Wise Words On A Wednesday #3

Here we are again, another mid-week post from me! Today I wanted to share with you one of my favourite quotes! 

“Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So, throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, dream, discover” — Mark Twain

Now I really do love alot of the famous quotes from Mark Twain but this one definitely speaks to me the most. The part which says "Sail away from the safe harbour" is quite personal as it reminds me alot of myself and where I am from (being surrounded by water and all) and does make me remember that I need to go out and see the world, not stay put here! (this is also up there on my list of tattoo ideas) Like they say, travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer so go -  'Explore, Dream, Discover!'

Wise Words On a Wednesday #2

Time for week 2 of me sharing, what I like to think are, some wise words. This quote I noticed last week on twitter and immediately fell in love ( which also meant I had to RT, favourite and write on my facebook... yeah I like it.)

"Having a dream you don't pursue is like buying an ice-cream cone and watching it melt all over your hand." - Frank Papasso

I really like this as to me it means if you have a dream the opportunity is always there for you to pursue it and therefore have a chance at being successful with it (minus my dream of being a popstar as apparently I'm not that vocally gifted). Otherwise it's going to be there anyway and just slowly slip away because you didn't try.

I like to think that I've taken this on board and any dreams and aspirations I may have I now think I might aswell have a go in pursuing them, whats the worst that could happen?

Wise Words on a Wednesday

“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.” - Dr. Seuss

I am the biggest fan of Dr. Seuss and like to live by his many amazing quotes. This is one of my favourites and so I thought it would be perfect for my first 'Wise words Wednesday'.

The reason I like this quote is that as obvious as it is, it is ,as it says, - very TRUE. There is no-one else in the world that can be you so we should all learn just to be ourselves!

 Alot of the time we'll look and someone else and think "I wish I had that", "I wish I did that" and you may sit and look at someone and just think about wanting their small nose or maybe their thick hair but I can guarantee that those people would look straight back at you and do exactly the same thing. 

As women we criticise ourselves alot.... and I mean alot.

 I am hugely guilty of it and am a serial moaner about more or less every single little thing about myself BUT at the end of the day I am me and always will be... so it's tough! 

What we all need to remember is that we are who we are and we should be proud of it, because no-one else can be you!
