Do you have a list of products that have been on your wishlist for years but you've never seemed to end up buying them? Mine is as long as my arm but this year I'm determined to try out some of those classics I've been putting off trying for so long for no apparent reason - this being the first. Lightscapade is a product I have seen and heard so much about for years but for some reason I have just never decided to taken the plunge and buy it ..... I'm sure this has mainly been down to the fact it's £24 - a little expensive for just a little treat. But I was feeling a little excitable at the end of last month and seeing as my old job randomly paid me some money they owed me I thought 'Why not blow half of it in MAC?' - so that is exactly what I did. This powder is gorgeous. Lightscapade is a 'soft candlelight beige with multidimensional shimmer' - I have been using this everyday as a quick finishing touch to my ever-growing daily routine and I cannot believe I've lived without it for so long! The range of colours help make sure your skin tone stays even and just a light dusting all over creates an envious radiant glow. It can also be used as a highlighter, perfect for the high-points of the face - the forehead, nose, cheekbones and brow bone. If you are looking for a luxurious but natural looking product then look no further - I am SO pleased with this purchase.... onto the next product on that list!
I have been so excited to get on my laptop and write this post for weeks now and now it's finally time - wahoooo!
It was back in October when Jurlique first started talking Christmas to me, I blooming love Christmas and the lovely lot at Jurlique alike so to be asked to join in with a fabulous December campaign of their's was so exciting!
I've used Jurlique products before (you may remember this post) and, of course, fell in love with them straight away! They are one of those 'how have I not tried anything from these people before' kind of brands!
Anyway back to what this is all about! This year Jurlique have created some amazing goodies and gift sets full of their best selling products and with Christmas just around the corner, it's all about giving the gift of glow!
Know someone who's a skincare addict? Want to treat a loved one? Or maybe fancy something new for yourself? Then keep on reading!
For 12 days this month a different blogger is going to be sharing with you one of Jurlique's fabulous sets .... and I, Kirstie, here at A Yellow Brick Brick am Day number 2!
So sit back, relax and check out the Aromatic Rose Duo!
The rose range was what I tried before from Jurlique and I love love loved it so I had high hopes for this lovely duo!
The set comes in a lovely gift box and as you can see from photos at the top, came beautifully wrapped! I love the little touches like from companies, especially if you are giving i to someone as a present!
In this duo you get the 125ml Rose Hand Cream and the Roll-on Rose Fragrance Oil.
First I'll talk about the hand cream!
This tube is huge! Well... it's 125ml but it feels so big compared to all the other hand creams I own, which is fab! I always carry a huge handbag so the fact it is a little bigger doesn't bother me in the slightest!
The cream itself is so thick and creamy, without being greasy at all it is seriously lovely! I use so much hand cream at this time of year, the cold weather makes my hands so dry and working with the public I tend to over-use that trusty anti-bac aswell which causes havoc with my hands too, so hand creams are life savers!
The scent is beautiful, just like my other rose products from Jurlique, the smell is soft but strong and lasts for ages!
I can imagine my Mum keeping this cream by the sink for everyday use.... she always has hand creams near the sink and I know she would LOVE this!
The other half of the duo now and the roll on fragrance which comes in a convenient 11ml bottle.
The powerful rose scent includes top notes of Rose Wardia and Rose Anatolia blooms and the smell is so long lasting on the skin!
I find the smell of rose really soothing and calming and it has really been helping me relax after a hard days work recently! As you may have seen earlier this week I talked about products that have been helping me sleep better.... this is one of them!
After having a shower I have been putting this on my pulse points and relaxing on the sofa! If you wanted to have it as an everyday fragrance it's also great layered with the other rose products Jurlique has to offer!
Convenient, quick and easy this is a fabulous product!
Worth £50 in value this gift box saves you a whopping £15 being only £35! Click here to check it out! A gorgeous present for a loved one this Christmas (or yourself!), I must say both these products have been such a luxury treat for me.
Make sure you check out the rest of Jurlique amazing blogger #12daysofGlow - I know some amazing girlies that are just waiting for their turn to rave about their products they have been trying!

theBalm is a brand that I have admired from a distance for so long now, I have no idea why it has taken me this long to even try one of their products! The packaging and naming of their products has always been something that has caught my eye when browsing sites such as Asos and Feel Unique and along with the fairly reasonable pricing they seem to have got their marketing on point. I was extremely excited when theBalm recently contacted me and asked if I want to try out a few of their best selling products - of course I leaped at the chance (who wouldn't) and have been in awe of their awesomeness ever since!
theBalm Mary Lou Manizer*
I am such a highlight lover. For years now I have been constantly buying and looking for products to give my skin that radiant look that celebritys seem to rock with ease!
The Mary Lou Manizer(told you the names were genius) is a gorgeous pearly powder highlight which comes in a cute little compact with a handy mirror.
I have been using this both under and over the top of my foundation to create a pretty honey hued glow for both everyday looks and my full-face "going out" make-up!
My favourite places to put it is on the apples on my cheeks sweeping up towards my temples, down the center of my nose and under my eyebrows!
Giving my skin a slight shimmer and dewy radiant glow this powder is definitely perfect for anyone's complexion, it gives the skin a softer and younger and it has gone straight into my everyday make-up bag to hang out with my other favourite highlighters!
This 8.5g compact is £16 - a middle of the road price overall I'd say but the quality in both product and packaging is much better than anything you'd get on the high street and I can tell this is going to be a product that lasts and lasrs!
If you are looking for a new highlighter or maybe thinking about treating someone for their birthday or Christmas I highly recommend this one! It isn't too OTT and you can build it up so easily - top marks to thebalm babes!

I am like a magpie when it comes to highlighters and products that aim to give your skin a pretty glow and shimmer!
I had seen these online and thought they looked pretty but when I finally saw them in 'real life' I couln't resist picking one up!
There were a few too choose from at the no7 stand but I went for the bronzing highlighter, just because I have a lot of pinky shaded highlighters already so I thought this would be a good product to ad to my collection of goodies!
The instant radiance highlighter comes in a cute little bullet with a twist bottom (so this should last me a while!)
I love that this is a stick, it's so easy to sweep on and is such a handy little size to add to my make-up bag.
I have been putting this on my cheeks bones, brow bones and down the centre of my nose (in the hope of making it look slightly smaller) it is really light and creamy which makes it easy to blend in!
It has a lovely pigmentation which makes it easy to get a gorgeous dewy, fresh effect without using alot of product.
Another holy grail highlighter for me to rant and rave about....ahhh it's so pretty I definitely need to buy the other versions now - I can never just stick to one can I? This highlighter is priced at £9.95 but I bought it with a No7 voucher (£3 off!) and they do these offers alot so keeps your eyes out for those!

A shimmering glow is a look I go for on a daily basis. I love any product which can give me a gorgeous dewy look and I am constantly adding these products to my make-up collection!
Shimmer bricks are something I have used for years and I don't feel like my face is complete without it! With my current shimmer brick coming to an end I knew it was time to invest in a new one and this was the perfect bargain price for my current budget!
This is the Seventeen Instant Glow Pink Bronze Shimmer Brick.
With my holy grail fake bake shimmer brick (mentioned in many a post) being on it's last legs I knew that it was time to hit the shops and find a replacement. Although I needed cheaper replacement - and this beaut from Seventeen fit the bill perfectly!
Seventeen are a brand that since I started my blog back up again last May I have mentioned countless times! They have really upted their game and alot of their products at the moment are up there in my favourites! This shimmer brick comes in 2 fab shades - a pink shade and a bronzed shade! I've had trouble before with over bronzing myself (sometimes when intoxicated) with my shimmer brick so I thought Id try out the pink shade which hopefully would just give me a lovely pink shimmer!
These are such a great range of shades which when blended together make a gorgeous shimmering glow!
This is the last product I use on my face when doing my make-up - after my concealer, my foundation - everything - I pop this onto a blush brush and just add it to the apples of my cheeks and a little down my nose!
I love the subtle shine it gives me for both day and night, my make-up doesn't feel complete without it!
Even though this is only £4.99, half the price of my Fake Bake brick that I have been using for years and years - it works just aswell, you can hardly tell the difference apart from the fact this is has a slightly pinker tone!
I love it and if it is anything like my other ones this thing is going to last for years!
This winter has sucked and summer cannot come quick enough! At the moment it's still more rain, wind and hail than any form of vitamin D so what could we all need more than a bit of a holiday in a bottle.
I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels a bit pants when pale. I've said it before but having a bit of colour and a glow has so many benefits - the biggest being looking healthier (for me anyway!)
With the weather we've been having the last few months I'm as white as a sheet and hating every minute of it - I could really do with any form of tan!
This is where Time Bomb Cosmetics comes in!
This stuff isn't a fake tan or a stain - just a gorgeous liquid sunshine type product! A product to put on under your foundation (well that's when I've been putting it on anyway!), this stuff is a gorgeous instant complexion boost and that quick hit of sunshine we've all been dying for!
If you've read my blog before you know I'm all for a shimmer and a glow and this stuff really does the job! Holiday in a bottle comes in two shades and the one I have been using is in the shade 'Sunkissed'. The only ever product I have used that is similar to this stuff is Soap & Glory's Glow Job and that was a long, long time ago and I have to say I do prefer this version from Time Bomb. When pumped out this product comes out a grey, silver-type colour - a bit like a highlighter. But as soon as you start to mix and blend the product the micro-pigments start to burst and it immediately turns into the glowing tan shade you imagine which helps enhance your natural complexion.
This stuff does need to be blended well especially into the neck and I've found it best to do it just with your hands, no make-up accessories needed.
Just one pump spread around the face seems to be enough for me - a little goes a long way. That is one of the features I really like - the pump action. I hate product that you have to try and judge yourself so the pump makes it alot easier to ration out this stuff (especially with the £28 price tag)
This is great for all skin tones and gives a great subtle glowing base to start your make-up for the day with - or you could even just wear it on it's own!
This is the first product I have tried from Time Bomb Cosmetics and I've been really impressed I really want to try out more of their range - they have sooo many products from skincare to haircare to jewellery!
(***Disclaimer : This product was kindly sent to me by the lovely people at Time Bomb Cosmetics. All thoughts, opinions and ideas are always my own and I would never include an item or product on A Yellow Brick Blog that I didn't truly believe in.)
Another new product from that ever growing brand Seventeen? Why yes... yes it is! I spotted this when I spotted the new Tan Liquid Glow Skin Wow (Review here) and thought it looked like a winner so picked it up! It is the Seventeen Instant Glow Cream Bronzer.
Cream bronzer's are something I've had my eye on for a while but still were yet to pick up and try out! I've really been loving Seventeen's products this past 6 months, they keep bringing out such fantastic new products which I haven't seen from other drugstore brands! (The skin wow! highlighter being my ulitmate fav!)
This stuff is a lovely warm tone with a slight shimmer in a neat square compact (although I had a bit of a struggle trying to get into it the first couple of times! - I blame my nails)
The bronzer is a fab lightweight creamy texture which is so easy to build up to your desired colour.
In the photo below this stuff looks a little orange.... damn my pale white skin!(To be fair I haven't seen proper sunlight in a good month or so I reckon, the joys of England!)
Once rubbed in this bronzer fades into a gorgeous natural glow - perfect to wear with or without make-up!
I have been popping this on after my foundation to help contour my cheekbones and am loving it!
This, along with the skin wow instant tan, is an absolutely perfect product for spring and summer!
This bronzer is just £4.99 - and so so worth picking up! I'm hoping to go on holiday at some point this year (and hopefully sooner rather later) and this will be top of my make-up picks to take with me for a minimal make-up look in the sun!
