Oil.

The formula contains a unique mineral complex, sounds fancy right?
It is said to help improve moisture, strengthen and condition your nails - helping to prevent brittleness and breakage (which is what my nails are prone too!)

I've been using this for the last couple of weeks or so and can really see it's work being done. I've been popping it on probably two or three times a week and my nails have grown considerably! When at work they normally break every other flaming day, but since using this stuff they have actually got some length to them and I can actually physically see and feel the difference.

This stuff is great if, like me, you suffer with brittle, dry or flaky nails - it has worked wonders on mine. I will be avoiding regular nail polish for a little longer whilst using this and will be using it as a base coat whenever I do decide to start painted them again.
I think it would also be fab to use if you've just had false nails removed as it really does help to get the strength back.

I'm really looking forward to trying out more products from the Nail HQ range - maybe I'll actually have some half decent looking hands by the end of the year!

Nails HQ products can be found in a number of stores including Tesco and Superdrug and you can find out all about their range on their website - here.

Little Ondine Natural Nail Polish Review

When it comes to me and nail products..... it never really works out overly well! My nails are pretty cr*p and I struggle to find polishes that last more than a day and/or don't make my nails more brittle than they already are!

Fast forward to September 2015 and a brand new natural beauty brand that has come into my life and I may have just found something worth shouting about!

Little Ondine are a fairly new brand on the block and after hearing all about their products and being offered to try a couple I thought it sounded like a fab idea.

From what I was told these polishes sounded almost too good to be true and I couldn't wait to give them a go.

To start they only have 3 ingredients! 3!
Water, natural resin and organic colourants. Just 3 little things make up these unique polishes and what's best about that? It means they are odourless - fantastic for when your painting in public especially AND quick drying - something everyone wants in a polish!
The packaging (shown above) is fabulous too, great fold-up cardboard containers which then unfold to reveal all the information you need about the polishes and how to use them #genius!

After shaking the bottle well and washing and drying my hands as instructed I sat down ready and raring to transform my short, stumpy boring nails.
The consistency of the polishes are fairly 'gloopy' which worried me at first but the style of the brush makes it so easy to sweep the product on. (Even on my tiny little nails!)
As promised the product is totally odour free (so no moans from the boyfriend who was sat next to me!) and after a few coats and just a few minutes they were totally opaque and dry - I couldn't believe it.

The instructions also mention to keep your hands dry for the first hour after painting.... I can't remember whether I did or not to be honest (I'm a bit of a serial hand washer I'm afraid) but I'm going to remember this for the future.
I couldn't believe how brilliant this polish looked. So even that it looked like it could be shellac or gellish, I was paranoid that I was going to chip it and ruin my fabulous work BUT I have to say this lasted probably ten times longer than any high street polish I've used in the past on my nails. (like I said before I never have much luck, but this really did work!)

When you're ready to change these polishes removing it couldn't be easier - you literally just peel it off
No nail polish removers or acetone required! Something else which always makes my nails even worst and with Little Ondine I can avoid it!
When I came to take it off I did have a few nails lifting ready to be peeled already so it couldn't have been easier, plus I didn't feel like I was damaging my nails at all.
Since using these two shades my nails have grown and actually feel a little stronger, which is something I was not expecting at all!

I was surprised by how many shades are in the Little Ondine collection - over 60 (all found here) - there is literally something for everyone, every season and every event!

Please let me know if you try them out and what you think - I can't wait to invest in some more shades, at £9.20 each they are a little more expensive than your usual Barry M the for the quality and the fact they are all natural I'll happily pay a little more.

This Week I'm Loving...#3

Boots Ingredients Coconut & Almond Intensive Hair Mask
I literally have 3 of these in my bathroom at the moment, I bought them a while ago and after using lots of different things over the last few months I had forgot about these sat in my drawer. Whilst having a little rummage I decided to crack a new one open and give my hair a little coconut loving! I forgot how much I love this stuff - it is a total and utter bargain at only £1.99 and makes my hair so soft and shiny. If you're looking for a pick me up for your hair but are on a tight budget this is the stuff for you!

Lucy Mecklenburgh - Be Body Beautiful
Now you've probably seen my review on this already (if not check the side bar as I think it's still in my most read of this week or click HERE)! I have fallen in love with this book, it is amazing for everything health and fitness related. From recipes to self-esteem Lucy has covered everything in an easy and helpful fashion, if you're looking to turn your life around this is definitely worth a look!

Make-Up Revolution Radiant Light Collection*
I was recently sent these new products from the lovely people at MUR and I am obsessed with them! These are a new range of highlighting powders and after using their Vivid Baked highlighters to deaht I knew I was going to be a fan of these too! There are 3 different shades which you can read all about here, from a gorgeous light pink undertone to a more bronzed goddess shade! My favourite at the moment is Breathe!

Into The Woods
If you follow me on twitter you will know that I bloomin' well loved this movie and yes I have seen it twice already at the cinema! (My Mumma wanted to go so I kindly offered to go again!) I love a good musical and of course I love Disney so this was a win-win in my eyes! It made me laugh and I have been singing the songs ever since - I need to invest in the soundtrack! (My love for Anna Kendrick has once again grown!)

Jordans Raisin & Almond Granola
I bought this and a replacement for sweet snacks. I have such a sweet tooth, things like chocolate and biscuits are a serious weakness in my diet! But so far in 2015 I've managed to stay clear of them for the most part! I have been loving this stuff with natural yogurt, fresh fruit and a little bit of honey! I know granola isn't the most healthy option but it's better than a bar of galaxy right?

Frozen Money Pot
I got this little beauty from my little brother for Christmas! Saving money is something I really want to do in 2015 and this is going to help! It's so pretty I'll never want to smash it!

YSL Nail Polish - Rouge Dada
I recently purchased this and have been so so impressed! I am literally the worst nail painter in the history of the world! BUT.... the brush on this is so amazing, it makes it so easy to paint my nails... plus the colour is gorgeous! I've worn this a couple of times now and have been so proud of myself with the results haha!

How To get Away With Murder
Oh my god - this show is amazing! I saw the trailer for it when I was in Florida back in September and I knew it was something I was going to enjoy. I literally watched the whole first season in less than 2 days. If you like crime/law dramas with a bit of mystery you will love this! It's like Legally Blonde meets Scandal, bring on season 2!

My New Laptop
Yay! It's official, I finally have a laptop again! Yes, that's right I have been without a functioning laptop for a year now - I have been blogging on a netbook.... do you know how hard that is? I've definitely learnt some patience I tell ya! It is so nice to have itunes back and I finally feel like I can blog properly... and hopefully get my youtube up and running again soon!

5 Glitter Top Coats For This Christmas

It's Christmas in a matter of days and you know what that means.... glitter and sparkle everywhere!
Everywhere..... including our nails! I love a bit of sparkle a this time of year and these are some of my favourite top coats to rock!

Left to right :
INM Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat - Gold*
INM Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat - Silver*
Rimmel Glitter Bomb - Midnight Mistletoe
No7 Stay Perfect Nail Polish - In The Stars
Barry M Nail Paint Limited Edition 2013
I love top coats like these are they go with so many shades and you can just wear them on their own and I find it so much wearable at this time of year!  (although they are a totally nightmare to photograph when you on't have the fanciest of equipment!)
Every single year I always buy more like these, I'm a sucker for sparkle and so many brands bring out new ones each Christmas I just can't help myself!
The first two coats are the northern lights duo which are fab! These were sent to be recently by INM and they are great! A really subtle but gorgeous sheen which give a great sparkle in the light! They make my crap nails look a little bit more sassy and with painting my nails alot less recently in an attempt to help them grow, this coat is great to keep them strong and shiny!
I've been trying them over the top of loads of shades and they definitely look the best over a black! Love love love, but I still can't choose between them which one is my fav - keep your eyes on my twitter/insta for more photos! More info - here ... gold/silver.

Middle coat is a new one in my collection which I actually received from Emma in my Christmas Beauty Box Swap! If Christmas could be summed up in a a nail polish this Rimmel beaut would be it really! Red and green glitter in a nutshell - I was so chuffed to see this in the box as I hadn't actually seen this one before in the shops!

Next is the No7 polish in shade 'In The Stars' - this is a lovely iridescent glitter, so perfect on it's own or maybe just on one finger (you know you still love that look!)

Last is a Barry M polish from last year which I still wear all the time - no matter no time of year it is! Barry M always have great Limited Edition glitter shades at Christmas time, usually one or two for both Superdrug and Boots! This is a classic silver glitter, perfect for everyones collection!

One of my New Year's resolutions is too keep better care of my nails, having extensions for so long did wreck them a bit, so strong, long nails here I come!

Bargain Beauty : MUA Pistachio Ice Cream Nail Polish

Another bargain beauty post today! I love discovering and picking up cheap products! Recently I was having a browse arounf Superdrug for a new pastel nail polish colour when I stumbled across the MUA stand.
I saw the price tag and the name and was sold - Pistachio Ice Cream Nail Polish for just£1 , my sort of price!
Now for the price I wasn't looking for something incredible and I knew it wasn't going to be the greatest nail polish ever made, I just wanted a nice shade which is easy to apply and doesn't take to long to create an opaque colour. (not much to ask!)

The packaging I have noticed has been given alot of flak online - it's clearly similar to Essie's classic design. My opinion..... oh well! If I can get a cute nail polish for just £1 I don't really care who they've copied!
Now of course.. this isn't the greatest polish in the world but I love the colour - it is perfect for spring/summer - I am obsessing with pastels. (I know I'm not the only one!)

It doesn't give the greatest application, very streaky - although I'm not the greatest nail painter in the world (I'm very good at painting my fingers though...) and it does need a good few coats to get a good opaque look.
Overall for £1 you can't really go wrong - it's better than the Sinful colours polish I previously tried (another bargain brand!) ...and I think this is cheaper!

Have you tried MUA polishes before? I think I'm definitely going to purchase a few more colours!

Maybelline Colour Show Stripped Nudes Collection - 225 Bare It All

A new nail polish? It is indeed!
This is one of Colour Show polishes from Maybelline from the new "Stripped Nudes" collection. (I think they are new anyway?!)
I haven't seen much about these around so I'm not entirely sure when they came out, or if hey are even out yet? But I managed to get my hands on one nevertheless!
I'm such a fan of a nude nail polish - I think they always look so clean, effortless and sophisticated... not to mention amazing with a tan - which I will get once I able to see some sun!
This shade is number 225 - Bare it all and it is a lovely opaque classic nude. It has more of a beige undertone than a pink and I think it prefer it that way.

This polish reminds me slightly of Barry M's Gelly polish in Lychee - wish is another of my favs.
Obviously we all know I'm on a spending ban so alas that means no more getting my nails done. Major sad face from me as I love having my nails done, no fear of chipping or having to re-do them and let's face it - they look 1million times better than just my plain boring old nails.
BUT there are worse things - so painting my own nails and saving a few pennies for now is how it is going to have to be!
Just 2 coats and this stuff looks beautiful, a fantastic staple colour that everyone needs in their collection! My new favourite nude!
Nudes & pastels are still going to be very much in this year after what I have seen so far and this is going to be top of my polish favs!
I've used other colourstay polishes before and have loved them, they have such an amazing range of colours which are definitely worth a look!

Barry M Limited Edition Christmas Glitter Nail Polish

A quick post today boys and girls and it's all about a snazzy festive nail polish available at the moment for limited time only and how you can get it for free!
This is one of the Limited Edition Christmas nail polishes from Barry M which is exclusive to Boots
Both Boots & Superdrug have 2 glitter designs each which you can only get exclusively in their stores - cool right?
This is one of the Boots glitters - a fabulous silver based multi glitter. Fabulous for the Christmas period and glamming up your nails!
I recently bought a couple of things online (in-store ordering) from Barry M so I was super  excited when I got my order to see that I had received a little something extra for free!
You actually get this for FREE when you spend £6 or more on Barry M products - cool huh?
It's so easy to spend on Barry M and you can easily get 2 items for around the £6 mark - so 3 products for approx £6 bargain!

Barry M is probably most famous for it's nail products. They are always up there with my favourite polishes and I have actually lost count of how many I own!

This glitter is gorgeous and perfect for any girly girl who wants a bit of glitz in her life!
Whether you are doing a subtle thin layer or a thick few coats this stuff looks great AND you can even pair it over the top of other colours too! Reds, whites and silvers would be perfect for Christmas themed nails!
I am so pleased with this new member of my Barry M family and even more so the fact it was free!
There are so many deals out there at the moment on high street/'drug-store' make-up brands so keep your eyes peeled when you purchase and maybe you could get someone a Christmas present for free (or treat yourself even more!)

September Favourites

October is here so it would only be polite to bring you my September favourites!
Yes it's those monthly products and things that I have been loving and obsessing over for the last 4 weeks!
September was a really fun month, my family just got a puppy, I moved out, I went to the Bestival, I met up with my friends from Florida and went to London to explore... it has been a gooden!
Now it's October and probably going to be my busiest month this year so far, so keep an eye out for lots of posts coming your way soon....
There's beauty, there's skincare, there's haircare and of course a little something extra.... it wouldn't be a Kirstie favourites post without a random thing thrown in there!
We put so much pressure and strain on our feet day-in, day-out that I think it's so important to look after them and keep them looking pretty (as hard as that is for feet...ewww). There's nothing worse than toenails with no polish on, hard skin, dry skin..... a bit disgusting to talk abut but everyone gets it, especially after a summer of wearing sandals and flip flops 24/7.
This stuff is amazing for keeping my feet soft and thoroughly moisturised.  I love to give my feet a good pampering once a week or so, a long soak, a quick use of my 'Utterly fantastic foot buffer from Soap & Glory' and then smother this on before putting on some light cotton socks and taking myself off to bed to let it soak in overnight! The smell is so lovely and refreshing and totally wakes your feet up! In the morning my feet feel smooth, soft and smooth as a baby's bottom - fabulous!
I've always been so lucky with my skin, spots have always been a rare thing for me and I have always been so grateful for that. But over the last few weeks I have been getting a few friends on my face... and they haven't been the mot subtle of "friends", in fact, some have them have needed their on postcode!
So as always I've rushed out and bought my savior - the rapid action treatment cream from Clearasil. This always works so well on my skin and I mentioned it before in The Skincare Tag I did back in July! I just pop this on the certain area a couple of times a day and it really helps with the redness and swelling of the spot which luckily means they don't lsat long at all! I highly recommend this stuff if you want a quick and easy way to reduce your spot size and redness!
If you read my blog regularly of have been here recently you would have seen the post I did on this product. I have used this literally everyday since purchasing it.
It is a gorgeous highlighter and a fantastic dupe for Benefit's High Beam at just a fraction of the price.
As a base, mixed with your foundation of just used on certain parts of your face to complete the look this stuff, in my opinion, is amazing - here is my post from a couple of weeks ago where we you can read all about it and check out a swatch!
Again another product I have mentioned before. I had this in my "Beauty Buys Of The Week" in September and since then I have worn it a few times and have just been obsessed. It is shade 156 from Barry M and is one of their 'ultra moisturising lip paints'. Because it is now Autumn I have pushed myself to get out of my baby and bright pink bubble and venture out into using darker shades! This is a dark purple colour and I'm so glad I went out of my comfort zone and tried it as I really love it and definitely think I will be wearing it alot more over the next few months.
Nail polishes are something I buy every single month without fail, I don't know why but I'm always adding to my collection. So when I saw that my local Boots had released the Matte Barry M polishes I had to pick up this one.
I love black nail polish especially in Autumn and Winter and especially on my toes (looks great with peep toes). This is called Espresso and is just a plain matte black, something everyone needs in their collection I think and here else on the drug-store market can you get a good qulaity matte black polish? I can't wait to pick up the rest of the Matte collection but I have gel nails on the moment so it is little unnecessary buying all of them for now.
Even if you have been living under a rock you know that I love Lee Stafford.
I normally use the Hair Growth treatment once a week but over the last month I have been chopping and changing through all the fabulous products I got in my Huge Lee Stafford Haul
I have been using this Breaking Hair Treatment a couple of times a week along with the Breaking Hair shampoo and conditioner and have loved the effect it has had on my hair.
where I've started using clip-in extensions again this month I've wanted to make sure my hair is staying in a good condition.
This product leaves my hair soft, strong and shiny and not to mention the amazing smell, my hair feels so much better from using this over the last 4/5 weeks on and off, another product from Mr. Stafford that is working wonders!
I always tell myself to moisturise more but sometimes in the morning and before I go to bed I'm in to much of a rush/or too lazy to do it.
Queue Nivea's Express Hydration Primer, perfect for the morning and before I do my make-up. Not only is this stuff as hydrating as Nivea's moisturisers it really is a fantastic primer.
It looks thick and creamy in the jar but you only need a tiny bit to cover your face and it turns straight into a clear primer perfect for make-up application. I have used this nearly every day in September, it is fantastic. Not greasy, not thick and helps my make-up stay on so so well.
Another great product from Nivea.... they always seem to make their way into my monthly favourites .

Just a last quick thing - Ariana Grande's debut album. I have had this album on repeat since the day I got it on September 3rd. Yes, she has been in my favorites before back in July but I am still loving her and now I have a whole album to rave about!
It is called 'Yours truly' and has 13 tracks, including her singles The Way & Baby I.
She is amazing, the best voice in the charts at the moment without a shadow of a doubt.  There is a song for every mood on this album and I dare you not to like it! My favourite songs are Honeymoon Avenue and Piano! Go Ariana..... hurry up and come to the UK on tour please!
