This Week I'm Loving... #10

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Okay... I LOVE this show! By the time this post goes up I'm 99% sure I would have seen the whole season already! It is hilarious, I don't want to spoil it so if you have Netflix go and watch it now! (The theme song is the best!)

MAC Velvet Teddy Lipstick
I've wanted this beauty for so long now, so when I saw it was back in stock I thought I'd treat myself! Such a gorgeous nude, I'm sure it will be featured on here alot more!

Fringed H&M Bag
This was the best purchase I've made in a while! I love love love this new bag, it is the perfect size for me - I can't wait to take it to Berlin with me this week!

The Following Season 3
Yay! I have been waiting for this for what seems like forever! This show is awesome, yes it's tense and a bit gory but it is brilliant, love a bit of Kevin Bacon!

Make-up Revolution Contour Brush
This has slowly become my everyday go-to brush for contouring! I use this with my Rodial Contouring powder and my Mary-Lou Manizer from theBalm! They are only £3 too, bargain!

Chocolate Chip Hobnobs
I have come to a serious conclusion, chocolate chip hobnobs are better than chocolate hobnobs... call me crazy - but they are!

Focus
Yes Margot Robbie was in my post last week BUT she's making an appearance once again! I went to see Focus in the week and thought it was awesome! I love a good con-artist movie/TV show.... seriously thy need to bring back Hustle - that was a favourite of mine! Will Smith and Margot are great and my crushes on them both are strong.

Afterlight
I'm all for fun editing apps and this one is now a favourite of mine! I found out about this after reading a post from the lovely Megan from Thumbelina Lillie! It isn't a free app which sucks but I love all the filters and thing you get on it so I think it's worth it!

Eylure 101 Eyelashes
These are now my eyelashes of choice! I used to be obsessed with 107's but they've change them and now thy feel way too big for my teeny tiny eyes! These are great though, I keep buying the 3 packs from Boots, I wish I could wear them 24/7!

My 5 Most Used Brushes

Brushes... one of those key ingredients to make-up and it's application.
I honestly don't know how I use to apply my make-up with no brushes when I was younger - what on earth was I thinking, I dread to think what I looked like!

Back when I was about 15 I used probably 1 brush and that was just a cheap little kabuki brush to apply some bronzer - everything else was done with my hands... opps!
I like to think I've come along way since then, it's 9 years later and I owe more make-up brushes than kitchen cutlery but there are a few that have a firm place in my daily make-up routine and those are rhe brushes I'm going to share with you today!
These are the 5 brushes that I use the most.
Brushes that I use daily and brushes that, now, I couldn't see myself living without - they are my fav's and are all pretty affordbable in my opinion!

1.  Real Techniques Powder Brush
I love this big fluffy brush. It's perfect for using with a powder after foundation  to help set it and I use it daily - also fab if you want to add some bronzer to your neck and chest!

2. Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
I use this for my Seventeen Pwhooar Paint concealer and it works wonders! So good for blending - I will never use my fingers for concealer again! Would also be great for contouring!

3. Zoeva Silk Finish Brush
This is the greatest foundation brush I've ever used! I hate your standard flat foundation brush - I've never go on with them and just don't get them! I love a flat buffing bruh like this and this works so well with any of my favouite foundations! This thing is a lifesaver!

4. Zoeva Luxe Sheer Cheek Brush
This angled brush is what I use with my Sleek contouring kit - which, to be honest, I don't know how I lived without!
The Sleek kit has become a staple in my make-up bag and this brush with it, I hardly go a day without it! This brush is fab for using along my cheek bones and jaw lines with the bronzer and then I flip it to the other side and use it for the highlighter!

5. ELF Eyeliner Brush
Yes yes yes I know this is an eyeliner brush BUT for me this is my eyeBROW brush! This size and shape is perfect to help me fill in my brows with my HD brows palette and I have been using it for years!

So there you have it - my 5 most used brushes! Was this a bit of a boring post?!
What brushes do you use the most and which are your favouites?

Product Of The Week #6

Finally another make-up product has made it into my product of the week!
Now, as you may know, I've been trying to put myself on a spending ban so I have been delving into my current make-up collection and using alot more of the stuff I already own (that would be sensible wouldn't it!)
As I've run out of my favourite everyday mascara (Maxfactor Masterpiece Max) and forking out £10 for a new one is a no-no at the moment, I have been going through that mascara draw I normally ignore and using up all those I have lying around!

The mascara that I have been using non-stop this past week is the Lancome Hypnose Star which is actually a miniature I bought in a gift set back at Christmas time. (you may remember the review!)

I'm so bad for buying things and forgetting to use them and I am totally guilty for forgetting about these miniature mascaras!
I spotted this one and thought I'd give it a go and add it into my daily routine!
Now... I am so happy I did! This mascara is awesome! It has a funky brush which is actually flat not round and it gets thinner towards the end which helps gets all those little lashes in the corners!
I have really short, stumpy rubbish lashes (waaaa for me :( ) so anything that helps lengthen my lashes is a good good friend - this does the trick perfectly!
Another full sized product I want to invest in - I'd better try and make this little one last for now!

No7's FREE Perfect Lips Kit Review

I'm always up for a bargain and even more so for a freebie!
So when I saw that No7 had a beautiful free kit up for grabs I was straight in there!
All you have to do to qualify for this amazing offer is purchase 2 or more items from the no7 make-up range!  Easy peasy! And a total steal in my opinion as the kit itself is worth £25 with it including a lipstick, a lipgloss and a lip brush.

The items I bought to get this kit were - the Stay Perfect Amazing Eyes Pencil in Black £6.50 and the Stay Perfect Smoothing & Brightening Eyeshadow Base £7. I feel like eyeliners run out so quickly so it is always nice to have a few right? I've also been dying to try out a new eyeshadow base so this was perfect!
The total of these was £13.50 and with it I received the lips kit which is worth £25 I believe - bargain. To be fair I was sold by the lipstick alone, I have another one of the Stay Perfect lipsticks and it is such amazing quality, getting one for free was a no brainer for me!
As you can see above you recieve 3 items in the lips kit.
A Lipstick, a lipgloss & a lip brush. First up the lipstick...
This is the No7 Stay Perfect lipstick in Classic Rose. If you have been reading my blog for a while you will remember me doing a post a little while ago about another one of these lipsticks in the shade - Gay Geranium.
The quality of these is amazing, just one coat and the colour is so thick and pigmented (as you can see in the swatch) and this is the perfect daytime, casual colour for me!
Up next is the high shine lipgloss! This is in the shade Smile and it is a really pretty pale pink. Perfect on its own or to pair with a lipstick. This is a great shade for just a tint of colour on your lips and I know it is probably going to live in my handbag for top-ups on the go!
It also comes with a gorgeous lip brush - which is super handy for me as I don't actually own that many!
I would only use this sort of thing if I was doing my make-up for a big night out/occasion - normally I just chuck lipstick on and head out the door but I think this is fab for that extra detail!
Have any of you managed to pick this bargain up aswell? I'm so so pleased with it!

Have you entered my 500 followers giveway yet? Lots up for grabs - head on over to the post and enter now!

Deborah Milano Natural Blush - 01 Chocolate

Now you all know I'm just really a blush fan, for some reason I've never really liked the look of it on me. It may be because when I was younger I always used to have red cheeks and hated it!
So... I always like to go for a brown/coral toned blush if there is one instead of a pinky shade! So when I saw Deborah Milano had a "chocolate" coloured blush I thought perfect! I am the bronzer queen - I love them.
I first encounered Deborah Milano a few months ago and did a post on a lovely lip colour - you can read it here.
First of all I love this packaging, the shape is so cute and unique.. (sounds stupid but it really reminds me of those shells you skim along the water at the beach...) and it comes with a little brush too. I'm going to be honest here, I will probably never ever use this brush but it is great if you are on the go and really don't fancy carrying around your usual brushes, but for me I'd rather lug around my Real Techniques or Zoeva.
The love the shade of this bronzer it is pretty so wearable and would be perfect for a variety of different skintones.
It is mostly a matte colour but there is a slight teeny weeny bit of shimmer in there - reminds me slightly of the "chocolate" bronzer from Bourjois (what a coincidence haha!)
A little bit of information straight from the Deborah Milano site -
Natural Blush is enriched with precious gem dust: Amethyst,Mother-of-Pearl, Coral, Tourmaline, Amber, Jade and Ruby. Precious gems are bursting with the minerals and trace elements that skin needs, and are especially gentle on sensitive skin types. The unique formula blends flawlessly into skin, leaving a luminous, matte finish that lasts and lasts.
For only £6.90 I think this is great value for money! Deborah Milano have such lovely products and if you haven't tried any yet I really do recommend them!

What are your favourite bronzers? I have so many I struggle to choose one to wear in the morning!

(***Disclaimer : This product was kindly sent to me by the lovely people at Deborah Milano. All thoughts, opinions and ideas are always my own and I would never include an item or product on A Yellow Brick Blog that I didn't truly believe in.)
