MeMeMe Flawless Concealer Review

Hello fellow beauty lovers and addicts - I'm back today with a brand spanking review - wahoooo!
I feel like I haven't done a make-up review in so long, what a bad beauty blogger I am! But nevertheless here I am with a snazzy new concealer I've been trying out and wanted to share with you all so ......keep on reading to find out more!
MeMeMe are a brand which I had heard lots and lots about - especially for their well-known "dupes" for products like Benefit's High Beam (things like this alwasy get my attention!) so trying their products has been on my to-do list for a while!

This is the Flawless Concealer, a liquid concealer which comes in a range of 3 shades according to MeMeMe's website but my product simly to says "No.5" so I'm not too sure which one it is!
MeMeMe Flawless Concealer*
With is doe-footed applicator this lightweight and creamy product is easy to swipe on to help created a 'flawless' complexion and gt rid of all those nasty imperfections I spend my mornings groaning about.

I have been using this for about a week now and have been really really happy with it. I normally use Seventeen's Phwoarr Paint but with all this hot weather it has just seemed a bit thick and heavy on my skin and by the end of the day I have been regretting slapping it on in the mornings, espeiclly if I've used a lighter base like a CC cream.
For a lightweight cream this concealer gives great coverage. I have been using it on both my dark circles and a few blemishes and spots that have seemed to crop up on my face recently. (sun = sweat = spots, appratnly - not cool skin, not cool!)
Obviously it isn't as heavy duty as Seventeen's but for the current climate I have been enjoying using this alot more!

This is actually only £6.50 (see here) which I was pleasantly surprised about as I thought it would be a bit more than that!
I'm looking forward to trying out more from this brand - so keep your eyes peeled as MeMeMe are bound to be making another appearance on A Yellow Brick Blog!
Any of you guys tried anything out anything from them before?

3 Fab Lipstick Dupes

I love a good dupe when it comes to make-up, but then again who doesn't?!
Knowing that you can get nearly the same fab product but for a fraction of the product's price tag is one good feeling!
I'm always reading and looking out for other bloggers dupe posts so I thought it was about time that I started sharing with you guys dupe that's I have discovered over the last few years!
First up is three lipsticks that I seem to have copycats of - I love higher end and drugstore lipsticks just as much as each other... just FYI!
Lipstick Dupe #1
Mac Girl About Town (£15) VS Rimmel Moisture Renew Lily Extase (6.49)
Saving : £8.51
If you've read my blog before you may know that Girl About Town is my favourite Mac lipstick that I own!
I am such a fuchsia lover and it's always a go-to shade for me! It wasn't until recently that I noticed stumbled across this lipstick by Rimmel in my collection and saw how similar they are!
I know that the Moisture Renew lipsticks have had a bit of a make-over recently so I'm not sure if this shade is still available but if you can get your hands on it I highly recommend you do! They are both super hydrating, pigmented and have a great long-lasting finish.
Lipstick Dupe #2
No7 Stay Perfect Gay Geranium (£9.75) VS Seventeen Stay Pout Make An Entrance (£4.49)
Saving : £5.26
These are both Boots brands and I think most people see Seventeen as the "younger, hipper" version of the formal No7.
Even the name of the products are similar, the only main difference being the price! The Seventeen lipstick is less than half the price of the No7 and for me the quality is totally equal! The colours of both are stunning and so stand out, although the Stay Pout is only very slightly darker than the Stay Perfect!
Lipstick Dupe #3
Mac Matte Lipstick Candy Yum-Yum (£15) VS Barry M Lip Paint 62 (£4.49)
Saving : £10.51
This is probably the best dupe I've found so far! I have been buying Barry M lipsticks and glosses for years and really do swear by them! The colours are amazing and they are still some of the cheapest on the drugstore market!
Of course I LOVE my Mac lipstick but if you aren't up for paying the price of mac or just wanted to see weather a colour this vibrant would suit you before splashing out the Barry M alternative is totally and utterly perfect!
So there's 3 fab dupes for you all - let me know weather you like this type of post and if you would like to see anymore!

September Favourites

October is here so it would only be polite to bring you my September favourites!
Yes it's those monthly products and things that I have been loving and obsessing over for the last 4 weeks!
September was a really fun month, my family just got a puppy, I moved out, I went to the Bestival, I met up with my friends from Florida and went to London to explore... it has been a gooden!
Now it's October and probably going to be my busiest month this year so far, so keep an eye out for lots of posts coming your way soon....
There's beauty, there's skincare, there's haircare and of course a little something extra.... it wouldn't be a Kirstie favourites post without a random thing thrown in there!
We put so much pressure and strain on our feet day-in, day-out that I think it's so important to look after them and keep them looking pretty (as hard as that is for feet...ewww). There's nothing worse than toenails with no polish on, hard skin, dry skin..... a bit disgusting to talk abut but everyone gets it, especially after a summer of wearing sandals and flip flops 24/7.
This stuff is amazing for keeping my feet soft and thoroughly moisturised.  I love to give my feet a good pampering once a week or so, a long soak, a quick use of my 'Utterly fantastic foot buffer from Soap & Glory' and then smother this on before putting on some light cotton socks and taking myself off to bed to let it soak in overnight! The smell is so lovely and refreshing and totally wakes your feet up! In the morning my feet feel smooth, soft and smooth as a baby's bottom - fabulous!
I've always been so lucky with my skin, spots have always been a rare thing for me and I have always been so grateful for that. But over the last few weeks I have been getting a few friends on my face... and they haven't been the mot subtle of "friends", in fact, some have them have needed their on postcode!
So as always I've rushed out and bought my savior - the rapid action treatment cream from Clearasil. This always works so well on my skin and I mentioned it before in The Skincare Tag I did back in July! I just pop this on the certain area a couple of times a day and it really helps with the redness and swelling of the spot which luckily means they don't lsat long at all! I highly recommend this stuff if you want a quick and easy way to reduce your spot size and redness!
If you read my blog regularly of have been here recently you would have seen the post I did on this product. I have used this literally everyday since purchasing it.
It is a gorgeous highlighter and a fantastic dupe for Benefit's High Beam at just a fraction of the price.
As a base, mixed with your foundation of just used on certain parts of your face to complete the look this stuff, in my opinion, is amazing - here is my post from a couple of weeks ago where we you can read all about it and check out a swatch!
Again another product I have mentioned before. I had this in my "Beauty Buys Of The Week" in September and since then I have worn it a few times and have just been obsessed. It is shade 156 from Barry M and is one of their 'ultra moisturising lip paints'. Because it is now Autumn I have pushed myself to get out of my baby and bright pink bubble and venture out into using darker shades! This is a dark purple colour and I'm so glad I went out of my comfort zone and tried it as I really love it and definitely think I will be wearing it alot more over the next few months.
Nail polishes are something I buy every single month without fail, I don't know why but I'm always adding to my collection. So when I saw that my local Boots had released the Matte Barry M polishes I had to pick up this one.
I love black nail polish especially in Autumn and Winter and especially on my toes (looks great with peep toes). This is called Espresso and is just a plain matte black, something everyone needs in their collection I think and here else on the drug-store market can you get a good qulaity matte black polish? I can't wait to pick up the rest of the Matte collection but I have gel nails on the moment so it is little unnecessary buying all of them for now.
Even if you have been living under a rock you know that I love Lee Stafford.
I normally use the Hair Growth treatment once a week but over the last month I have been chopping and changing through all the fabulous products I got in my Huge Lee Stafford Haul
I have been using this Breaking Hair Treatment a couple of times a week along with the Breaking Hair shampoo and conditioner and have loved the effect it has had on my hair.
where I've started using clip-in extensions again this month I've wanted to make sure my hair is staying in a good condition.
This product leaves my hair soft, strong and shiny and not to mention the amazing smell, my hair feels so much better from using this over the last 4/5 weeks on and off, another product from Mr. Stafford that is working wonders!
I always tell myself to moisturise more but sometimes in the morning and before I go to bed I'm in to much of a rush/or too lazy to do it.
Queue Nivea's Express Hydration Primer, perfect for the morning and before I do my make-up. Not only is this stuff as hydrating as Nivea's moisturisers it really is a fantastic primer.
It looks thick and creamy in the jar but you only need a tiny bit to cover your face and it turns straight into a clear primer perfect for make-up application. I have used this nearly every day in September, it is fantastic. Not greasy, not thick and helps my make-up stay on so so well.
Another great product from Nivea.... they always seem to make their way into my monthly favourites .

Just a last quick thing - Ariana Grande's debut album. I have had this album on repeat since the day I got it on September 3rd. Yes, she has been in my favorites before back in July but I am still loving her and now I have a whole album to rave about!
It is called 'Yours truly' and has 13 tracks, including her singles The Way & Baby I.
She is amazing, the best voice in the charts at the moment without a shadow of a doubt.  There is a song for every mood on this album and I dare you not to like it! My favourite songs are Honeymoon Avenue and Piano! Go Ariana..... hurry up and come to the UK on tour please!

SEVENTEEN Skin Wow! 3 Way Highlighter

I'm back! Well.... To be fair I haven't really been gone but I feel like I haven't properly blogged in forever! (Reading back my last two posts I'm horrified at my crap writing and awful sentence structure.... I do apologise I have been extremely tired!)

In the last 10 days I've moved house, gone to Bestival and when I haven't been getting drunk in a field or building a dressing table I've been working full-time - life has been busy!
But I've vowed to myself to keep up the blogging as I have soooo many posts in my head that I need to get into my laptop and onto the Internet!

Today's post is a beauty post! ('Yayyy' I hear you all cheer!) And it is all about a new highlighter that I have fallen completely and utterly in love with -
Seventeen Skin Wow! 3 Way Highlighter. (I just wanna say sorry about the bad quality of my photos today - lightning in my new place is apparently not on my side!)
I spotted this a good few days ago and as soon as I saw the name it drew me in!
I am such fan of highlighters and I love finding new ones to try out, the dewy/glowing skin look is my favourite - I die with jealously everytime I watch Tanya Burr's videos - seriously how does your skin glow like that Tan? Amazing.
This is one of the new products from Seventeen who I have to say I am LOVING at the moment. They are on top form with their new prime and conceal range and this particular product is called the Skin Wow! 3 way Highlighter.
The first thing I love about this product is the fact it is in a pump bottle, I do not own any other highlighters that are and I think it is the perfect way for distributing it.
It is called the 3 Way highlighter as it can be used in 3 different ways. (funny that eh?)
Perfect as a primer before your foundation, just blend a small bit all over your face after moisturising  - this will give your face a gorgeous radiant base!
Secondly, you can mix a small bit up with your foundation and put it on together - again and fabulous way to go from drab to fab in seconds!
And... my personal favourite - using it simply as a highlight, only putting it on certain areas of my face such as my cheek bones and brow bones. I alwasys do this after I have applied my foundation and before I apply bronzer! It gives my skin such a pretty and natural glow.
I would definitely compare this stuff to High Beam from Benefit (a personal favourite product of mine that I have used for years and years) it's pearly pinkish iridescent colour is so so similar and I think it works just aswell!
Just one pump is enough and probably even too much for one use but it is so easy to adjust how much you use at one time (the second photo is probably only about a 1/4 of a pump!) ! I personally think this bottle will last me ages and for the price of only £5.99 it is such a bargain compared to other similar highlighters out there!

Do you use highlighters? What are your favourites? Any bargains out there?
