MY TOP XMAS PICKS 2016

Holy moly.... it is nearly here!
But don't fret, if you're anything like me and haven't finished your festive shopping just yet I'm here today with a great collection of bits and bobs that will have the loves in your life smiling from ear to ear. (or something to treat yourself too.... either or!)
It's not too late to get ordering after all...
First up - how bloomin' beautiful is this Magnitone brush*. Yes I'm sure you have all heard of these wonder facial brushes before.... but how about a Rose Quartz one?
This brush is part of the Limited Edition Magnitone Precious Collection. The perfect gadget gift for that special female in your life!
These Daily Cleansing Brushes are all about getting naturally radiant, beautifully conditioned skin -  they effectively eliminates excess oils, dead skin cells, pesky makeup and impurities from pores all whilst toning and improving the absorption of your favourite skincare products #winning!
100% waterproof this little facial gem is designed for use in the bath and shower - making life even easier for us lazy skin routine avoiders!
Energising the skin and boosting micro-circulation this device is literally like a mini personal trainer for your face - I cannot recommed it enough.
Plus this version is now only £60 AND comes with it's own USB charger and travel pouch - perfect for a girl on the go!

All hail the ghds and this perfect platinum limited edition copper luxe* pair (£155)!
Paired alongside 2 fantastically festive Nails Inc polishes in a gorgeous carry case (see here) this set is more than enough to impess that beauty babe, hair lover in your life! I have had my boring black ghd's for 13 years now and I am SO thrilled to have a pretty new pair to brighten up my beauty stash, and locks! Keep your eyes on my blog to see more on these before the end of the year!
Tropic Skincare are a new brand to me - I've been trying lots of their bits and bobs out over the last few weeks and I have been enjoying everything from make-up sponges to shower washes! This however is not something to put on my face or body... obviously - this is Tropic Skincare's first ever candle - SIGNATURE* (£40).
This candle is made with 100% nautral soy wax and is inspired by the brands signature scents. The smell to me is so relaxing but also zesty and uplifting - it's the sort of product I can be imagine to be burnt whilst enjoying a nice refreshing facial.
Definitely one to be burnt whilst I'm working at home I'm sure this will help with getting my mind in the right place! #ConcentrateKirstie!
Nutella and a spoon ... need I say more? I feel in love with this as soon as I saw it! From present expert IJustLoveIt this engraved vintage tea spoon* (£13.99) is the perfect gift for the hazelnut spread lover, aka all of us! If you haven't gone to a jar of Nutella with a spoon yet.... have you even lived?
Another gorgeous pick from IJustLoveIt - this fantastic personalised Christmas bauble (£12.99) ! Presented in it's own golden tin these baubles are such a great idea for the family - each having their own name and year ready to pop on the tree as a tradition ever single year! Parent yourself - these are a great idea for children - giving them their very own spot on the tree from birth!
It wouldn't be Christmas without a Soap & Glory set. S&G knock it out of the park each and every year with their fun packaging and amazing play on words with each product!
The Pink Pamper* (£18) is a big, beautiful bag is crammed with six super-indulgent mini products from the brand as well as a super handy body polisher (also knows as a poof in my house!).
With everything from face wash to heel cream these 'irresistibubble pamperstuffs' provide you quite literally, with top-to-toe indulgence.
Check out the whole soap and glory Christmas range - here.
Crimped/waved hair is on trend as much as it was in 1999 and there's now no need for overnight french plaits with Toni and Guy's Style Fix Waver*!
From the Style Fix Stylers range this handbag sized professional styling tool is perfect to get you hair ready whenever and wherever.
Designed to protect your hair & colour with the Ceramic Tourmaline plates, its unique Colour Lock Technology is developed to enhance shine, smooth hair follicles and lock in colour as you style.
This mini waver creates beachy, laid back waves,  volume and style for hair that needs a bit of oomph and with a high temp of 210C - they take no time at all!

Last but not least the perfect home gift, again from ijustloveit.co.uk
This white distressed wall light* is bloomin' gorgeous - at only £14.99 each too these are the perfect product to really put a statement up in your home. Whether it be initials or even a word these battery powered subtle lights really do create a funny but chic look!

Not photographed....but - I am obsessed with my velvet sock boots from boohoo! I've only had them a week and I cannot stop wearing them - so comfy and such great quality - keep your eyes peeled for deals (as boohoo cannot get enough of them) before Christmas to grab a gorgeous fashion pick for yourself or maybe someone else!

Well there we go - some of my top picks for Xmas this year!

Kirstie's 2014 Favourites

Happy New Year one and all! I hope you all had a lovely time what ever you did to ring the new year in!
It's 2015 and I am seriously looking forward to the next 12 months aren't you?
Looking back over the last year I definitely tried out my fair share of products! (alot of them at that!)
Hair, skin, make-up.... the list is pretty much endless and with them there has been some obvious stand outs that have been used over and over again and in some cases even repurchased!
So instead of doing a December favourites I thought I would give you my 2014 favourites - with a few added non-beauty related things too!
 Vera Wang Princess Perfume
I bought this when I was on my way to Florida, I've wanted it for so long and decided to treat myself! I love it and now the scent reminds me of Disneyworld - amazing right?
Maxfactor Masterpiece Max Mascara
This year I have fallen totally back in love with this mascara! It is hands down my favourite mascara ever!
MAC Rebel Lipstick
Probably my most worn lipstick this year! I love this shade so much!
Seventeen Phwoarr Paint Concealer
The best concealer everrrrrr. This keeps my bags at bay, I have literally been through about 6 already!
thebalm Bahama Mama Bronzer
You may have seen my review on this a few weeks ago! This has become my everyday bronzer to contour with, it is a matte beauty!
Wicked
Most of you probably know already I am obsessed with Wicked, and this year me and my mummy finally got to see it after years and years of waiting! IT was everything I dreamt of and more - totally incredible, I porbably listen to the soundtrack everyday!
Folli Follie Rose Gold Watch
This was sent to me back in the summer and I have literally worn it every single day since! I honestly think I would be lost without a watch now.
Taylor Swift - 1989
My girl bought out her new album and as per it is totally and utterly perfect! I cannot fault Taylor or 1989 AND I am going to see her again in June, I am SOOOO excited I could cry!
Neal & Wolf Elevate Voluminsing Lotion & Guard Heat Protect Spray
This brand is definitely one of the best finds of the year! The two products I have from them have become firm favs and I cannot wait to try out more of the range this year!
Aveeno Skin Relief Lotion
I first bought this as I had seen a review by another blogger saying how well it had worked for them, and you know... if a blogger likes it - I want it! This is worked so so well on my dry skin, especially the bad patches I get on my shins, I wouldn't use anything else on it now!

Okay, I know it's only October BUT you can never be too early when it comes to Christmas shopping! I've decided to start buying things for loved ones already this year - mainly so I actually have some money left when it come to December and new year!
Boots is a great place to get your Christmas gifts and I've seen so many of you chatting away on twitter about getting the gift guide that's been recently released!
I always love hunting through their Christmas 3 for 2 mix and match pressies and probably buy more for myself than anyone else - opps!

So I thought what better on the lead up to the most wonderful time of the year than a few gift guides to help you on your quests to find the perfect gift for those special people in your life (or those ones you got stuck with in your work's secret santa!).
First up..... £5 and under gifts! (These are going to be mainly girly products but I will try and get a mens gift guide up aswell :)
Sweet pea is one of my favourite scents when it comes to products and candles and this little stokcing filler is great for anyone! Who doesn't love a lovely smelling home?

Jack Wills Emery Boards - £5
Jack Wills is a brand that's been in my life for  a good few years, living on an island which is surrounded by boats and the 'yauchty' brand is pretty popular here! These nail files are super cute and handy, good for any manicure lover.

My Wayfair Homeware Wishlist & WIN a £150 Gift Card

Since moving out (and even before then really) I have become obsessed with homeware and home accessories. Even if I don't buy loads you'll catch me staring at them and internet window hopping a hell of a lot!

An online company introduced to me recently is Wayfair. "A zillion things home" is their tagline and I have to say they do not dissapoint, there really seems to be a zillion things!!
So many products, so many designs there is 100% something for everyone, no matter what decor you desire or have!
I have spent hours looking through this site, honestly I think it's time I re-thought my non-exsitent career and went into interior design - it would be so fun!
I've pulled a few of my favourite picks from the site and made a snazzy little wishlist for you all! Look how cute their stuff is!
Keep reading to find out how to win an amazing £150 giftcard to spend yourself at Wayfair UK!

After over a year of living together my boyfriend & I still have the crappy doormat which came with our flat! Everytime I come home nd stare at it and think ewww boring! Now this is cool - I love it!
This chair would look so cute in my bedroom, the perfect chair to cosy up on with a good book, a blanket and a cup of tea this winter! I love the green accents, would love a matching duvet set too!
Gingham Doorstop
This just reminded me of Dorothy from the Wizard Of Oz and as you all know it is one of my favourite movies ever, tote fits in with my blog theme aswell so couldn't leave it out! I seriously need more doorstops in my flat I'm fed up of keeping things open with random items!
Fresh Linen Candle
I'm a candle addict, I hate horrible smells I swear my nose is so sensitive so I love having candle and diffusers to keep everything smelling nice! Fresh Linen sounds lovely, like clean sheets on the bed - one of my favourite things!
Matilda Cushion
I just found this so so cute! If like me you were brought up around the genius work of Rohld Dahl like me you will appricate this! There's not just Matilda either there's a whole range of the cushions! These would look so cute in a child's (or my) bedroom!
Altruna Dressing Table
So the inner blogger came out in my when I saw this! With a big mirror places on top an all the storage space either side, this would be the perfect make-up application dresser! I love the one I have at the moment but there just isn't enough room for all my stuff - I need to look at upgrading to something larger!
Sophie Heart Mirror
You can't have a home without mirrors! (and no I'm not vain!) I love this simple wooden heart mirror, so pretty for any room!
Wooden Photo Filing Box
This is a lovely idea, my photos are all shoved n boxes somewhere, this is such a cute box and a great way of organising! You could have each section as a different year or maybe a different holiday of event! I love organisational things like this, I'd happily spend hours sorting through photos and memories!
Heart Bookcase Ends
I'm a big book lover and even though I have a kindle now so tend to get them on there for convenience I still have so so many books cluttering up my life. (Although there's noway I'll be getting rid of any!) I love the way they look and these book ends would really complete a book shelf!

(I'm so sorry for the weird spacing with this post.... I've tried everything and it just won't go right :( )

And now your chance to win win win! Wayfair have been kind enough to give me a £150 giftcard to give away to one of you lovely dedicated A Yellow Brick Blog babies! This is open to the UK and Ireland only and the winner must be able to provide their name, email address and postal address upon winning.
