Motivation Moodboard

Images sourced from Pinterest UK (minus the trainers... that's mine!)
When I was a child, cutting out pictures from magazines and printing things out to make moodboards and collages was always one of my favourite things to do.
Of course as an adult now it's not really as acceptable to have a fun wall of mix-match pictures covering your bedroom... especially when you live with your partner.

I still have a tendency to cut pictures out of magazines though.... yes I'm that girl.
I even have a small notebook that I have glued in styles, looks, tips and images that I love but because it takes up so much time it's not that often I get to sit down and do it....

So.... what better way to stay motivated and have something I can see all the time than to create it digitally.
Obsessed with moodboards and collages I find it SO enjoyable creating them on my laptop. (For a tutorial on how I do this please click here :)

Here is my Motivation Moodboard for the next few months...

Staying Focused
With my new job in full swing I really want to keep on throwing myself into it as much as I possibly can, I learning new stuff every single day and I love it! I'm so grateful that I got this opportunity to start in this industry and I want to do as well as I possibly can.

Eating Clean
Before Christmas my diet was amazing. All clean, healthy, natural foods and I hadn't felt that good about myself in years. 2016 so far has NOT gone well for me and I am SO disappointed in myself. Time to rewind to last year and remember how great I was feeling.

Image
Yes. Margot Robbie is my ultimate girl crush.
But, I shall not compare myself.... because I mean that never ends in happy thoughts! I LOVE her hair here and with my hair appointment just around the corner I think I'll be taking this photo with me!

Organisation
I'm becoming more and more organised as the weeks go on and I love it. Not only at work, I want my home to be tidy, organised and clutter free - it's so much better for me, mess = stress.

Saving For A Puppy?
It's no secret that being an owner of a French Bulldog is probably the number one thing on my bucket list. Fingers crossed we can move out of our flat over the next year or so and then I'm hoping it's then puppy time! So I want to start putting a little money away each month for the little nugget!

Worrying
I love this little image about only focusing on what you can control. I spend so much time worrying about things that really don't matter and won't change as much as I worry about them, time to just focus on the things that matter!

Writing
Like I said in my blog make-over post, I really want to focus on my content. I love writing and this year I want to stretch myself and head out of the normal 'beauty review, wishlist, favourites' types of posts! Plus.... I still really want to write that book, I'm determined to get that started this year, even it's just a page a week.

Reading
First up how gorgeous is that image?! I've already talked about this (here) but reading has now taken the place of my nightly social media addiction. Every weeknight I've been putting my phone down earlier then normal and had a nice little reading session before bedtime. It's so relaxing and my love for Harry Potter has well and truly increased by a million percent!

Running
Yes. I must start again.

5 Things I Love To Do When It's Raining

Well.... August hasn't really turned into the hot and sunny month we are (kind of) used to has it?
As I sit here writing this I'm looking out the window to a seriously grey and soggy looking England - booooo!
When I have a day off work and it's raining I'm not going to lie.... I kind of love it
It's always a fab excuse to have some 'me' time and chill out by doing some of my favourite things - yes call me lazy if you want too but sometimes you just need to have a good relaxation session!
1. Become best friends with my TV
TV show marathons, favourite movies or just catching up - there's nothing more relaxing for me than being in comfortable clothing (aka pjs and a huge sweater), with a blanket on my sofa with a nice cup of tea watching some good old TV!
My favourite shows at the moment have to be : Total Divas, Devious Maids, Little Women NY, Dance Moms, Catfish & UnReal! And my favourite movies to watch on a rainy day are : The Help, Love Rosie, Just Go With It, Harry Potter & Beauty & The Beast.
2. Read, read, read.
Whether it's book, magazines or blogs, something else I love to do is relax, listening to the rain hitting the windows and delve into something good to read!
I'm currently reading Holly Madison's biography (which is bloody brilliant!) and my favourite mags are Glamour, Cosmo & heat!

3. Online (window) Shopping

Guilty!!! I'm a sucker for grabbing my phone/ipad/laptop having a browse online, making a shopping list/wishlist if it's before payday or having a spend up if it's after!
My go-to website for clothing is ASOS. The ASOS sale literally rules my life - I think I look through it daily..... but it's just so so good!
CURRENT WISHLIST ...

4. Organise & Declutter My Life

When it's raining outside and the thought of venturing out is just a resounding NO then I find I'm so easily motivated to organise my life! Everything from clothing to my make-up storage, there's something so satisfying about clearing things out and giving things a make-over! I love a good wardrobe clearout and I'm currently adding lots and lots to my eBay! Goodbye clutter hello pennies!

5. Have A Girly Pamper

YES! You girls must all agree with me! If you aren't planning on heading out at all for the day then what's better than getting out your favourite treatments and treats to give yourself a full on overhaul. Facemasks, hair masks, shaving, fake tanning, pedicures, nail painting - the works! Being a girl is THE best!

What are your favourite things to do when the weather is horrendous?

The Perfect Notebook : Chroma Stationary

So whilst doing my usual internet browsing, blog reading and instagram stalking I stumbled across a brand which I fell completely and utterly in love with.
Being a blogger, writing down things is an everyday occurrence. I am constantly jotting down to-do lists and ideas for both my blog and my everyday life!
I think all bloggers/bloggers can relate to this!
I'm all about owning cute stationary and notebooks and I feel like with Chroma Stationary I've found a brand I can use over and over again!

That's right, this brand is everything I have been looking for, a place to get a totally personalised but still gorgeously pretty notebook!
You can pick the type of notebook, the colour of the notebook, either blank or lined pages PLUS you can have whatever you like embossed onto the front!

I had seen some gorgeous examples from other bloggers and was so super excited to be able to design my very own!

Because my blog logo is so light and doesn't have a lot of bold writing it was too difficult to get in embossed so I was left with a desicion which took me a long, long while..... What on earth do I want written on this thing!?!

I spent a lot of time umming and arring over it (this was a tough choice for me I'm not going to lie..... #firstworldproblems) but i finally decided to go with a quote/lyrics from one of my favourite songs ever - Defying Gravity.
I think most of you know I'm a HUGE Wicked fan and I love this song and the meaning behind these words!
Chroma Stationary Bound Notebook*

So this is the finished product - and I LOVE it, I did a little squeal of excitement when I opened it!
This is the bound notebook in the shade 'Elizabeth' with blank pages and gold embossing.

I didn't choose the font or placing of the writing but I think it is perfect!
The notebook is slim and compact so it is perfect for popping into my everyday handbag which is great as it means I have have it wherever I go!
I'm also thinking I might do some cute mood board type pages in there too - magazine clippings and a prit-stick is always fun - I love unleashing my creative side!
I can see me ordering more and more of these - I have so many great embossing ideas, and they would make gorgeous personalised presents for friends and family!

Thanks again to the lovely Gabi from Chroma Stationary who was fabulous from the very beginning of the process - I am overjoyed with the finished product!!

Check our Chroma Stationary and get your own notebook - here
