Glasses Direct : London Retro Highgate Frames

Why hello there - yes, that's me wearing glasses, this is my daily look now you know!
Working on a laptop Monday-Friday for my new job it is now essential that I wear glasses.  I'm not actually sure how I'd cope without them which is crazy as I've only been wearing this prescription for a few months - it definitely helps with my constant screen staring.

These frames are from London Retro - you may remember me talking about them before in previous posts - I'm such a fan of their style.
These are 'Highgate' frames which are a deeper and squarer version of the Metropolitan frames - which I have already (see here) - but I have to see I definitely think I prefer these.
I picked the black shade as I thought it was probably a little better for work but I seriously love the look of tortoise shell and purple version too, a bit funkier than plain old black!

I am obsessed with these - by far my favourite glasses so far, I love the thinner arms and the larger frames, they are great for my face shape.
A little tip for you all aswell...... if you're not sure which frames are going to suit you best (it can be sooo tricky ordering online!) you can actually have a FREE home trial with Glasses Direct. Pick 4 styles, get them sent to you, choose your favourite and bobs your uncle - you've found your perfect frame without all the backwards and forwards! So, so easy!

Hands up if you're glasses wearer?! What's your favourite frame style?

Collection #ConcealAndLightLikeAPro Palette

So, Kirstie-the-make-up-buyer has been on a serious mission these past two weeks.
Yay for the blog.... not yay for the bank!

I'm not sure what has come over me but I've just been in the mood to treat myself to a few new bits, I think it was the huge clearout I had... it made me feel like I deserve something new, which kind of defeats the object doesn't it?

I'd seen a few girlies talking about this new palette on Twitter so I thought why not try it out for myself - plus it's currently on offer at Boots for only £3.99 instead of the usual £5.99 which persuaded me even more.

This palette contains 8 cream concealers! Yes - 8! Although I'm sure you have realised that from the photo above!

The 4 concealer shades are to cover blemishes and imperfections - obvs - I've been using the second one in on the top row for any spots I have - thankfully... that hasn't been too many and I've actually been using the second shade in on the bottom row as a contouring shade, it's great!

The yellow is fantastic for brightening dark circles under the eyes which is something i have seriously been struggling with so far this year. I'm sure the older I get the worse they are getting - or maybe I'm just sleeping less, who knows?!

The green shade has to be my favourite, made for correcting redness in the skin this is a life-saver for me.
Around my nose, my eyelids and sometimes under my eyes - this works wonders for toning down and hiding those problems areas that don't ever seem to want to go away.

The highlighter is a lovely ivory pink shade great for using down the nose, under the brows and on your cupid's bow!

Last but not least is the purple (lilac) shade which is used to revive dull skin - I haven't had the need to use this yet but like the other colours it is really light and creamy and blends in easily.
All in all I think this is a steal - you'd pay £5.99 for any one of these on their own, so getting 8 for that price is a bargain! If you want to give it a go head to Boots quick while it's still on offer and save yourself £2!

MAC Viva Glam Ariana Grande Lipstick

When I heard the next Viva Glam celebrity was going to be Ariana Grande I knew I was going to invest. It didn't matter what shade it was - I was interested. (any excuse to buy another MAC product really....)
I'll admit it - I'm a fan girl! I love Ari, she's a babe!

Anyway.... the collection was released and at first I was actually a little unsure whether to take the plunge and buy it, but because it looked so awesome on Ari (Yup, we are so close I can call her that...) so I decided that it was a must and my life wouldn't be complete without it.

This Viva Glam isn't like any of the others I've had before, I'm used to the fun girly pinks of Nicki and Miley but this lippy is super dark - a gorgeous matte plum in fact!

Don't be alarmed buy the shade in the tube - it isn't as scary once applied!
The shade is gorgeous, I'm in love and so,so pleased I decided to buy it.
The forumla is surprisingly moisturising for a matte shade - a little like the feel of Velvet Teddy (my number one lippy).

I highly recommend you pair this with a liner though - it's too easy to make a mess of it .... as I may have found out!

I have a liner slightly lighter which isn't overly great with it so I think I'll be investing in one a bit darker to perfect the look!

I cannot wait to wear this on a night out - is it sad I kind of want to base my outfit around it?!

Have any of you tried it out yet?! You can check it out - here.

February Favourites 2015

March is here - yes, we are already into the third month of 2015... I'm as shocked as you are!
With that in mind, it's about time I shared with you my February favourites for this year!
Lee Stafford Ubuntu Oils Heat Protection Spray
I've actually just finished this bottle ... and am totally gutted to be out! I love LS products and the ubuntu oils scent is awesome. This leaves my real hair and my extensions smelling lovely and feeling soft even after abusing it with heat!

Bleach London Reincarnation Mask
Now I think you all probably could have guessed that this would make an experience in my favourites - I've raved and raved about it this past month! I managed to get one for only £3 from Boots (half bloomin price!) which was awesome! And once I'd used it and fallen in love I went straight back and got 3 more!
This stuff is a life saver for dry, bleached, over-processed hair - it has changed my for the better and I will continue to use it until they stop making it!

Bleach London Silver Shampoo & Conditioner
Alongside the mask I managed to get these 2 half price aswell - and it was 3 for 2 so I only had to pay for 2 of them... bargain central! I have used silver shampoo's before but have always been nervous about leaving them on too long! I have been using these two around once a week for the past month and I can definitely see the difference, plus the conditioner makes my hair feel so nice!

Mac Lip Liner - Hip n Happy
This was a birthday present from one of my bestests and I'm in love! It is actually my first Mac lip liner (although I have just purchased another!) I love the baby pink shade and the quality is awesome.... why don't I owe them all?!

Bourjois Velvet Matte Lip Colour in Nude-ist
Hands down my most worn lip colour of the month. This nude is perfect, I love the velvet matte formula, they stay on for hours and don't budge an inch!
Taylor Swift Incredible Things
Another lovely birthday present, this time from my Mum & Dad! We all know I'm a huge T-Swiz fan and so her new perfume was on the top of my wishlist! I love it and have been wearing it everyday that I'm not at work!

Remington Waving Wand
Alot of people on twitter and facebook ask me how I curl my hair. This thing is the answer! I have the babyliss version too! It has a squared barrell instead of the usual round and works so well! Hold it upsidedown and wrap your hair around it away from your face to create the perfect waves and curls!

Simple Facial Toner! Keeping my
This has been a great cheap replacement for my Liz Earle Skin Tonic for the month and it's been great! Funky fresh skin every morning and night.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
Like the rest of the beauty obsessed world I got this with last months Elle magazine! I have been so impressed with it and think I may have to invest in the full sized product!

Rodial Contouring Powder
This stuff is beautiful! I have been using it daily to create sharper cheek bones and give myself a bit of colour (I'm so pale right now!!) and I LOVE it.
Nutella
Now alot of us have been discussing Nutella on Twitter over the past few weeks haha! My boyfriend thought I was the only person who ate it with a spoon.... oh how wrong he was! You can't not like this stuff right?

My Kindle
I have been making a conscious effort the last few weeks to get earlier nights and read alot more before instead instead of sitting on my laptop or phone! It's been so nice to get into a book again and I'm hoping to keep it up!

Canon 700D
Yay! I finally have a DSLR! I'm so so pleased with it and have been loving playing around with it over the last few weeks!

Clipper's Green Tea With Peppermint
Now.... I love green tea.... and I love peppermint! Together they are a winner!

Popchips
I was sent a box of these to try at the beginning of the month and they have become a welcome snack in my cupboards! They've been on offer at Tesco  only 89p for a huge bag! I LOVE them! I don't really eat crisps and these are the perfect alternative... I think BBQ are my favourite!

Pinterest
Yes.... my obsession is real. I cannot get off the app - I love it so much. Shame on me for not using it sooner!

What have you been loving this month?

This episode was genius! I love Modern Family, it neverfails to make me laugh and this week's episode was not different! Filmed all via facebook this 20 minute episode was so so clever... and a great advert for Apple haha!

EOS Blueberry & Acai Lipbalm
I feel like I've talked about these loads recently. I found this one hiding when I was tidying up the other day and was so happy to see it! It smells yummy and helps my chapped lips out no-end!

Vampire Academy Book 2 - Frostbite
I have finally got back into reading and I've picked up where I left off! Hopefully I'll be finished with this series before the summer.... there is 6 of them you know! I have soooo many books on my wishlist at the moment!

My New Bed & Early Nights
Finally we have our new bed! We had a bit of a pickle with it all.... (someone may have ordered the wrong sized bed.... although that someone was not me!) ... but after nearly 2 weeks of sleeping on a mattress on the floor we have a bed - and I am so happy! This week I've also been going to bed super early which has made me feel alot brighter!

E45 Overnight Hand Cream
You may have seen this on here earlier this week! This stuff has been a lifesaver for my dry, rashy hands - I'm so impressed!

Margot Robbie
Ultimare girl crush alert! After watching The Wolf Of Wall Street once again last weekend (one of my favourite films ever), seeing Margot at the Oscars and all the Focus premiere's I have fallen in love again! She is amazing... and making me want to cut my hair.... again! #flawless

The best way to relax and give yourself a beauty treatment for under £1! I love these things, I have a draw full of them and this past week I have dipped into it more than once! Hot Chocolate & Hot Spring Sauna are my favourites!

PLL.... the build up the the Big ReveAl
I love this show so much, every single week I get more and more into it and I am waiting so patiently for the big reveal next month..... only 4 more weeks girls and boys! Who do you think it is?

Beauty Wishlist : February

Tangle Teezer Blowdry Brush
For years now I have been a fan of the Tangle Teezer - I own 3 and don't know what I'd do without them! So seeing a new product from them has got me very excited! A blowdry brush - finally! It's not the easiest thing trying to blowdry your hair with a brush that doesn't have a handle so I cannot wait to get my hands on one of these!

Burberry Rain Or Shine Blush
I've never been much of a blush person, I've said this many times on here before! But after trying a few products from Make-up Revloution and buying Nars' Orgasm - I am slowly learning to love them! This looks like such a pretty shade for spring, perfect for simple, everyday looks.

Soap & Glory Archery D-I-Y Brow Bar
My HD Brow palette is slowly starting to run out so I have been checking out what's out there on the highstreet to try and this newbie from S&G caught my eye! 4 shades and 2 small angled brushes for only like £12? I need this!

Chloe Love Story Perfume
I tried this out in Debenhams a few weeks ago and fell in LOVE (excuse the pun!).

Smashbox Primer Water
Well this a new one isn't it! I love, love, love the sound of this stuff! I'm a big fan of Smashbox' primers so I'd happily fork out to try this out.

Embroyloisse Gold Cream
Hailed the miracle from many a celeb this stuff is now available from Boots - I've heard alot of goo things about it and have gone to purchase a couple of times now.... have any of you tried it?

Fleur De Force The Glam Guide
Out of all the youtubers out there Fleur is one that I have been watching constantly for years now. She seems genuine, clever and has a real gift for what she does! I feel like this book would be right up my street - it seems mature and full of useful tips and information. I think I'll be popping this in my amazing basket on payday!

Zoeva Rose Golden Eyeshadow Palette
What can I say? This is beautiful and I want it.

Neal & Wolf SILK Blow-dry Lotion
I've been using a few products from this brands for months now and I'm kind of obsessed with the scent - I would really love to try out some more from them and this is definitely the next one on my wishlist.

EOS Summer Fruits
I cannot get enough of the 2 I already own and summer fruits sounds like a lovely scent to have for the upcoming spring months!

Whats on your wishlist right now?

This Week I'm Loving... #8

Eastenders
I mean this has just got to be in this post! I think if you follow me on twitter you have kind of gathered that I have been obsessed with Eastenders this week! (I do apologise if you follow me on twitter I am aware of my tweeting problem......) #HowsAdam?
Anyway.... It was only bloody Bobby! After reading a few suggestions it was him over the last few weeks I wasn't was surprised as I hoped I would be when the killer was revealed!
The acting on Fridays episode was so incredible - you would never think that was live! A huge well done and congrats to Adam, Laurie, Ben and Mimi!
I can't wait for all the upcoming storylines.... Is dean dead? Where the hell has Kathy been?!

YouTube
Yay! I have finally started filming videos again! I still need to get some form of editing software to make them slightly more exciting but I have really been enjoying filming and I will be uploading more really soon :)
I would love it if you guys would subscribe to my channel - here! It's been so lovely having your nice comments and support both on twitter and on the videos themselves so thank you you lovely people!

MAC Viva Glam Miley Lipstick
Wooo a new mac lipstick in my life! (This doesn't happen alot!) As soon as I saw this was available in the UK I ordered it straight away! It is a gorgeous fuchsia shade of pink (my fav kind of lipstick colour you know!) and the formula is just perfect! Thick and creamy, this amplified lippy is everything I look for!

Nutri-Grain Breakfast Bakes
Formally known as Elevenses these are so so yummy - it's like eating cake but you don't feel as bad about it! The raisin ones are my favs!
Mememe Flawless Concealer
I've been using this loads over the past week! Normally I use my pwoharr paint concealer from seventeen but I felt like changing things up and this was the first replacement I decided to try out! It is light and creamy and blends in so easily, if you need something not as heavy duty but something that still give good coverage I highly recommend this!

Taylor Swift Style Video
My girl Tay has released a new video! I love Style - it's one of my favourites from the album and I really like Taylor's cool mature video to go alongside it! Bravo Swift!

Simple Toner
You may have seen this in my Boots haul a couple of weeks ago, I have been using this instead of forking out for my usual Liz Earle Skin Tonic! It leaves my skin feels fresh and clean, a bargain alternative!

Blistex Lip Brilliance
My saviour of dry lips this week has been this tinted balm from Blistex! It is perfect for everyday at work, it works so well on chapped lips and gives a little colour too without being too OTT for my boring retail job! Plus it smells good too!

Bleach London Silver Shampoo & Conditioner
I have been loving these since getting my hair dyed blonder! I am a bit of a wimp with these products though as I'm scared I'm going to leave them in too long and end up with purple hair (although it would be cool I don't think work would be impressed!) I've used toning products like these before and I found they made my hair feel super dry but with the conditioner from Bleach these actually make my hair feel really soft!

Pure Beauty Magazine Jen/Feb 2015
Super exciting news (which you probably saw on Insta or Twitter like a week ago) - I'm in this month's Pure Beauty magazine! I'm so excited and grateful to be including in such a fab and informative mag AND I'm in it right next to my beautiful buddy Becky!! I'm so glad my work have let me take it home to keep - tis' one to show my mother!

OOTD : Monochrome Monday

Lipstick : Mac Rebel
Hat : H&m
Faux Leather Jacket : New Look
Dogtooth Swing Dress* : The Fashion Bible
Tassle Bag : H&m
Chelsea Boots : ASOS

Black and white are probably the easiest colours out there to wear. When I'm getting dressed in the morning and am at a complete loss as to what to chuck on, 9 times out 10 I will head to something black or black and white. It's easy to wear and can look super glam even if you've put zero effort in!
I am lovely my black accesories at the moment - this jacket, hat and bag are all new in my life so I'm loving every opportunity I get to pop them on!
The dress is perfect for a nice daytime outfit, swing dresses have a special place in my heart - they look cute whilst hiding a multitude of bits and bobs that I am conscious of! I love the pattern on this one from The Fashion Bible, it's perfect for every season and I can see me getting alot of wear out of it this coming year!

February Favourites

So that's one of my favourite month's been and gone - and what a great one it was!
Taylor Swift concert, a fabulous 24th birthday, great times with friends and a cheeky shopping trip to top it off! I have had such a great month and even managed to get 23 blog posts up (not sure how I managed that!)
And with another month done comes another favourites post! All those things I have been lovely in those 28 days that are February!
First up .... a Lee Stafford product! What a surprise! We all know I love myself a bit of Lee and this is a product I've owned for ages! This month I have been loving it, with my birthday and a few other occasions I have been using heat more than usual so this Flat Iron Protection Shine Mist has been used more than a few times!
I always use a heat protectant and this has got to be my favourite that I've tried out! Not only does it smell yummy but it gives a great shine and finish when drying and styling my hair - top marks LS!
A concealer now and this is the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer! This is actually the first highlighting concealer I've tried and I'm really enjoying it!
I've been using this on days where my bags aren't too bad so I can get away with not using my Seventeen Pwhoarr paint! I love the twist action bottom to help dispense the product and it blends into the skin really well! Fab new discovery for me!
Next is the February Issue of Teen Vogue! I was lucky enough to be sent this by my wonderful friend Meghan who lives in Florida (and it arrived of my birthday which was even more exciting!). She knows how much I love Ariana Grande so managed to get me a copy of this and sent it over that big old pond- she's so thoughtful!
I know it's called "teen" vogue but I couldn't care less - I'm 24 and still love it! Some great fashion and beauty features and of course I love the interview and pictorial with Ariana - she is such a babe!
No7's Eyeshadow Primer/Base. I got this stuff a while ago when there was  No7 free gift deal on (I did do a post on it!) but it is just only recently I have turned to using this alot!
I love the pinky shade it gives the lids and it works so well as a primer/base - especially as I have been using the pink based shades in my Stila palette alot recently!
This is one of the lipsticks I got for my birthday.... and I am a tiny bit obsessed! Mac's Girl About Town has got to be my favourite pink lipstick I own! The colour is the perfect pink for me , it is fab! I did a whole post on this beauty, so if you want to see and/or read more I will link it right... about... - here!
I am always looking for new show to get into especially on Netflix (I try to make it worth that £6 I pay a month!)
I'd been looking at starting Orange Is The New Black for a while and when I had a few days off work together this month and with the weather being pants I thought I would go ahead and check out the Pilot episode!
It is safe to say that after that first episode I was totally and utterly hooked! I normally know within the first episode or two weather I'm going to enjoy a TV series and this was a definite thumbs up from me!
I actually ended up finishing season 1 in less than 3 days! I know... some major commitment right there but I just couldn't stop! I love this show - it is funny, shocking and really well written - I literally cannot wait for season 2 to come out later on this year!

Have you tried any of these products or watched OITNB?! Any TV shows on Netflix I need to watch? I'm currently watching The Killing!
