November Favourites 2015

It's December!!!!!!! Hands up if you're excited! *waves hands in the air!*

I always get so excited at this time of year, I love the atmosphere on the lead upto Christmas, so much love and laughter and I'm really looking forward to bringing all the festive excitement to AYBB this month!

To start us off I'm going to be chatting all about my favourites from the past month..... not going to lie I had ALOT of favourites in November so I've narrowed them down to just a few!
Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Hand Gel
I'm in LOVE with this stuff - I've already used half the bloomin' bottle.... I really need to buy a back up! It has the amazing gorgeous sugar crush scent we all know and love and it's a product you can take anywhere and everywhere with you!

Nars Mini Duo : Orgasm & Laguna
I bought this little compact in Florida last year, I had been wanting to try both of these shades for years so when I saw them both in one easy palette I knew it was a must. I recently stumbled back upon it and have fallen back in love! The bronzer is fab for contouring and the blush gives a lovely warm winter glow, such a great purchase.

MAC Velvet Teddy
I may actually make a huge statement here. The best lipstick of all time? I cannot stop wearing this shade and I'm nearly out which is making me super sad. Such an easy everyday nude, how did I live without this for so long - this has to be my current statement lip.

No7 Lip Pencil - Melon
I have so many No7 lip liners hanging around and I forget I have them all the time! This is such a beautiful colour and it works perfectly with Velvet Teddy - just call me Kylie Jenner!

Glasses
YES! I actually have a new prescription which works - yahoooo! I don't feel as blind anymore which is fab, I'm loving being able to wear these alot more often, my old prescription was 6 years old and just doing nothing.... I'm already wanting some new frames though!

Glade Honey & Chocolate Candle
The biggest bargain candle of all time. These are always on sale somewhere and I managed to get this one for just £2 in Tesco recently.
This scent reminds me of my parents house, my Mum has a stock of these constantly in the cupboard. For the price the quality is amazing, it has a slight smell of angel perfume and it just makes me happy! Go and buy one now!!

Trek Protein Oat Flapjack
A part of me wishes I never found these. I'm on the health train still and feeling fab from it... but I'm still partial to a little something to cure my sweet tooth. I've been popping into Holland Barrett and trying out a few new bits and a couple of weeks ago one of these fell into my hands! Soooo good and dairy and gluten free which makes me happy. Obviously I only try and have one a week and try and have it just before or after exercise as I know otherwise I could start piling on the pounds haha!

Eat Natural Dark Chocolate With Macadamias and Cranberries
My.favourite.treat.ever. The gluten free versions (which I think are the same as the original) come in a pack of 4 and are slightly smaller than the usual sized bars so they make a perfect evening snack. This and a peppermint tea after dinner - perfection.

My Go-To Primers

Primers are something that have become a totally necessity to my make-up routine over the last few years! I can't imagine ever putting my foundation or concealer on now without have primed myself first!
There are a few different primers I use on a regular basis, from high end brands to cheap bargains under £5, so I thought I would share my 5 favourites with you guys!
I'll do these in price order for you guys - from cheapest to ..... not so cheap!
THE EVERYDAY BASE : Nivea Hydration Primer - £4.99
I use this stuff every single day. When my face is clean and after I've used my Liz Earle Skin Tonic I use this as my daytime moistouiser, aswell as first primer! It keeps my face hydrated and smooth without being too heavy or greasy. It works as a great base for then one of the other 4 primers mentioned below! I couldn't be without this stuff, I can't tell you how many I've been through already!

THE DRUGSTORE BEST : Maybelline's Baby Skin - £7.99
Now I have tried out both versions of this and I can't decide which one I like better! The original is a lovely clear gel which gives the skin a lovely smooth finish which helps my make-up sit perfectly. The other is alot creamier and gives the skin a lovely subtle radiant glow. One of the best drug-store primers out there I'd say.

MY NEW FAV : No7 Airbrush Away Primer - £19.50
This I actually the newest primer in my life. I picked it up back in November when it was put on offer for half price! Alongside that awesome price I had a £5 off No7 voucher (Yup this stuff is classed as skincare not make-up apparently) so I got it for literally a quarter of the price! I was so pleasantly surprised by how well this works and it has been the primer I've used for my everyday make-up near enough everyday since buying it. (So I'm glad I bought two!)

THE ULTIMATE FAVOURITE : Benefit POREfessional - £24.50
This is my ultimate favourite primer! I wish I could afford it to use it everyday, but being over £24 a tube unfortunately I'm way too skint to be buying it all the time! I've had loads of these smaller tubes, even though they are tiny they really do last! I save this for when I'm going "out out" or when I'm doing a full-face of make-up!

THE HIGH END SPLASH : Laura Mercier Foundation Primer - £29
When on holiday in Florida I decided to treat myself to a few make-up bits that either were 1. more expesive in the UK or 2. weren't sold in the UK. I've wanted to try LM for soooo long and was so happy to finally be the owner of the primer!
This is a light creamy base which I use when I feel like treating myself a bit or if my skin is feeling a bit dry, it keeps my skin hydrated and leaves my skin feeling like silk. If you have a larger budget to work with this is definitely something to try out. I cannot wait to try out the silk creme foundation.

5 Glitter Top Coats For This Christmas

It's Christmas in a matter of days and you know what that means.... glitter and sparkle everywhere!
Everywhere..... including our nails! I love a bit of sparkle a this time of year and these are some of my favourite top coats to rock!

Left to right :
INM Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat - Gold*
INM Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat - Silver*
Rimmel Glitter Bomb - Midnight Mistletoe
No7 Stay Perfect Nail Polish - In The Stars
Barry M Nail Paint Limited Edition 2013
I love top coats like these are they go with so many shades and you can just wear them on their own and I find it so much wearable at this time of year!  (although they are a totally nightmare to photograph when you on't have the fanciest of equipment!)
Every single year I always buy more like these, I'm a sucker for sparkle and so many brands bring out new ones each Christmas I just can't help myself!
The first two coats are the northern lights duo which are fab! These were sent to be recently by INM and they are great! A really subtle but gorgeous sheen which give a great sparkle in the light! They make my crap nails look a little bit more sassy and with painting my nails alot less recently in an attempt to help them grow, this coat is great to keep them strong and shiny!
I've been trying them over the top of loads of shades and they definitely look the best over a black! Love love love, but I still can't choose between them which one is my fav - keep your eyes on my twitter/insta for more photos! More info - here ... gold/silver.

Middle coat is a new one in my collection which I actually received from Emma in my Christmas Beauty Box Swap! If Christmas could be summed up in a a nail polish this Rimmel beaut would be it really! Red and green glitter in a nutshell - I was so chuffed to see this in the box as I hadn't actually seen this one before in the shops!

Next is the No7 polish in shade 'In The Stars' - this is a lovely iridescent glitter, so perfect on it's own or maybe just on one finger (you know you still love that look!)

Last is a Barry M polish from last year which I still wear all the time - no matter no time of year it is! Barry M always have great Limited Edition glitter shades at Christmas time, usually one or two for both Superdrug and Boots! This is a classic silver glitter, perfect for everyones collection!

One of my New Year's resolutions is too keep better care of my nails, having extensions for so long did wreck them a bit, so strong, long nails here I come!

Beauty Haul - October 2014

Hh dear.... I've been let loose with the bank card again!
I always get the urge to splurge and this month I have succumb to that ever-so-present beauty blogger itch and treated myself to a few new bits and bobs!
Some of my favs re-purchased and some brand spanking new things I will no doubt fall in love with aswell and I thought why not let you girls and boys have a cheeky peek inside my shopping bags!
Sorry for the pretty pants photos - it is my mission of the next few months to really try and improve my blog's content and photography, hopefully you will be able to tell the difference soon!
First up the make-up.... those bits I expect you are all probably most interesed in! I'll start at the top and work my way along!

Nivea Fruity Shine Lipbalm in Watermelon
Nivea is easily one of my favourite bargain drugstore brands so when I spot a newbie enter their collection I have to get my hands on it! Lip balm's are a must for this time of year and although I already own about 42 million I couldn't help but be sold buy the words "new" and "watermelon" - this smells lovely and has a lovely pink tint to it aswell!

No7 Presicion Lips Pencil in Raspberry
It came to my attention that although I wear alot of fuchsia's and bright pink lip colours I don't have a lip liner that goes with them and with the classic £3 off voucher for No7 this seemed like the perfect bargain. It's a gorgeous pink which blends with some of my favourite lipsticks so well!

Rimmel's Eyebrow Pencil in Hazel
This is a must for me - use it daily and have probably gone through about 203 in my lifetime so far.

Seventeen Define & Conquer
A newbie from the high street, Seventeen have bought out a contour kit yippee! and although I'm totally happy with my one from Sleek I couldn't just walk past this and not pick it up! A gorgeous bronzer alongside a shimmering highlight, I know that I will get so much use out of this!

Boujouis' Healthy Mix Foundation -Vanilla
Another repurchase - this is one of my go-to everyday foundations, I'm near enough always wearing either this or L'oreal's True Match.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick - Ole Flamingo!
Seeing as Bourjois was on two for £14 I had to pick up something else (obviously) and I went for this little beauty! Having seen sooo many people posting selfies with a gorgeous lip colour and soooo many times seeing it is this shade I finally decided to grab it! It's a lovely matt pink which I know I'm going to be wearing alot over this next season.

Seventeen Phwaorr Paints - Medium
You've seen been rave about this countless times! The best concealer I've ever used I go through sooo many - I've even got my Mum using it now!

Seventeen Quicker Slicker Nail Polishes x 3
It was about time I purchased some new darker nail polishes! I recently did a huge clearout out of products and things and lots of nail polishes didn't make the cut so it was time to stock up on some newbies!

Natural Collection Lipglosses - Vanilla & Turkish Delight
I like having cheap lipglosses in my bag especially for work days, these smell amazing and were only £3.50 for 2!
Now a few skincare buys - which I definitely probably didn't need but you know what us girls are like...you can never have enough!

Nivea Soft Cream
I got through so much of this stuff! I use it every evening and swear by it!

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel
This was actually on clearance at only £5.50 so I grabbed it! It is for oily sensitive skin which is perfect for me at the moment as my skin as taken a greasy turn for the worse, I'm really looking forward to trying ti out as I have heard such great things about this brand!

Aveeno Skin Relief Lotion
This stuff has become a total life saver so it was time I stocked up on some more! This is amazing for dry/irritated skin I highly recommended it!

Boots Simply Sensitive Deep Cleansing Mask
The first of the face mask's now and one that I haven't tried before! I am obsessed with trying out new ones and this was so cheap I thought it it was worth a go! Something that will last more than one use aswell!

Montagne Jeunesse Face Masks
This will come as no surprise to you regular readers - I buy these like they are going out of fashion and as they were on 3 for 2 in Boots I grabbed a handful! I got 3 of the creamy coconut, 1 hot sauna, 1 hot chocolate and 1 nut oil! All have been reviewed on here before so if you want to read more then just search them in the search bar on the right!
Ultimate Blends The Sleek Restorer Shampoo & Conditioner
I've bought these before and loved them, this new collection from Garnier is doing so so well, I've seen everyone picking them up! I love the scent, coconut is the best for me when it comes to haircare! The Sleek Restorer really does work aswell making my hair smoother and frizz-free... for once!

Ultimate Blends The Sleek Perfector Oil
After seeing VelvetGhost's September favs video and watching her rave about this stuff I decided to give it a go myself! I have used it so much already and am LOVING it - I'm sure it will be mentioned again on here soon!

Boots Coconut & Almond Intensive Hair Mask
More coconut goodness! These are the best value for money hair mask's ever! £1.99 each or 2 for £2 on offer - I bought 4! I use this a couple of times a week and it leaves my hair so shiny and smelling great!

Moroccanoil Treatment Oil
Probably my favourite oil I've ever tried, it is a tad more expensive than others I have but I only use it after I've washed my hair so maybe 3 times a week!
Some random bits now!

Venus Pro Skin Sensitive Razor
BORINGGGG I bought a new razor coz' it was half price... nothing more to say haha!

Zoella Blissful Mistful
Yayyyy I finally got some Zoella Beauty bits! Keep your eyes peeled as these are going to have their very own post very soon!

Zoella Let's Glow Candle
I've nearly burned this whole thing already! It's so cute and smells lovely! Like I said above... a full review will be coming soon!

Oral B 3D White Replacement Heads
Well... we all need to brush our teeth don't we!

No7 Instant Radiance Bronzing Highlighter Review

I am like a magpie when it comes to highlighters and products that aim to give your skin a pretty glow and shimmer!
I had seen these online and thought they looked pretty but when I finally saw them in 'real life' I couln't resist picking one up!
There were a few too choose from at the no7 stand but I went for the bronzing highlighter, just because I have a lot of pinky shaded highlighters already so I thought this would be a good product to ad to my collection of goodies!

The instant radiance highlighter comes in a cute little bullet with a twist bottom (so this should last me a while!)
I love that this is a stick, it's so easy to sweep on and is such a handy little size to add to my make-up bag.
I have been putting this on my cheeks bones, brow bones and down the centre of my nose (in the hope of making it look slightly smaller) it is really light and creamy which makes it easy to blend in!
It has a lovely pigmentation which makes it easy to get a gorgeous dewy, fresh effect without using alot of product.
Another holy grail highlighter for me to rant and rave about....ahhh it's so pretty I definitely need to buy the other versions now - I can never just stick to one can I?
This highlighter is priced at £9.95 but I bought it with a No7 voucher (£3 off!) and they do these offers alot so keeps your eyes out for those!

Mini Boots Haul

Time for a little haul ladies! These are a few little bits I've picked up from Boots in the last week or so....
Some of these bits are daily essentials and others are just a little treat that I snapped up because they were on offer!
I'm still on a slight spending ban due to my holiday so I can't quite splash out like I used too on beauty products but still... a girl has to buy some things right?
First up are these bits from the Boots Essentials range. If you've been reading my blog for a while you would have seen a few products from this range mentioned before (3 minute mask & the eye gel).
Because of the success I had with those when I saw these on offer 3 for £3 I thought I why not pick up some more of these cucumber beauties to try out!
I've gone for the scrub, facial toner (because I've run out of my Liz Earle Skin Tonic) and the face wipes... which actually I just find handy for using when I'm taking blog photos of products, getting lipstick swatches off etc!
Next we have some everyday essentials. The No7 hot cloth cleaser was in my most recent favourites post. I love it so much I had to invest in another bottle and seeing as I have a £5 off No7 voucher it seemed like the perfect time.
I've been loving using sensitive shower gel's recently, they seem to have really helped my skin and dry patches.... and they are alot cheaper than buying Soap & Glory every month! 99p for this Nivea one.... I love love love everything Nivea!
Lastly the new Aquafresh HD toothpaste - I try out new toothpastes monthly and have been wanting to give this new one a go for a few months now and it was on offer so... hello and welcome to my home toothpaste!
NOT pictured - Fab pink comb.... mine seem to have all gone missing so had to grab a new one - and what better than bright pink! Love using these to backcomb at the roots and give my hair a bit of oomph!
Summer is here and so is the new Barry M collections!
I had been looking at this Matte shade for days umming and arring whether to buy it and I finally caved in and popped it in my basket! This is Waikiki and it is a Matte lime green, perfect for summer and perfect to wear with a hot tan! Can't wait to try it out!
Lastly it's an aray of Montagne Jeunesse face masks! Over the last couple of months I've been going sachet to sachet of this brand trying out everything I can and when I saw these were just £3 for 4 I had to pick up some newbies!
I went for .... Hot Spring Sauna, Nut Oil Masque, Black Seaweed Peel Off Masque & Hot Chocolate. I'm going to try one of these once a week ..... and I'm sure I'll be letting you all know how I get on!

What have you all picked up in Boots recently?

3 Fab Lipstick Dupes

I love a good dupe when it comes to make-up, but then again who doesn't?!
Knowing that you can get nearly the same fab product but for a fraction of the product's price tag is one good feeling!
I'm always reading and looking out for other bloggers dupe posts so I thought it was about time that I started sharing with you guys dupe that's I have discovered over the last few years!
First up is three lipsticks that I seem to have copycats of - I love higher end and drugstore lipsticks just as much as each other... just FYI!
Lipstick Dupe #1
Mac Girl About Town (£15) VS Rimmel Moisture Renew Lily Extase (6.49)
Saving : £8.51
If you've read my blog before you may know that Girl About Town is my favourite Mac lipstick that I own!
I am such a fuchsia lover and it's always a go-to shade for me! It wasn't until recently that I noticed stumbled across this lipstick by Rimmel in my collection and saw how similar they are!
I know that the Moisture Renew lipsticks have had a bit of a make-over recently so I'm not sure if this shade is still available but if you can get your hands on it I highly recommend you do! They are both super hydrating, pigmented and have a great long-lasting finish.
Lipstick Dupe #2
No7 Stay Perfect Gay Geranium (£9.75) VS Seventeen Stay Pout Make An Entrance (£4.49)
Saving : £5.26
These are both Boots brands and I think most people see Seventeen as the "younger, hipper" version of the formal No7.
Even the name of the products are similar, the only main difference being the price! The Seventeen lipstick is less than half the price of the No7 and for me the quality is totally equal! The colours of both are stunning and so stand out, although the Stay Pout is only very slightly darker than the Stay Perfect!
Lipstick Dupe #3
Mac Matte Lipstick Candy Yum-Yum (£15) VS Barry M Lip Paint 62 (£4.49)
Saving : £10.51
This is probably the best dupe I've found so far! I have been buying Barry M lipsticks and glosses for years and really do swear by them! The colours are amazing and they are still some of the cheapest on the drugstore market!
Of course I LOVE my Mac lipstick but if you aren't up for paying the price of mac or just wanted to see weather a colour this vibrant would suit you before splashing out the Barry M alternative is totally and utterly perfect!
So there's 3 fab dupes for you all - let me know weather you like this type of post and if you would like to see anymore!

May Favourites

My monthly favourite's are here again! It's my second May favourites - can you believe it? It feels like yesterday I was writing all about my loves for May 2013 and here we are 1 year later and I'm sat here doing exactly the same thing!
So here they are - those things I've been obsessing over for the past month! (no make-up this month... which feels seriously weird!)
Garnier Ultimate Blends The Sleek Restorer Collection
If you have't heard of the new ultimate blends range from Garnier - then you've probably been chilling on the moon or something because I'm sure everyone more or less everyone have been trying them out!
I picked up the shampoo and conditioner for 2 reasons - 1. they were half price and 2. they smell amazing!
I am all about smells and if I think something smells good - I will buy it.
These products were working so well on my hair that I picked up the 1 minute treatment aswell! They leave my hair looking smoother and smelling amazing - plus they were a bargain! I've gone through a bottle of each now so it's time to invest in some more - I may try out some of the different collections too!
Monthly Mags - Cosmo, Company, Elle & Glamour
Yes... I may have gone a little overboard with mags this month - 4 is definitely a bit unnecessary .... but there were so many great freebies I couldn't say no!
I love being able to sit down at home or at work and flick through a good mag and these this month have been amazing!
Not only did I get some great free gifts including Benefit's porefessional, but there were lots of a great articles, lots of looks I want to steal and lots of clothes I need to buy!

No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser
After running out of my Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish (one of my holy grail products) this month and being a bit strapped for cash I decided to give this baby a go.
I've had this sat around for a while - I bought it with a No7 voucher a couple of months ago because it bought it down to half the usual price (barry bargain) - and thought now was a good a time as ever to give it a whirl!
I wasn't expecting it to be as good as my beloved cleanse and polish but this stuff gave me a pleasant surprise! It took off my make-up just as well as my C&P, felt light and creamy and have a nice smell about it. The only thing that wasn't great was the muslin cloth along side it - it wasn't as soft and gentle as the nice Liz Earle ones but still worked a charm!
I have been using this every night now and still have so much of the 200ml product left - it is definitely going to last a good while!
Nivea Soft 75ml Tube
This product has been a god send to me. I use it daily and have rambled on about it for the past year! I normally buy a big tub of this stuff but that isn't always that handy ..... so hello to this cute little 75ml tube! This is perfect for my handbag and keeping next to my bedside table!
I use this every night before I go to sleep and it works so well for my skin! I've tried so many night creams recently and they all seem to bring me out in spots (which is not like my skin at all) I love the scent and can't imagine anything taking this stuff's place anytime soon! Superdrug have these at half price at the moment too so they are only £1.24!!
Iggy Azalea - The New Classic Album
Jesus, I had been waiting for this album for what seemed like forever!
About a year ago I first heard Iggy's song 'Work' - and since then I have been praising and bowing down to this woman! This album has been on repeat this whole month and I love love love it! Favourite songs have to be Work, Black Widow, F*** Love & Fancy.
AND obviously I am obsessed with Problem by Ariana Grande & Iggy - two of my favourite artists ever - best song of the year!
