I've been meaning to make this post for months and months now, I just have struggled to find the time to get on with it!
I love creating and even though I'm not naturally artistic (I struggle with a stick man) ever since I was a child I have always loved making collages, cutting bits out of magazines and I used to sit there make new things to put up in my bedroom weekly - I just loved it. (Oh... remember those days before the internet!)
I had been thinking about making one of these for my flat for months now - whether it be a vision board or a happiness board I wanted to have something that I could put together myself, that I could change every month or so to make me smile, keep
You can do this with anything! If you have a goal you want to reach, saving for a holiday, counting down to your wedding, need a bit of motivation for work or maybe just want to fill the board with happy memories that make you smile - everyone needs one of these!
As you can see I filled mine with all sorts of things - fun photos of holidays, friends and family (how cute is the one of me and my little Brother when he has chicken pox haha!), quotes from magazines that I love (especially that Cameron Diaz one!) - tickets from fun events, a card of my favorite movie The Wizard Of Oz and lots of little hints at ORLANDO to remind me that it won't be long until I'm back there #MotivationToSave!
What do you think? Is this something you would make yourself? Let me know!
(I bought my board from Amazon - it was only around £10 and looks a million times nicer than your usual cork board!)

Making Memories \\ #ALittleMemory
Hello my lovelies and welcome back (or hiiii for the first time) to A Yellow Brick Blog!
Today I'm going to talking about memories.
Memories, memories, memories and my total love for them, especially when it comes to photos.
My home is surrounded in photos of my friends, family and events from throughout my life and it really is true when people say a picture holds a thousand words.
I have been very lucky over the last few years to have made some of the most incredible memories - from travelling the states with my best friend and seeing things I never dreamed I would be able to, to moving out for the first time and having the holiday of a lifetime with my boyfriend and I am so, so grateful to have had these experiences.
Solopress have recently partnered up with Little Havens Care for a really lovely campaign in which I am so happy and proud to be a part of.
LHC is a children's hospice based in Essex who specialise in making special memories for children with life threatening conditions, something I think we would all love to get behind, help and support with.
Solopress were kind enough to create a gorgeous photobook full of photos of some of my favourite memories for me along with an amazing new diary and a selfie stick! (Yay I finally have one now!!)
I was overwhelmed when this little box of goodies arrived and looking through the book put a smile on my face from ear to ear, so many happy and fun times all in one pretty place.
The diary is such an amazing idea aswell - each page has a day of the year and there are 5 sections, so you can write in it for 5 years! I can't wait to start it now and see what I get upto and what memories I can make!
Now onto how YOU can help raise money for the amazing Little Havens Care...
All you have to do is upload a special photo of yours to Twitter using the hashtag #alittlememory and nominate a friend to do the same!
Example : CLICK HERE TO SEE MINE :)
For every person that tweets a photo using the hashtag the awesome people at Solopress will donate £1 to the children at the hospice to help them create their very own special memories.
Get that chain flowing by tagging a friend and watch the money build and build! It is literally THAT simple!
Please, please, please get involved guys - it is so easy and you really will be helping the children of the hospice in making amazing memories with their loved ones.

15 Songs We Were All Obsessed With In The Early 00s
*Random post alert!*
I was at work earlier today and I suddenly started thinking of all these classic awesome songs that I LIVED for back when I was in my early teens.
And... even though this is not the usual sort of thing I like to post on here I really wanted to share my thoughts with you guys and reminisce a lil' bit!
These were the days of Limewire and MP3 players (whats an ipod!?) and I think I had these particular songs on repeat for months and months on end! Listening to them now takes me straight back to that time - love them!
1. Evanescence - Bring Me To Life
I remember this coming out so so clearly, it was just at the end of my last year of middle school - so like 2003 and I suddenly fell in love with this new sort of genre I hadn't listened to before! I also had their album and knew every single word!
2. City High - What Would You Do?
If you don't know every single lyric to this song - who are you? Yes they were a one hit wonder.... apart from that song they had about Caramel? ..... but these guys were the bomb and this song was THE song to play 24/7. Probably not the sort of thing to be singing about when you're like 12... but hey!
3. JoJo - Leave (Get Out)
Mmmmmm hmmmm - this gurl, this gurl! I mean not only was she in one of the greatest movies ever - Aquamarine - but she also has some god damn good songs! Her album The High Road is STILL to this day one of my favourites, everyone loved this song so much - Jojo please bring out new music soon!
4. Stacie Orrico - Stuck
If you clicked on this link then I'm sure you would have 100% been expecting this one. This was (and still is) one of my favourite songs to belt out in my bedroom "IIIIIIIII can't get out of bed today...."! If you don't know this song - I'm sorry... you missed out on an amazing time in the music industry.... listen to it now! (And don't forget the other amazing tune "There's gotta be more to life")
5. Frankee - FURB
LOL at this song - the angry reply to Eamon's tune F**k it - this was such a rebel song to blare out of your bedroom as a 14 year old. So. much. swearing.
6. Nelly & Kelly - Dilemma
If this wasn't playing at your school disco.... who were you? This was number one for soooo long and it is still such a good song. And can we all just take a moment to appreciate Kelly Rowland's solo career - Stole is one of the greatest most heartbreaking songs... ever.
7. Holly Valance - Kiss Kiss
The greatest thing to come out of Ramsey Street? MWAH .... what a tune!
8. Fat Man Scoop - Be Faithful
After Honey & Step Up came out I was a total hip-hop R'n'b honey and this song was my start of high school jam! I get so excited even now when it comes on when I'm on a night out!
9. Tipsy - J-Kwon
This is my go-to pre-drinking song. Ever, single, time. Ask my friends - they will confirm it!
10. Leann Rimes - Can't Fight The Moonlight
Coyote Ugly is up there with my favourite movies and obviously still a dream career of mine- this song is SO good - I spent many a day/night recording myself singing to this. (Don't act like you didn't do the same!)
11. Hear'Say - Pure & Simple
The first reality TV show band we all fell in love with - I mean the love didn't last long and Liberty X did so much better as a band in the end, but this song was the soundtrack to Year 8.
12. DJ Pied Piper - Do You Really Like It
Is it, is it, wicked?
13. Usher - Burn
This whole album was just life back in 2004. I forgot how much I loved this song until I started writing this post, I have been transported back to 14 year old Kirstie - and she's loving life!
14. Delta Goodrem - Born To Try
Okay I take the whole Holly thing back.... Delta was the greatest thing to come out of Ramsey Street ever. (We'll just forget about the whole Brian McFadden thing........)
15. Bowling For Soup - Girl All The Bad Guys Want
Yes.... I went through that awkward 'skater' stage - and I'm sure most of you did too! Sweatbands, baggy jeans, pop punk mix tape..... and this song was one of my favourites! If you don't know this song - get it on and start head banging now!
I think I may need to head to iTunes right now and download all of these (apart from the ones I obviously still have on CD!).

National Perfume Day : The Power Of Fragrance
It's National Perfume Day!!!
Yes guys, today marks the first ever national day dedicated to celebrating our love for scents!I had no idea this even existed until the lovely people at The Perfume Shop informed me earlier this week, which got me thinking....
Perfume is something which we all (most probably) use on a daily basis. We all have our everyday scents, our signature scent, our "going out" scents, the favourites that we save for those special occassions and of course the bottles that bring back the best memories with just one spritz.
That's what I'm going to be talking about today.
It's crazy how just the smell of something can flood our brain with memories and images of a previous time, place or feeling.
There are so many perfumes out there that remind me of a particular time or experience in my life and just a whiff of them has me reminiscing about the good (or bad) times.
Calvin Klein Escape makes me think of travelling with my best friend, Hugo Boss Deep Red reminds me of being a teenager, D&G Light Blue takes me back to 2007 and meeting my boyfriend and Britney Spears' Midnight Fantasy just gets me thinking of Christmas time!
It's crazy how all those memories in my mind can be accessed by just a scent.
But the perfume with the happiest memory for me is Vera Wang Princess.
I bought this last year at Gatwick airport whilst on my way to Florida, for my first holiday with my boyfriend. (even though we've been together 8 long years!)
Scents have always held memories so strong for me so I knew buying a new perfume for a holiday was a great way to keep those particular special memories of the trip even closer to me.
Of course it worked and now everytime I smell or wear Princess visions of Disneyworld, Universal Studios and amazing memories with my boyfriend pop up in my mind creating a huge smile on my face.
This is the power of fragrance - it really can hold the key to so many memories! I love spraying this scent as I know it will take me straight back to my Disney hotel and our adventures throughout Orlando!
Do you have any perfumes that bring back amazing memories? If you're heading on a holiday or maybe getting married or doing something life changing - why not invest in a new perfume to help remember all those memories, it really does work!

TV Shows That Made My Childhood
Recently with a certain 90s pop band reforming on Children In Need I was having a think about a certain TV show *cough*Miami 7*cough* from my childhood and suddenly a whole list of TV shows which I grew up with filled my mind!
25. The Demon Headmaster - Brilliant and terrifying, I will never forget watching these for the first time!
Shows that I would run home from school so I wouldn't miss, stay up way too late on a school night to watch and WISH that I was in!
Most of these probably were on our screens between 1997-2003ish and most of them are kids shows but there are a few other classics thrown in there too!
Let me know in the comments below which ones you watched too - I was obsessed with all of these!
1. Maid Marion And Her Merry Men - The best kids show of the 90s in my opinion, hilarious with some great songs! #pancakeday
2. Aquila - 2 boys find a invisible spaceship, one of them gets a reptile hand... ring a bell?
3. Jeopardy - This actually used to scare me! Scottish kids getting abducted by aliens in the outback and nothing making sense!
4. The Queen's Nose - Probably my first TV obsession... I called my hamster Monty just because Harmony did and who can forget Uncle Ginger?
5. Byker Grove - Soooo much better than Grange Hill, I always used to want a geordie accent!
6. Sister Sister - 'never knew how much I missed ya!'
8. Sabrina The Teenage Witch - Every girl wanted the power to change her outfit instantly!
9. Student Bodies - A mix between a high school drama and a cartoon - I loved this show about kids writing the school newpaper!
10. The Generation Game - A CUDDLY TOY!
11. Gladiators - Who didn't love this on a Saturday night, Wolf was always my favourite!
12. Blind Date - I'm sure as a kid I didn't get any of the innuendo's but I bloddy loved Cilla and her match-making skills!
13. Baywatch - Drama on a beach, can't go wrong with a bit of lifeguarding action!
14. The Moment Of Truth - Another Cilla show where a member of a family had to perform a certain skill in order to win prizes for the whole family, I loved this!
15. Albert The Fifth Musketeer - This cartoon used to crack me up I loved the song!
16. Bad Girls - The best prison drama ever (although I do love OITNB), this show was awesome!
17. Footballers Wives - Obsessed didn't explain it - this show was EVERYONE'S favourite, I'll never forget the ridiculous storylines! And you can watch them on youtube -perfect!
18. Noel's House Party - Mr. Blobby and gang always had the best Saturday nights!
19. Changing Rooms - is it bad that I used to love it when the people hated their new room?!
20. Home On Their Own - The kids version of changing rooms, siblings that turned their kitchen's into burger bars and their bedrooms into jungles, I always always soso jealous!
21. Fun House - If you have't seen this then get on youtube now, they don't make kids shows like this anymore!
22. The Crystal Maze - This was always so stressful to watch!
24. Ocean Odyssey - Do anyone of you remember this? An underwater community and a girl who lived on an island on her own and swam and talked to whales?

26. The Ghost Hunter - That cute little cockney shoe shine boy and the crazy old lady who trapped ghosts in glass jars!
27. 50/50 - Everyone wanted their school to go on this show!
28. Clarissa Explains It All - The first proper American teen show I started watching.
29. Miami 7/Hollywood 7/ LA 7- The birth of S Club 7 and my love for them. REACH.
30. Little House On The Prairie - An old classic, I used to love watching this with my Mum.
31. Animorphs - Remember the kids that could turn into animals? And th creepy slug things that crawled into people's ears... I think this is where my fear of leeches comes from!
32. Through The Dragons Eye - For years I didn't know what this was called and always tried to explain it to people! The weirdest education programme ever - that bad crow man Charn was terrifying! This was totally brilliant, probably the first show I actually remember, it first came out the year before I was born! (check it out here)
33. Noah's Ark - The polar bear and all his mates!
34. Live & Kicking - I definitely called into this show more than once.
35. Recess - One word - SCANDALOUS.
36. The Animals Of Farthing Wood - 90s kids will all know this one.
37. Eerie Indiana - This was a strange strange show but I remember really enjoying it!
38. So Little Time - Mary-Kate or Ashley, I just wanted to be one of them!
39. Bodger And Badger - MASHED POTATO.
40. The Secret World Of Alex Mack - Basically it was Bianca from 10 Things I HAte About You after a werid chemical thing.
41. The Worst Witch - Mildred Hubble and Nancy from Hollyoaks getting into trouble constantly.
42. Popstars The Rivals - Those younguns nowadays don't understand where Cheryl came from... I was totally and utterly hooked by this show - Nicola Roberts was my favourite! Girls Aloud for life! and who can forget THIS moment.
43. The New Adventures Of Superman - BBC2 totally rocked when this was on after Neighbours had finished on BBC1. Everyones favourite evening show in the 90s!
44. Dawson's Creek - Watching teenage drama that I was sometimes to young to understand was my fav hobby.
45. The Genie From Down Under - Who remember this?! I've only just thought about it, it rocked!
46. The Racoons - Best theme tune ever. Don't believe me? --- Proof.
47. The Belfry Witches - Banished from witchland these 2 teens (including the blonde one from The Office!) live in the belfry of a church, pleaseeee tell me someone else remembers this?!
48. Dick And Dom In Da Bungalow - BOGEYYYYSSSS. Massive lols. (click here)
49. Fame Academy - I can't be the only one who had a crush on David Sneddon?
50. The Wild House - Natalie Wild and her crazy family, I was so sad when this ended.
I could go on forever but I do promise I did do more with my younger years than just sit in front of a TV! What were your favs?
