Botanics All Bright Refeshing Eye Roll-On Review

Bags, dark circles, puffiness.... something I'm constantly battling with.

I've been through alot of drugstore products in my time and I don't always think you need to spend a huge amount to get decent results and this is a perfect example.
I'm a big fan of the Botanics range from Boots and I think alot of it is super underrated!
This sqeeuezy 15ml tube is an easy roll-on product aimed at targeting eye puffiness and dark circles.
The tube has a metal rollerball feature which helps to distribute the lightweight gel formula and immediately cools the skin to give it a lovely refreshed feeling.
The hyaluronic acid helps to hydrate the dull and delicate skin and the hibiscus ingredient is a fantastic brightness booster.

I've had a few days off of work recently so while I have been at home not wearing any make-up I have been taking full advantage of this stuff. This stuff is so lightweight and really wakes me up when I pop it on underneath my eyes.
I've seriously noticed a difference with the puffiness under my eyes and have also seen the area brightened up, something I really needed with all the early mornings I seem to be having. (I'm such a baby when it comes to sleep!)

The All Bright Roll-On is usually priced at £8.99 but is currently half price in store and online, always look out for offers on the Botanics range, its not often that you have to pay full price!

I'm Loving... #25

Weetabix Crispy Minis Chocolate Chip
Oh dear. I'm kind of addicted to this cereal!
I have literally been having it every lunchtime - they are so yummy.... I definitely don't think I've been sticking to the recommended 30g portion either, opps.

Taylor Swift Taylor Perfume
I used to wear this perfume all the time but my bottle ran out months ago now. So I was so overwhelmed when I friend of mine treated me to a 100ml bottle that they had lying around. I've been wearing it daily for work - such a lovely fresh scent this is going to last for ages too!

Being Organised
As you may have noticed - when it comes to blogging I have done a totally 360 this past fortnight.
After a couple of months of being totally stuck and in a rut I feel like I'm in my blogging groove again and I have loved being so organised and on top of things lately.

Blueberries
I can't stop eating them. I just wish they weren't like £2 per punnet!

Scream the TV Series
I started watching this when it first came out earlier this year, but once my handy online source went down (naughty naughty) I kind of left it and thought maybe I'd watch it somewhere else one day. Well that day came as it's only gone and been put onto UK Netflix! I'm onto episode 7 I think and I'm loving it - I'm such a fan of the Scream series so it's cool to see a new take on it.

River Island Pom Pom Beanie
You may have spotted this on my Instagram last week - I bought this cute little beanie from ASOS and I LOVE it! I can't wait for cosy winter evenings when I can just chuck this on not have to worry about my birds nest hair!

Beauty & The Beast Nightie
Yes, it's so cute isn't it! I got this from New Look a couple of weeks ago and have been living it in each evening - I just wish I'd had it throughout the summer because right now it's a bit chilly to wear it on it's own!

Bold Lavender & Chamomile Washing Liquid
Haha - this is sad isn't it? But I just really like how it makes my washing smell AND it was on offer #winwin

Botanics All Bright Refreshing Eye Roll-On
I've been using this on days that I haven't been putting any make-up on and it has given my under eyes such a refreshed feeling. Bye bye bags and puffiness, I'm always so impressed with Botanics products.

Botanics Nail Strengthening Hand Cream Review

My nails have always been crap, total and utter crap at that! They are seriously weak and so brittle and they've been that way ever since I can remember!
Over the years I've tried different products but never stuck to anything permanently. For the past few years I have been getting my nails done professionally and having gel extensions put on which at the time I love and they look awesome but they do have a damaging affect on my poor little fingernails so I've been having a break from them to hopefully help my nails strengthen up a bit!

I'm pretty rubbish when it comes to nail hardeners and nail strengtheners as I always forgot to keep putting them on, whereas a hand cream, well I won't forget that!
Not impressed with the dirty packaging.... the risk of buying online eh!
I was just browsing the Boots website when I spotted this! A hand cream which doubles up as a nail strengthener, sounds perfect for me! I'm always applying hand cream and love having it in my bag 24/7 so what better than to kill two birds with one stone!

This has a lovely floral type scent which actually smells just like a product from Liz Earle but I can't quite pinpoint which one it is... maybe the hand wash. It's a strong scent but isn't too much that it's overpowering.

The cream is non-greasy and melts into the skin very quickly, which is perfect for me as it means I can re-apply it as many times as I want it throughout the say, even when at work.
The skin around my nails has improved drastically, alot less flaky and dry than normal and they look so much healthier too plus my hands feel hydrated and soft.
My nails themselves are feeling so much better! Less brittle, less flaky and actually starting to grow slightly. Obviously I think this is down to a mixture of things including not wearing any nail varnish (I know... shame on me right now!), this for me was a brilliant buy and I shall be re-purchasing this once I've run out!

Botanics Sisal And Bamboo Buffer Review

I feel like I've been having a constant battle with my skin recently, dry skin, red bumps on my arms, bingo wings..... okay bingo wings are really something I can get rid of with a product - but they are still a problem in my life!
Summertime is a time to keep your skin hydrated and healthy and I've been on a mission to get mine looking smoother and feeling softer!
I've used exfoliating gloves and scrubs for years but I thought it was time to give something new try this summer!
Queue this new little friend of mine the Botanics Sisal And Bamboo Buffer!

I've been using this mitt for the last couple of weeks 2 or 3 times a week.
It has two sides - the sisal exfoliator (which I use most) and a soft bamboo side.
With a bit of my shower gel added to the textured side I have been using this in circular motions over my whole body, focusing on my upper arms and legs!
After this I use my usual shower scrunchie and have a good old wash and then flip the mitt over and use it's soft bamboo side as a polisher! (That last step is probably once every 3/4 times or so... alot of the time I'm too lazy!)

This had made my skin feel alot smoother and feel alot healthier - goodbye dead skin cells! Things like this are perfect for summer, espesically if you're usinf fake tans and things - this is perfect for prepping and pampering!

Botanics are slowly becoming one of my favourite affordable brands, they do so so many products, I'm definitely going to start making my way through the different ranges!

Botanics Organic Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm Review

I told you there would be more Botanics reviews coming your way - and I wasn't lying!
I've delved into the world of cleansing balms this week after wanting to try one out for months!
I've seen so many blog posts on different cleansing balms and oils and as I'm currently trying to try more out in the way of skincare I thought this hot cloth cleansing balm from Botanics was a great place to start.
For years I've used Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish to remove my make-up and cleanse my face and up until recently it had become a bit of a safety blanket.
I wouldn't give anything else a go as I didn't think it would live up to my high standards, until a couple of months ago when I was running low on both c&p and funds ("help me, I'm poor") so decided to try out No7's version and loved it!

Anyway I've digressed a bit there..... this is a new type of product for me, I've never used such a thing as a cleansing balm.
To be honest when I opened it up I was a little surprised, for some reason I was expecting a cream or white sort of product but instead I was faced with a hard yellowy balm - why I didn't think it would be balm-like when it's called a balm, I will never know! (duh!)

This stuff smells amazing - it is 97% organic and I really think you can tell that in the scent. It does remind me slightly of Liz Earle products actually and I love it! Super soothing and calming which is definitely what you want at the end of a long, hard day!
Once you pop your hand into the product and apply some heat/movement it melts straight away giving you a fantastic cleanser.

Rubbing onto dry skin it stuff doesn't take long to lift all my make-up and with a quick swipe of the warm damp muslin cloth my face is clear and make-up free (such a good feeling..... along with the removal of my bra!)
The only problem I've had is it making my vision a little blurry after use, although it's probably my fault for putting too much around my eyes to remove the layers and layers of mascara I stupidly use!

This stuff is a Boots product so you can buy it in Boots and Boots only! It has taken the place of the hot cloth cleansers in my life for now and I am so happy I gave it a go!

Do you recommend any cleansers?

April Favourites

Favourites posts are probably some of my favourite's to write and definitely some of my favouite's to read!
I love sharing the products/things which are top of my list for the month!
As always most of my favourites this month are beauty related (duh) but of course there are a few other things sneaked in there!
L'oreal L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick - 401 Fuchsia Drama
This is a product I bought over a month ago now and I am still crazy in love with it! I have been using it both alone and pairing it with lipsticks too - I love it over the top of Mac's Girl About Town. These liquid lipsticks are fab, so pigmented, as soft as a lip balm and super glossy - perfect if you aren't a lipstick fan but want a bold look! (Full review & photos here)

Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon - Peach On The Beach
It wasn't long ago that this was featured on A Yellow Brick Blog (post here) but it has to go in my April favs! I've been wearing this ALOT since buying it a few weeks ago! Love love love, fab colour, fab product! Possibly the best lip crayon I've used so far.

L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Masque
You may have seen this in my Boots Haul this month and I have been saving to talk about it until now! After the first us I knew this was going to be in my monthly favourites! This stuff smells lovely and left my hair feeling so soft, smooth and healthy (although I haven't noticed any major change in the thickness yet!) I have been using this once a week and cannot rave on about it enough.... and I got it when it was half price so even better!

Botanics All Bright Purifying Face Scrub
A skincare favourite now. I bought this along with the matching face wash and they have had a firm place in my shower ever since.
The wash is something I use daily-every other day (I tend to alternate with others) in the mornings and the scrub is something I use probably once a week! It leaves my skin looking and feeling refreshed and they aren't expensive at all - I am very lucky with my skin so I don't feel like I have to splash out on anything too expensive, it is something I will definitely repurchase.

Yankee Candle - Black Coconut
I'm all about smells. Products - first thing I check out is the scent, perfumes - so much love for perfumes ..... smells are something I just notice alot.
So moving into my own flat I am always obsessed that it smells nice.
Queue an aray of yummy candles. I love candles and this one has been burning bright alot this month! I may have actually shown this in a favourites before or maybe in a haul but nethertheless - it's here again. A strong, coconut scent which really lasts - this is so yummy! And lets face it ... everyone loves a yankee candle!
American Horror Story
TV show now. AHS is something I have been wanting to watch for years an years but I have been too chicken to watch alone. Haha I know - what a wimp
So when the boyf agreed to start the first season with me on Netflix I was super excited! Since then we have watched season 1, season 2 and are now half way through season 3! This show is brilliant.... some of it a bit bloody weird but it is amazing! I love that each season is totally different but they keep the same cast! I have alot of love for Evan Peters right now!

Product Of The Week #7

Another week, another bargain product (or in this week's case 'products') that I have been loving!
A couple of newbies in my life that have been incorporated into my grueling daily/weekly beauty routine are this week's Product Of The Week.

Introducing Botanics All Bright Cleansing Foam Wash & All Bright Purifying Face Scrub.

A fab duo that have made themselves at home in my bath/shower and have been there every morning waiting for me!
"Hibiscus is nature's brightness booster." - and these two are full of it!
The soap-free foam wash is something I've been using every morning in the shower! This is great for waking up my skin and prepping it for all that slap I like to add to my face daily!
My skin feels detoxed and super cleansed after every wash and I'm starting to notice the brightening qualities aswell!
The scrub is something for once maybe twice a week - a great way to buff the skin and has kept it looking and feeling funky fresh! I love how smooth it leaves my face feeling and works so well with the matching wash to give a deep clean!

I've only used a few product from Botanics but I've been really impressed ... and they aren't that expensive either - especially with all the offers Boots always seem to have on!

Botanics Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask Review

Face masks. A nice treat, a pampering session or a weekly ritual - these things are great at making us feel fabulous again.
Getting your skin feeling fresh and rejuvenated in just a matter of minutes - who wouldn't want to use them?!
I love trying out new masks so I thought I'd pick up this one from Botanics when I spotted it the other day and give it a go!

This is the Ionic Clay Mask from the Shine Away range. Botanics is actually a brand I've never used before. I've always looked at their products but this has been my first purchase from them - and I love it!
After reading the back and some of the information I was intrigued by the way in which this mask works.
As you can read below the oceanic clay used in the mask exhibits a negative electrical charge which helps draw out deep-rooted impurities..... sounds a bit crazy huh?
I imagined me putting this stuff on my face and maybe it starting to spark and then turning into a Jim Carrey Mask type person? .... but unfortunately not. (major sad face)
I decided to try this out on my day off - I woke up and cleansed my face (like it says) and then got down to business.
I squeezed out a healthy amount and started to apply it to all over my face, avoiding the obvious areas. Once I was done I sat down and relaxed for the 10 minutes it says to leave it.
After leaving for 10 minutes the mask was set and had gone from a dark grey/black colour to a light grey hard substance, the kind which is so tight it makes you unable to move your face and always wants to make me laugh!
I wiped off some of the excess mask and then washed my face with warm water and the mask came off with ease.
After splashing my face with some cold water after removal my face felt so soft and smooth  - I love fresh feeling skin - it makes me happy.
The only problem was that my face was a little red and patchy after using this mask, I was worried I was having a reaction but thankfully it didn't last long and was gone within the hour!
So next week when I use this I think I will use it in the evening (problem the time in which are you suppose to use a face mask!) then I can go to sleep and wake up looking totes fabulous!
Since using this clay mask my face has felt softer, smoother and alot more hydrated.
This mask was on offer when I bought it at only £4.99 - normal price is £6.99! This is going to fit into my skincare routine with ease - 10 minutes once a week? Easy!
Oh and because I know you all want to see it on..... here you go.
