For Christmas this year (last year?.... 2015! You know what I mean) I was lucky enough to be given 2 Thierry Mugler perfumes that I had been wanting forever - Angel & Alien. My mum has been wearing Angel pretty much since it came out and I've always been such a fan (stealing sprays when I can.... hahs sorry Mum!) Until now I've just had the Glade Honey & Chocolate candles at home constantly, they have such a similar scent - warm and sweet they make everything smell amazing. Angel has now become my everyday perfume. The sweet smell of vanilla, chocolate, honey and patchouli is strong but not overpowering and with just one or two spritz' the scent stays on all day. Normally with perfumes after a couple of hours I find even if others can still smell the fragrance on me I can't smell it on myself anymore but with Angel I can smell it all day which I love. I only got a 15ml bottle for Christmas - which sounds tiny but I was surprised by how big it was - I was picturing a little tester size! I've used it everyday so far and it looks like I've basically used none - I can tell it's going to last for months and as soon as it runs out I won't might picking up another. If you haven't smelt Angel before I highly recommend you go grab a tester soon - it's not to everyone's taste but if you like warm, sweet scents (or chocolate) you might just find yourself a new favourite.

Being a reality TV show whore I cannot believe I haven't started watching this sooner - I am obsessed. Like crazy obsessed! This show is awesome - I am currently watching season 1 and season 4 at the same time and I'm sure it won't be long until I'm totally caught up! I LOVE the Bella Twins - girl crush overload!
Holly Madison - Down The Rabbit Hole
I've mentioned this a few times over the last few weeks. I was a huge fan of Girls Next Door and a big fan of Holly - I met her in Vegas and she was lovely! As soon as this book was announced I was counting down the days until I could get my mitts on it! It is soooo interesting, you really do see the other side of Playboy and the famous mansion! I haven't finished it yet, purely because I don't want it to end so I'm making it last for a little while longer! If you want to know all the inside goss I suggest you go grab this while you can! Ooooo something else I've done a review on recently! I have used this every single day since buying it - it is brilliant for my short stumpy lashes and used alongside my eyelash curlers this really does help to make a big difference! (full review here)
Touch Of Silver Hairspray
After trying out some new do's recently (like here) I've been using alot more hairspray than usual! I want to start wearing my hiar up more so that it grows faster - last time I grew my hair avoiding heat was the best way! This hairspray is amazing! It feels so light and smells amazing (a little like Aussie) - everything I try from this brand is just perfect for my hair!

I have become a total lover of podcasts and Ru Paul's What's The Tee? has been making my journeys to and from work a whole lot better! Not only do Ru and Michelle make me full on LOL whilst walking down the road but they have such much wise life advice that I love taking in!

Simple Illuminating Radiance Cream
I've been using this stuff for the past couple of weeks instead of a primer and I have been loving my skin! It works just as well as a primer and leaves me with a lovely - non-shiny/greasy glow! IT's still half price at Boots at the moment - try it out girls you won't be disappointed!
New Look Platform Sandals
Did someone say new shoes? You may have spotted these in my OOTD for the Southampton Bloggers meet up on my Instagram (here) - they were literally the most comfy shoes and even though I felt a little tall compared to some of the girls in flats I loved how they looked with my skirt and top combo... and the best thing?! It's not everyday I receive a surprise parcel in the post but I was lucky enough to return home from work last week to an exciting box on my doorstep with my name on it. The lovely people at The Perfume Shop had wrapped up the yummy new scent from Estee Lauder - Modern Muse Le Rouge for me and I couldn't have been more pleased. Now.... I'm a big Kardashian/Jenner fan and knowing Kendall Jenner is the face of this new perfume did make me like it a little more.... don't judge me - I want to smell like a supermodel too haha! I've never owned an Estee Lauder perfume so I was so pleased to finally have one to add to my fragrance collection. The bottle is a gorgeous simple design with the cute bow lid which I LOVE, look how pretty it is! The scent itself is very sophisticated. I really wanted to share this on here as I really really do love it but sharing a perfume via a blog post is sometimes a little difficult (for me) so I've grabbed a little snippet from the website to give you all a good idea of what I'm chatting about... "A sexy, provocative contrast of two distinctively different accords-rich roses awakened by ripe fruit, with a seductive velvet creme accord-provide an intriguing dual impression. It's a true innovation in fragrance design, as complex and fascinating as the woman who inspires it." With strong notes of raspberry, rose and saffron this fruity and floral fragrance has gone straight to the top of my most worn! (Although not for work.... that's a waste!) I wore this recently on a night out and it lasted for hours and hours, it has the glam factor about it which means it is fab for both daytime and evening wearing! It's also not something that I feel is 'too young or too old' - so ti seems like a great scent for anyone of any age! With it's slight spice this is going to be perfect for the Autumn season too which makes me really happy - hello new signature scent!

You may remember a few weeks ago it was National Perfume Day and I was chatting all about perfumes and how what I love most about them is the memories that different scents can hold. Memory is something we probably all take for granted... thoughts of our childhood, high school silliness, our first loves, the amazing holidays we've been on but what if one day all that is gone and the memories we once had are no longer there.
Did you know dementia is the leading cause of death for women in the UK? No? Nor did I! And did you know that one of the earliest signs can be the loss of smell? Out of the 850,000 people with dementia in this country 500,000 of them are women and after the age of 65 the risk of getting dementia doubles ever 5 years. So it's very likely that in some shape or form this debilitating condition will affect your life at some stage. Last year The Perfume Shop partnered up with Alzheimer's Research UK and created 'Memories Matter', a campaign to help raise awareness of the strong link between scent and memory and since then they have managed to raise a whopping £17,000. From that money raised TPS have managed to help support pioneering female researchers in finding preventions, treatments and ultimately a cure for those affected by dementia. Dementia is a syndrome which has many, many symptoms including memory loss, mental agility, language, thinking speed, judgement and understanding. Whilst not all sufferers are elderly, age is the most significant contributing factor to dementia.
So.... how can you help? There are a number of ways...
Firstly, The Perfume Shop are running fundraising initiatives in store through £1 gift wrapping. Yes guys, today marks the first ever national day dedicated to celebrating our love for scents! I had no idea this even existed until the lovely people at The Perfume Shop informed me earlier this week, which got me thinking.... Perfume is something which we all (most probably) use on a daily basis. We all have our everyday scents, our signature scent, our "going out" scents, the favourites that we save for those special occassions and of course the bottles that bring back the best memories with just one spritz. That's what I'm going to be talking about today. It's crazy how just the smell of something can flood our brain with memories and images of a previous time, place or feeling. There are so many perfumes out there that remind me of a particular time or experience in my life and just a whiff of them has me reminiscing about the good (or bad) times. Calvin Klein Escape makes me think of travelling with my best friend, Hugo Boss Deep Red reminds me of being a teenager, D&G Light Blue takes me back to 2007 and meeting my boyfriend and Britney Spears' Midnight Fantasy just gets me thinking of Christmas time! It's crazy how all those memories in my mind can be accessed by just a scent.
But the perfume with the happiest memory for me is Vera Wang Princess. I bought this last year at Gatwick airport whilst on my way to Florida, for my first holiday with my boyfriend. (even though we've been together 8 long years!) Scents have always held memories so strong for me so I knew buying a new perfume for a holiday was a great way to keep those particular special memories of the trip even closer to me. Of course it worked and now everytime I smell or wear Princess visions of Disneyworld, Universal Studios and amazing memories with my boyfriend pop up in my mind creating a huge smile on my face. This is the power of fragrance - it really can hold the key to so many memories! I love spraying this scent as I know it will take me straight back to my Disney hotel and our adventures throughout Orlando! Do you have any perfumes that bring back amazing memories? Obviously I was super excited to delve straight into this! I am a big perfume person and I am always on the look out for more. I'm not one of these people that has a signature scent - as much as I wish I was! I'm always chopping and changing to my mood and the occasion, but there's nothing wrong with that!

Well the boyf was impressed with this one!
