MAC Lipsticks - one of the beauty lovers 'must-haves' of the century. From classic shades to limited edition collections - I'm sure you've all got at least one, in my opinion they are one of the best lipsticks out there and you can NEVER have too many! I love the ones I own and my wishlist is as long as my arm but I have a few that seem to always be the ones I reach for first - old faithfuls that I can trust!
Rebel | Velvet Teddy | Viva Glam Miley | Girl About Town
Rebel
Who's says dark shades are only for Autumn or Wintermonths? Not me! I love this colour, fab for both nights out and daytime wearing - this deep purple is going to have to be repurchased soon I think!
Velvet Teddy
Probably the easiest colour for anyone to wear, ever. I haven't yet found a nude that I love as much as Velvet Teddy, this is a fail safe for any look - I love wearing it alongside my Whirl lip liner!
Viva Glam Miley
Miley's addition to the world famous viva glam lipstick range - a gorgeous bright fuschia pink. I am such a huge fan of this shade and always get compliments on it!
Girl About Town
The classic Kirstie. If I had to pick just one pink lipstick to wear for the rest of time this would be it! This is the shade I always recommend to people when they ask me my MAC favourites!
I'm a huge fan of reading posts like these. MAC have so much choice is ridiculous, so knowing what people have picked out is something that always intrigues and interests me! I don't own hundreds on MAC products but the ones I do have I love to bits which brings me to today's post. This is my MAC lipstick collection (minus my new Cinderella collection lipstick which has arrived yet!) , Yay to lipsticks and owning more and more every month haha!
Velvet Teddy
The newest in my collection - I had been eyeing this up for a long, long while.... mainly because of Kylie Jenner and her awesome nude lips! This isn't a colour I would normally go for but I have fallen in love with it! I've been wearing it alongside my Whirl lip liner and I love it.
Siagon Summer
This is definitely a summer shade - a fab orange tone, great with a tan and fun bright clothing and I think the name is so pretty.
M.A.C. Red
A total classic here. Everyone needs a red lipstick (or 30-odd in my case!) and this one is fab for a gorgeous sultry, lip-popping look.
Rebel
Hands down one of my most worn lipsticks ever. I was always a bit dubious when the dark lip trend started but I have learned to love it, it won't be long before I'm going to have to invest in another one of these beautys.
Herione
If you're looking for a fun bright purple - this is it. I got this in Florida after wanting it for months and I have not been disappointed, I just can't wait to wear it constantly this summer!
Girl About Town
I would have to say this is my "go-to" lipstick, a colour I feel like I can pull off whatever I'm doing, day or night. A great fuschia shade which I have got ALOT of wear out of!
Viva Glam Miley Cyrus
Another newbie now - I have been going through a bit of a spending stage and have bought 3 new mac lipsticks in the last month or so... slap me on the wrist someone and hide my bank cards! I LOVE this colour, high five Miley! (Plus money from these purchases goes toward charity so it's a win-win really!)
Candy Yum Yum
The brightest of them all now! I have to be in a real confident and vibrant mood to pull this off - perfect for festivals and parties in the sun!
Impassioned
This is such an unique shade, I don't have anything else like it and I've had friends just look at me and know what shade it is! A lovely coral-pink with amazing pigmentation just like the rest of them, this is great if you fancy trying something new.
Viva Glam Nicki Minaj
This was the first MAC lipstick I ever bought and I got it from the store in Times Square, NYC. This lipstick brings back so many happy memories of America - I have no idea if you can still get your hands on it?!
Pink Pearl Pop
Another one bought whilst in Florida last year now! I was just browsing the counter and stumbled across this one - we didn't have long til our gate opened so I thought I'd just buy it! It's a fair bit sheerer than most of the others I own but it makes it perfect for work or when I'm doing a real minimal look.

I love a good dupe when it comes to make-up, but then again who doesn't?!
Knowing that you can get nearly the same fab product but for a fraction of the product's price tag is one good feeling!
I'm always reading and looking out for other bloggers dupe posts so I thought it was about time that I started sharing with you guys dupe that's I have discovered over the last few years!
First up is three lipsticks that I seem to have copycats of - I love higher end and drugstore lipsticks just as much as each other... just FYI!
Lipstick Dupe #1
Mac Girl About Town (£15) VS Rimmel Moisture Renew Lily Extase (6.49)
Saving : £8.51
If you've read my blog before you may know that Girl About Town is my favourite Mac lipstick that I own!
I am such a fuchsia lover and it's always a go-to shade for me! It wasn't until recently that I noticed stumbled across this lipstick by Rimmel in my collection and saw how similar they are!
I know that the Moisture Renew lipsticks have had a bit of a make-over recently so I'm not sure if this shade is still available but if you can get your hands on it I highly recommend you do! They are both super hydrating, pigmented and have a great long-lasting finish.
Lipstick Dupe #2
No7 Stay Perfect Gay Geranium (£9.75) VS Seventeen Stay Pout Make An Entrance (£4.49)
Saving : £5.26
These are both Boots brands and I think most people see Seventeen as the "younger, hipper" version of the formal No7.
Even the name of the products are similar, the only main difference being the price! The Seventeen lipstick is less than half the price of the No7 and for me the quality is totally equal! The colours of both are stunning and so stand out, although the Stay Pout is only very slightly darker than the Stay Perfect!
Lipstick Dupe #3
Mac Matte Lipstick Candy Yum-Yum (£15) VS Barry M Lip Paint 62 (£4.49)
Saving : £10.51
This is probably the best dupe I've found so far! I have been buying Barry M lipsticks and glosses for years and really do swear by them! The colours are amazing and they are still some of the cheapest on the drugstore market!
Of course I LOVE my Mac lipstick but if you aren't up for paying the price of mac or just wanted to see weather a colour this vibrant would suit you before splashing out the Barry M alternative is totally and utterly perfect!
So there's 3 fab dupes for you all - let me know weather you like this type of post and if you would like to see anymore!
One of my favourite things is getting glammed up for a night out with my girls! This is a time I wear (alot) more make-up than usual - eyeshadow, lashes, the works! It's always fun getting dressed up and glammed isn't it?
After uploading a recent night-out selfie(so vain right?) and getting a few questions on what I had on my face I thought I would share with you my absolute must-haves which I always go to for a full face of glam make-up!
(Obviously this isn't all that I wear, but I'd feel lost if I didn't have these products!)
1. Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation
I mentioned this badboy in my favourite foundations post! This is my go-to foundation for nights out, amazing high coverage and lasts for hours and hours (even after a good few drinks and boogey on the dancefloor!) Perfect when used with a buffing brush like my one from Zoeva, this helps give a flawless finish!
2. Eylure 107 Fake Eyelashes
My eyelashes are tiny, short and stumpy so false lashes are always a must for me when getting dressed up!
These ones from Eylure have been my favourite for years! They recently changed them and made them slightly bigger which scared me a bit but they are great for my small eye shape and haven't found any others yet that I love as much (and are as easy to put on)! Please excuse the 'used' lashes .... I like to get multiple wears!
3. ELF HD Powder
Jeeez this packaging is messy - I promise I do look after my stuff! I have been using this powder for a few years now - I think this is my second pot. I'm not really a fan of loose powders but this one works so well that I put up with it! (If they could make this in a pressed powder I would be super duper happy!) This powder is bright white but is translucent once brushed onto the skin ], I use this all over my face with a large fluffy brush to set my foundation - it is fab and helps me avoid a shiny face in photos!
4. A Mac Lipstick
Make-up isn't complete without a fabulous lip colour and mac lipsticks are the best when it comes to this!
With the amount of shades they have too, Mac is the perfect place to go if you are trying to match a lip colour to your outfit! The quality is fantastic and they are seriously long-lasting! My favourite shade is Girl About Town - I seem to always grab this colour for a night out!
5. Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette
Again... oppsie this is a bit messy isn't it!
Since getting this for Christmas a couple of years ago I have used it near enough EVERY time I have gone out!
I am obsessed with it and love all the different looks you can make from just one palette! The quality is great, the colour are gorgeous and as you can see this lasts years! A must have for any neutral-loving girl's make-up collection!
What products do you grab when you are going for a night out?!
So that's one of my favourite month's been and gone - and what a great one it was!
Taylor Swift concert, a fabulous 24th birthday, great times with friends and a cheeky shopping trip to top it off! I have had such a great month and even managed to get 23 blog posts up (not sure how I managed that!)
And with another month done comes another favourites post! All those things I have been lovely in those 28 days that are February!
First up .... a Lee Stafford product! What a surprise! We all know I love myself a bit of Lee and this is a product I've owned for ages! This month I have been loving it, with my birthday and a few other occasions I have been using heat more than usual so this Flat Iron Protection Shine Mist has been used more than a few times! I always use a heat protectant and this has got to be my favourite that I've tried out! Not only does it smell yummy but it gives a great shine and finish when drying and styling my hair - top marks LS!
A concealer now and this is the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer! This is actually the first highlighting concealer I've tried and I'm really enjoying it! I've been using this on days where my bags aren't too bad so I can get away with not using my Seventeen Pwhoarr paint! I love the twist action bottom to help dispense the product and it blends into the skin really well! Fab new discovery for me!
Next is the February Issue of Teen Vogue! I was lucky enough to be sent this by my wonderful friend Meghan who lives in Florida (and it arrived of my birthday which was even more exciting!). She knows how much I love Ariana Grande so managed to get me a copy of this and sent it over that big old pond- she's so thoughtful!
I know it's called "teen" vogue but I couldn't care less - I'm 24 and still love it! Some great fashion and beauty features and of course I love the interview and pictorial with Ariana - she is such a babe!
No7's Eyeshadow Primer/Base. I got this stuff a while ago when there was No7 free gift deal on (I did do a post on it!) but it is just only recently I have turned to using this alot!
I love the pinky shade it gives the lids and it works so well as a primer/base - especially as I have been using the pink based shades in my Stila palette alot recently!
This is one of the lipsticks I got for my birthday.... and I am a tiny bit obsessed! Mac's Girl About Town has got to be my favourite pink lipstick I own! The colour is the perfect pink for me , it is fab! I did a whole post on this beauty, so if you want to see and/or read more I will link it right... about... - here!
I am always looking for new show to get into especially on Netflix (I try to make it worth that £6 I pay a month!) I'd been looking at starting Orange Is The New Black for a while and when I had a few days off work together this month and with the weather being pants I thought I would go ahead and check out the Pilot episode! It is safe to say that after that first episode I was totally and utterly hooked! I normally know within the first episode or two weather I'm going to enjoy a TV series and this was a definite thumbs up from me! I actually ended up finishing season 1 in less than 3 days! I know... some major commitment right there but I just couldn't stop! I love this show - it is funny, shocking and really well written - I literally cannot wait for season 2 to come out later on this year! Have you tried any of these products or watched OITNB?! Any TV shows on Netflix I need to watch? I'm currently watching The Killing!
Here is the last of the Mac lipsticks I got for my birthday (I know, I'm a lucky lucky girl!) Check out my previous reviews of Impassioned & Candy Yum-Yum! As you can tell I have a major love for lipsticks.... especially pink ones!
Another Amplified Creme from Mac here, a gorgeous creamy formula (my fav!). I have been eyeing this up honestly for months and months and now I finally have it I'm actually annoyed I hadn't bought it sooner because it is a beaut!
This shade reminds me slightly of a Mac lipstick I bought years ago called Trimming Talk, which was discontinued, (yup I was devo!) just a little less vibrant - it is a gorgeous deep fusicha shade.
As you can see I've already worn this one - couldn't wait sorry! Although I probably should of cleaned it up a bit before giving it a photoshoot - opps a daisy! I do look after my make-up I promise!
This is such a wearable colour - daytime, nighttime even bloomin bedtime - I will be wearing this!
I choose to wear this out for my birthday night out and thought I'd insert some photos in here so you can see what it looks like on - because normally I'm rubbish at doing that - blogger fail! (in some of these I may be a little tipsy... but it was my birthday so you can let me off right?)
It's a little darker than the other shades I featured recently but for me this is a must have colour! If you're looking to purchase a new or even your first mac lipstick I would highly recommend Girl About Town!
The pigmentation as always with Amplified creme's is perfect for me - just one swipe and you get a flawless thick opaque colour (like below) - what more could you want?
Girl About Town is £15 and I think well worth it - I've found a pink that is so wearable and great for my skintone, a product I'd buy over and over again!
So after lots of you said yes yes yes to me doing a birthday haul type post - here it is!
Just thought I'd share of my photos from Saturday and a couple of the presents I was lucky enough to receive - I truly do have such incredible people around me who made my day so special!
I turned up to my friend's house to see this! Wow! Everyone knows I am a crazy Disney lover and my friends seriously knew what would make me smile!
Banner, balloons and party food (including princess cupcakes!) - if I hadn't already done my make-up I really would have let the tears flow!
This was bought into me at midnight by my lovely boyfriend! He knew that I'd seen this cake ages ago in Tesco and really wanted it - Finest Red Velvet - and check out those candles - boy did good! YUM!
Look how cute this is! I love this Micky & Minnie ornament so much - just got to decided where to put it now!
Birthday treat time! Wahoooo I got my nails done! I've actually hated not having them done the past few weeks - having them just make me feel 200% better about myself and so much more glamorous, especially for my night out!
I got this gorgeous brown/taupe type colour , I really fancied a neutral shade this time round, I know I'm meant to be on a spending ban but I think this is one luxury I can't give up just yet!
Beauty addict alert! Look what I got from my boyfriend - yup... 3 gorgeous Mac lipsticks! All are shades I have wanted for ages - Impassioned, Candy Yum-Yum & Girl About Town. All pink and all gorgeous, I am obsessed! And of course there will be reviews and swatches up soon! (How could I not?!)
By the name of my blog you may have noticed I'm a bit of a Wizard Of Oz fangirl! (And this birthday I recieved lots of W.O.O. themed presents aswell as Disney - people just know me so well!) My Mum got us tickets to see Wicked this year so this was a perfect present from her! I LOVE musicals and cannot wait to see this, it's been on my to-do list for years!
I am an obsessive DVD hoarder - I love films! These are both movies I had seen before and loved - one was from my little brother and the other my boyfriend! These are both must-see's I love them and so glad I can watch them again whenever I want now!
I did have one of these until about a month ago- when I smashed it open to pay for my deposit for Disneyworld!
So what a perfect present! I will be filling this up to the brim and smashing it open just before I go away - perfect way to save save save!
Since moving out I have been loving getting bits an bobs for my flat! This is the cutest timer for the kitchen! Cath Kidston with the little pup on the top, adorable!
This was such a special present from my parents! Limited edition framed cells from the movie The Wizard Of Oz - only 700 of these were ever made and I am lucky enough to have one of them! The cells I received are brilliant aswell - such an exciting and personal present.
That's just a few of the presents I got - I had such a fab day and evening! A great way to start my year of being 24!
If you want to see more then let me know as I have lots of other things to share but if you don't like this sort of post then let me know aswell :)
