My Autumn TV Picks

Autumn is probably the greatest time of year for TV. New pilots are launched, seasons return... and we generally want to stay in and cuddle up more because it's raining once again and a bit bloomin' chilly!

My Sunday Favourites

Sunday. My favourite day of the week.

Mainly because I'm not at work, I hardly ever make any plans and I can get caught up on everything I want too.

Yes, I love staying at home, relaxing, organising my life and having a bit of 'me' time - so cliche I know but who doesn't love that?
Seeing as today is that day I thought I would share you you a few of my favourite Sunday things.
Cosy Clothes (aka looking like a slob)
Pyjamas, jogging bottoms, sweaters - I'm all about being comfortable and cosy.
7 NO BRAS TODAY THANK YOU, NO SIR, NOWAY.

Being Make-Up Free (goodbye visible eyelashes and brows)
There's thing better than letting your skin breathe. It is very rare that I will ever bother to put make-up on on a Sunday, I love being able to keep my skin a break and pamper it a little for a day. (Plus I can rub my eyes and scratch my eye brows if needed - what a treat!)

Face Masks (my weekly Halloween costume)
This goes hand in hand with the no slap thing. I love popping on a face mask on my day off. Give my skin that all needed bit of extra and my total favourite at the moment is the Montagne Jeunesse Hot Spring Sauna - I can't even tell you how many of these I've been through, and they are only £1 each - can't complain with that.

Kirstie's TV Takeover (The remote is MINE)
Yes. I love a good TV session on a Sunday, whether it's catching up ona ll that stuff I've recorded, Netflix or a few good movie's I love being on my sofa and chilling - you may think this is totally sad for a 25 year old but it relaxes me, yup I'm a loser..... (This can be a bit of a fight with the boyfriend though.... he's not a Kardashian/X Factor or Amy Schumer fan really....)

Blogging Marathon (duh)
All those do-to lists and notes I've created throughout the week normally get done about now. Blog posts writing, photo taking, replying to e-mails - the lot.
I mean I'm sat down cosy on my sofa cracking on with these next few posts (whilst catching up with the X Factor) right now! I love having my little blog baby to look after and I enjoy the escape of writing and creating so much - beats a week at work anyday.

Clean Sheets
There is NOTHING better then going to bed on a Sunday with fresh clean sheets, the greatest way to start a new week.

 Tea (chain-drinking the stuff...)
I drink so much tea when I'm at home. Wearing comfortable clothes, sitting on my sofa and either blog writing or watching my favourite films.... it's just never the same without that cup of tea next to me! My favourite tea is green tea, I could drink it all day everyday. I've been loving these Pukka Supreme Macha Green teabags lately I grabbed them while they were on offer at Tesco - bargain.

OOTD : All Black Everthing \\ Belted Batwing Coat

Jeans :  New Look
Boots : New Look
Long Sleeve Top : ASOS

Anything with fur detailing is so up my street right now! Autumn/Winter is my favourite time for fashion, I love the dark colours (I wear way too much black), the layering and the different textures found all over the high street & online.

This coat has jumped straight to my go-to section of my wardrobe! I love the batwing look and the way it dresses up an otherwise plain and simple outfit.
I can't wait to get a nice oversized scarf to wear with it now it's getting colder!

I'm not sure I'm ever going to get the hang of the fashion blogging malarky, others seem to rock things so naturally... but I'll keep on trying as I do find it so much fun!

My Top 6 Autumn TV Picks

It's officially Autumn/Fall which in TV terms means new seasons and cheeky new pilots
As a huge TV buff so I'm always looking for a new show to start or am sat patiently waiting for the next season of my favourite show to come back - this year is no exception.
As I know, a lot of you girls and boys are huge TV lovers like myself so I thought what better than sharing my top TV picks for this season.
Scream Queens *NEW*
I had been waiting for this show for MONTHS. The cast and promo photos had me sold before I even knew the plot.
I'm a huge Ryan Murphy fan (Glee, AHS) and knew with the likes of Emma Roberts and Ariana Grande being cast this would be a total hit.
After watching the 2 hour premiere and episode 3 I am HOOKED - it's funny, bitchy, gory... the script is just genius, I can't wait to see what happens.
How To Get Away With Murder Season 2
Oh my goodness, I had nearly forgotten about this little gem, it has been so long since season 1!
Holy macaroni, the twists and turns this show takes are insane - I'm pretty good and guessing a storyline but this has had me shouting 'What?!' 'Noway?!' and the screen more than once already then season.... and there's only been two episodes! If you haven't seen this masterpiece yet then I suggest you go ahead an start it - Viola Davis just won an Emmy for her performance don't ya know!
Modern Family Season 7
Well this is a no-brainer. Modern Family is THE funniest show on TV. Every single episode has me laughing out loud, I can watch them all over and over again! every new season just makes me so happy! (Favourite characters have to be Cam & Phil!)
Dash Dolls *NEW*
Yes it's a Kardashian spin-off.
I'm sure half of you are thinking 'Yes!' and the other half of you are just sat rolling your eyes. I am a total sucker for anything like this, so course it's gone straight on series record! Loving all the girls so far - it looks like it's going to be a fun season!  (p.s. can I have their hair and wardrobes please?)
Once Upon A Time Season 5
SPOILERS written ahead! Don't read if you aren't upto date!
Oh lala!  Disney and fairytale fans rejoice - Once Upon A Time is back and this season Emma has gone baddddd!
Yes the savior is now the dark one and this season is going to be totally different to anything we've seen before, I'm really looking forward to seeing a different acting style from Jennifer Morrison.
If you haven't seen this show before then it's all on Netflix and they upload new episoes weekly straight after they've been aired in the US!
American Horror Story : Hotel (Season 5)
Last but not least..... something we have all been waiting for! Season 5 of American Horror Story, the only show that hasn't quite started yet.
Hotel. Lady Gaga. It's happening.
I'm praying this turns AHS around for me - I'll hold my hands up and admit I wasn't a big fan of Freakshow, for me Aslyum and Murder House have to be the best seasons.
Once again an awesome cast lined up and I'm sure some fantastic writing! Bring it on.

What shows are you looking forward to this upcoming season? Will you be watching these with me?

My Winter Essentials : Lip Favourites

More Winter essentials for you lovely girls and boys today! Lip colours are my weakness... I actually think I have an addiction and through the hundreds that I probably own I've picked out a few of my total and utter favourites for these darker, colder months!
I never used to wear darker shades, I actually used to be super terrified of them, I was a wimp and thought they looked horrific on me but now I LOVE them! Plums, reds - they are da bomb !
I've picked a mix of different lip products as my favourites as I do wear a variety! Lipsticks, lipbalms, lipglosses I flick between them all depending on the occasion and my mood!
Left to right :
Mac - Heroine
Revlon Coloururst - Lollipop
Rimmel Apocalips - Eclipse
Rimmel Kate Moss - 107
L'oreal Colour Riche - Blake's Pure Red

Heroine is a colour I've wanted for so so long, I know it has been around for ages but I only actually just managed to pick it up about a month ago! I got it in the Orlando airport when I was flying home at the end of September (hello airport prices!) This is the brightest of the shades I've picked out - as you can;t always been dark and moody! I LOVE this purple colour, it looks amazing on the lips and the matte finish helps it stay on for ages!
Lollipop is one of the Colourburst lip butters from Revlon and I have used this for what seems like years! It's the sheerest of the shades I've picked out and is perfect for my everyday look, I love the formula of these lip butters, the nicest ones on the highstreet in my opinion.
Eclipse is one of the Apocalips from Rimmel. If you have read my blog for a while you will know how crazy I went for these when they came out and I still use them all the time! They are a great mix between a lipgloss and a lipstick! A gorgeous opaque colour with a lovely shine and great lasting time - these come in so many colours and now they have matte versions out.... which I need in my life!
107 - I think everyone owns this beauty! The Kate Moss range from Rimmel are one of the best out there and this colour is one I would recommend to everyone!
Last but not least it is the newest of the lot - Blake's Pure Red from the new Pure Red Collection at L'oreal! You may have seen my post about this a few weeks ago (here) - I love this red and the whole collection actually - you can't go through winter without a red lippy can you!? The colour of Christmas!

What are your favourite lip colours for this time of year?

I also LOVE Rebel from Mac, Mystic from Sleek and the Little Mix Perrie lipstick from Collection!

Zoella Beauty : Blissful Mistful Body Mist & Let's Glow Candle

Who's Zoella? .... Um, excuse me? Have you not ventured onto the internet in the last 5 years? Zoe Sugg has got to be the most successful UK Beauty Vlogger & Blogger out there and I for one am a huge fan!
Being one of those Zoella fans meant that when her first beauty range Zoella Beauty went live I squealed a major excitement squeal ... had to check it out and order a few bits!
I mean just the pictures online had me sold with these beauties! Zoe has nailed the cute chic girly girl packaging throughout her whole range and the pricing is on point for her well-known younger teen audience too.

The products are totally affordable and won't break your piggy bank - however old you are!
I ordered these bits from Feel Unique but you can also get them from Superdrug online and in selected stores. (Not my local one though obviously as my home town is 78 years behind the rest of the UK!)

I decided to start off by just ordering a couple of items from the range and these were the two that caught my eye the most... although I do love the look of that make-up bag with Zoe's eyes on!

Blissful Mistful is a 45ml fragranced body mist which comes in a lovely square glass bottle with the classic logo and pretty polka dots.
I bought this as something to have in my handbag to make sure I'm always smelling nice throughout the day but it seems to have turned into a little more than that!
The scent is light fairly sweet smell which actually really really reminds me of something I think it may be D&G light blue.
As well as using this on myself I have also been using it around the house - it's made everywhere smell lovely haha! The 45ml bottle is £8, I'm looking forward to seeing how long it lasts!

Next is the Let's Glow candle (I love all the name's of Zoe's products)! This candle is £5 and the cute packaging will help it fit into any chic home! When I first saw the candle I was a bit shocked at how small it was but I've burnt it a good few times now and it's still going so it wasn't a total rip off! I like the scent, it's a little synthetic but it's a nice floral homely smell especially for winter! I'm so crap at explaining scents but it is nice haha!

Have you tried anything from the Zoella Beauty range yet? What are your thoughts?

Beauty Haul - October 2014

Hh dear.... I've been let loose with the bank card again!
I always get the urge to splurge and this month I have succumb to that ever-so-present beauty blogger itch and treated myself to a few new bits and bobs!
Some of my favs re-purchased and some brand spanking new things I will no doubt fall in love with aswell and I thought why not let you girls and boys have a cheeky peek inside my shopping bags!
Sorry for the pretty pants photos - it is my mission of the next few months to really try and improve my blog's content and photography, hopefully you will be able to tell the difference soon!
First up the make-up.... those bits I expect you are all probably most interesed in! I'll start at the top and work my way along!

Nivea Fruity Shine Lipbalm in Watermelon
Nivea is easily one of my favourite bargain drugstore brands so when I spot a newbie enter their collection I have to get my hands on it! Lip balm's are a must for this time of year and although I already own about 42 million I couldn't help but be sold buy the words "new" and "watermelon" - this smells lovely and has a lovely pink tint to it aswell!

No7 Presicion Lips Pencil in Raspberry
It came to my attention that although I wear alot of fuchsia's and bright pink lip colours I don't have a lip liner that goes with them and with the classic £3 off voucher for No7 this seemed like the perfect bargain. It's a gorgeous pink which blends with some of my favourite lipsticks so well!

Rimmel's Eyebrow Pencil in Hazel
This is a must for me - use it daily and have probably gone through about 203 in my lifetime so far.

Seventeen Define & Conquer
A newbie from the high street, Seventeen have bought out a contour kit yippee! and although I'm totally happy with my one from Sleek I couldn't just walk past this and not pick it up! A gorgeous bronzer alongside a shimmering highlight, I know that I will get so much use out of this!

Boujouis' Healthy Mix Foundation -Vanilla
Another repurchase - this is one of my go-to everyday foundations, I'm near enough always wearing either this or L'oreal's True Match.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick - Ole Flamingo!
Seeing as Bourjois was on two for £14 I had to pick up something else (obviously) and I went for this little beauty! Having seen sooo many people posting selfies with a gorgeous lip colour and soooo many times seeing it is this shade I finally decided to grab it! It's a lovely matt pink which I know I'm going to be wearing alot over this next season.

Seventeen Phwaorr Paints - Medium
You've seen been rave about this countless times! The best concealer I've ever used I go through sooo many - I've even got my Mum using it now!

Seventeen Quicker Slicker Nail Polishes x 3
It was about time I purchased some new darker nail polishes! I recently did a huge clearout out of products and things and lots of nail polishes didn't make the cut so it was time to stock up on some newbies!

Natural Collection Lipglosses - Vanilla & Turkish Delight
I like having cheap lipglosses in my bag especially for work days, these smell amazing and were only £3.50 for 2!
Now a few skincare buys - which I definitely probably didn't need but you know what us girls are like...you can never have enough!

Nivea Soft Cream
I got through so much of this stuff! I use it every evening and swear by it!

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel
This was actually on clearance at only £5.50 so I grabbed it! It is for oily sensitive skin which is perfect for me at the moment as my skin as taken a greasy turn for the worse, I'm really looking forward to trying ti out as I have heard such great things about this brand!

Aveeno Skin Relief Lotion
This stuff has become a total life saver so it was time I stocked up on some more! This is amazing for dry/irritated skin I highly recommended it!

Boots Simply Sensitive Deep Cleansing Mask
The first of the face mask's now and one that I haven't tried before! I am obsessed with trying out new ones and this was so cheap I thought it it was worth a go! Something that will last more than one use aswell!

Montagne Jeunesse Face Masks
This will come as no surprise to you regular readers - I buy these like they are going out of fashion and as they were on 3 for 2 in Boots I grabbed a handful! I got 3 of the creamy coconut, 1 hot sauna, 1 hot chocolate and 1 nut oil! All have been reviewed on here before so if you want to read more then just search them in the search bar on the right!
Ultimate Blends The Sleek Restorer Shampoo & Conditioner
I've bought these before and loved them, this new collection from Garnier is doing so so well, I've seen everyone picking them up! I love the scent, coconut is the best for me when it comes to haircare! The Sleek Restorer really does work aswell making my hair smoother and frizz-free... for once!

Ultimate Blends The Sleek Perfector Oil
After seeing VelvetGhost's September favs video and watching her rave about this stuff I decided to give it a go myself! I have used it so much already and am LOVING it - I'm sure it will be mentioned again on here soon!

Boots Coconut & Almond Intensive Hair Mask
More coconut goodness! These are the best value for money hair mask's ever! £1.99 each or 2 for £2 on offer - I bought 4! I use this a couple of times a week and it leaves my hair so shiny and smelling great!

Moroccanoil Treatment Oil
Probably my favourite oil I've ever tried, it is a tad more expensive than others I have but I only use it after I've washed my hair so maybe 3 times a week!
Some random bits now!

Venus Pro Skin Sensitive Razor
BORINGGGG I bought a new razor coz' it was half price... nothing more to say haha!

Zoella Blissful Mistful
Yayyyy I finally got some Zoella Beauty bits! Keep your eyes peeled as these are going to have their very own post very soon!

Zoella Let's Glow Candle
I've nearly burned this whole thing already! It's so cute and smells lovely! Like I said above... a full review will be coming soon!

Oral B 3D White Replacement Heads
Well... we all need to brush our teeth don't we!

Cheryl Stormflower Perfume

I think most have us have been waiting for this day for years - the day the Cheryl Tweedy Cole Fernandez-Versini has her own perfume out on the shelves of the UK!
It was always going to happen, I mean, why wouldn't one of the popular females on this side of the planet have their own signature scent?!

Can I just say aswell, before I start, that I obsessed with each and every look that Cheryl has been whipping out weekly on the X Factor - how is she so perfect? I'm so looking forward to the upcoming live shows to see what she wears and what she does with her hair and make-up!
So, back to the perfume! First, lets talk about the name. Stormflower. I love it. The name is said to have been designed to reflect the smell of air after the storm.
I'm so glad Cheryl has thought about the name and not decided to call it "Cheryl" or something - I wouldn't have been impressed with that.

The fragrance comes in a gorgeous curvy bottle with fabulous flower lid! I love bottles like this, I have Vera Wang's Love Struck also and I just love how pretty they look sat on my shelves - rather than plain old square bottle. I think bottle's have alot to do with how much a fragrance is sold - if you're anything like me you want something that looks good aswell as it smelling good!
The size of the product I have here is 30ml, which is the smallest size available alongside a 50ml and 100ml. Looking at the amount I've used already though (in just a week) I'm not sure this little bottle will last me too long!

Now after saying that you can probably guess what I'm about to say about the scent - it's awesome.
Like most people I'm pretty pants an describing a scent (you'd never believe I work with perfumes - opps!) so I'm going to share with you a brief description of what the clever lot at Cheryl HQ have come up with .....

'...fruity notes of nectar and mandarin followed by a floral heart that is interwoven with the scent of peach blossom and freesia. The fragrance then closes with base notes of sandalwood and musk.'

The scent overall is light but bold and has a lovely refreshing quality to it. It's meant to be a scent that complete describes Cheryl's elegance and personal style and I think she's done a fantasic job.
Celebrity fragrances can be a bit hit or miss with me and I always get a little nervous I won't like them as much as I like the person but this is a total winner.
With no hint of teeny-bopper sweetness or any form of old granny smell this is totally modern, fresh and a perfect everyday scent for most ages!

I have worn this every single day since I got back from Florida and have had a great response from the boyf and even had a few people ask me what I'm wearing which is great... I think I shocked them when I stated proudly it was Cheryl's! It's really wearable and lasts for ages!
I love wearing it too work and I've also been wearing it when I've gone out in the evenings!
This is going to be on my Christmas list for sure, it won't be long until I'm rationing out the end of this bottle!
You can get the 30ml fragrance (as pictured) from Fragrance Direct for just £20.99 at the moment - that's a saving from the RRP price of £23.95!
With Christmas coming up (yes it really is, don't kid yourself that it's not) this is a must have for both Cheryl lovers and perfume addicts alike!

Have you smelt Stormflower yet? What do you think?

L'oreal Colour Riche Blake's Pure Red Lipstick

FINALLY! I've been waiting for new L'oreal lady Blake Lively to get her own lipstick! After the seriously popular nude's collection from the glamorous faces of L'oreal I knew it wasn't going to be long until they bought out some more!
This time it's all about the reds and I'm SO pleased Blake has been involved!
The new Pure Red's Collection is made up of 4 new shades from the likes of Blake, Eva, Julianne & Liya. (and I'm sure at some point I'll own them all but I thought I'd limit myself to just the one for now..... it's not like a need another red lipstick!)
I am a huge Blake Lively fan and I won't lie - my purchase of this was heavily influenced by the fact her name was plastered on the front of it!

Blake, Serena, S, that druggie girl in The Town ... whatever you want to call her - she is a total stunner, I have become total captivated with her transformation into one of the most stunning women to hit the red carpets recently.
The lipstick itself is only £6.99 - I'm not sure weather this is a prmotional price of whether the Colour Riche lipsticks have been reduced permantly - a middle price for a high street brand and I was more than happy to pay it.
I love the shape of the bullet, it is slightly different to most products out there with a smaller and more pointed nib which makes it super easy to apply neatly and precisely.
With Autumn more or less here I'm starting to prepare myself for less bright pinks and corals and more reds and deep purples!
This shade is gorgeous, bold and has incredible staying power! L'oreal's lip products are always impressive and I have to say this is definitely my go-to red for now.... I think I may just go and buy the rest of the collection!
