Simple Skincare Haul

When I saw that Boots had the whole of the Simple skincare range at half price last week I thought it would just be plain RUDE not to invest in a few bits for myself.
I love Simple and have been using it on and off since I was probably about 14- alongside Nivea they have got to be my favourite drugstore skincare brand.
Being on a bit of a budget for the next year ( you can read about about that here) I will be splashing out less on more expensive high end products/brands and sticking to barry bargains which I know work well!
I picked up 7 products from the range and wanted to tell you all about them as I have been so excited about how cheap they are right now!
L2R : Facial Wash, Facial Toner, Facial Scrub, Light Moisturiser, Illuminating Cream, BB Cream & Handwash.

Simple Refreshing Facial Wash Gel - Was £3.39 Now £1.69
This is a product I've used before, but not for a long while! I have to have a facial wash in the shower for every morning, something to wake both me and my skin up and prep my skin ready for my morning skincare routine and make-up!

Simple Soothing Facial Toner - Was £3.29 Now £1.64
This is always my back-up when I run out of my Liz Earle Skin Tonic. This is something I use every morning and every night - I feel grotty without a toner!

Simple Smoothing Facial Scrub - Was £3.39 Now £1.69
I'm a scrub addict. Especially during the summer months when I feel I can notice build up so much more! For the price this is a total bargain - great to keep in the shower and use 1 or 2 times a week!

Simple Protecting Light Moisturiser - Was £4.35 Now £2.17
I'm such a naughty girl when it comes to moisturising... after trying out a few thicker creams and my skin not reacting well I have become very distant from this everyday step. I used to use this as a teen and I thought for this cheap price - why not try it again! (So far so good...)

Simple Illuminating Radiance Cream - Was £6.59 Now £3.29
I have wanted to try this for so long, but my stingy self has refused to pay out the missley £6.59 for it haha! My Mum bought this months and months ago and said how much she liked it and I'm really glad I have finally bought it as it is lovely!

Simple Perfecting BB Beauty Balm - Was £6.29 Now £3.14
Again... I've wanted to try this since the day it came out! BB/CC creams are a favourite of mine for this time of year and I'm looking forward to using something a little lighter than my usual high coverage foundation. The only thing that worries me is that from what I saw there is only one shade... I haven't tried it yet so I'm hoping it will be okay!

Simple Handwash - Was £2.10 Now £1.05
Last but not least something for the kitchen/bathroom (which ever one runs out first!) I wash my hands alot so having something which is kind to skin is really good for me and for half the price I thought it would be a nice treat!

Do you use anything from Simple? What are your favourite products?

Bargain Of The Week : Katy Perry Killer Queen 100ml

Sometimes I find a bargain so good that I feel the need to tell the world and this week I have one of those incredible bargains!
Yes, I managed to get a total and utter steal so treated myself to a new everyday perfume.
Retailing normally for £38.50 this 100ml of Killer Queen is down to just £14.99 at Boots (plus I got a bit of cheeky discount so it worked out at only £13.18 overall - how insane is that!?)

This scent is perfect for both daytimes and evenings alike, it's a fun and playful scent whilst having a hint of maturity about it too!
The bottle is gorgeous, I love it's individual shape and I'm so chuffed to have a 100ml in my life - most of my perfumes are either 30ml or 50ml so I feel like I need to be careful with the amount I'm spritzing, whereas this is huge and for the price I paid I could use it as air freshener for all I care! LOVE love love it!
(Plus I'm off to see Katy Perry for the fifth time this week so what perfect timing!!!)

Have you found any bargains this week that you want to share?

Bleach London Reincarnation Mask Review

Bleach London are a brand I've drooled over for so long now.
Their funky wash in-wash out dyes are a dream and I WISH I was in a line of work that made it okay for me to dye my hair whatever colour I fancied now and again - but I think if I rocked up to work with bright blue hair they probably wouldn't appreciate it. Boooo!
(I do think I may go pink for when I head to Germany next month though #whynot?)

Anyway enough about the fact I can't have cool hair......... the hair that I can have is blonde and blonde is what I've been for a long while now!
I decided to go a bit blonder recently (I fancied a Teresa McQueen look!) and even though I knew what affect the bleach would have I went ahead and did it anyway!

For the first few washes after having my hair done I'm not going to lie my locks felt extremely knotty and dry (you know that slight cotton wool feeling? - eek!) - even with lots of conditioner and my beloved tangle teezer, so I knew it was time to invest in something a little more intense.
I had heard about this conditioning mask from Bleach a while ago was always intrigued to give it a go so when I spotted it in Boots half price at just £3 I snapped it up with utter delight.
The Reincarnation Mask is a treatment to help resurrect and hydrate thirsty, bleached or coloured hair - Ding! ding! ding! Winner!
The sunflower seed extract and micro wheat proteins help to improve the elasticity of the hair aswell as giving it great shine and helping reduce colour fade.
I followed the instructions on the packaging and after shampooing and rinsing my hair I slapped this all over my locks root-to-tip! It says to leave on the hair for 10-20minutes .... I was actually doing this in a slight hurry so I probably only just managed 10 minutes (next time I will leave it on for alot longer!).
It also says explains a great way to enchance the amazing results - by wrapping your hair in a warm towel and leaving it to work it's magic - I will definitely be trying this out at some point!

As soon as I rinsed it out and ran my fingers through my hair I felt an immediate difference! I grabbed my tangle teezer and enjoy brushing through my hair for the first time in a week or so!

This stuff is a god send for my bleached hair - it literally feels brand new! I'll be using this at least once a week from now on. If your hair is in need of some TLC and moisture then I highly recommend this stuff - it's only £6 normally and I think you'd get a good month's worth from each tube!

p.s. aren't you just loving my new camera? I'm obsessed!

Herbal Essences Bee Strong Strengthening Intensive Mask Review

So after a busy Christmas and new year full of parties and seeing friends last week I realised  my hair needed a little something to bring it back to life and looking healthy!
Endless heat and styling over the holiday period had left it feeling drier and a bit more ratty than usual! (Not cool.)

So I decided to take matters into my hands and grab something to make it feel a little normal again!

One of my beautiful friends has recently mentioned that she has been using the new Bee Strong range from Herbal Essences and how much she was loving the results from it!
So when I saw that it was half price in boots I decided to grab the 200ml Strengthening Intensive mask to try out on my poor lifeless locks!
The last few years I have stayed away from your everyday drugstore branded haircare and stuck with the salon brands that I love like Lee Stafford and Charles Worthington.
Even though other brands like Herbal Essences are cheaper I always felt like I went through the bottles so so quickly and was more or less spending the same by buying a slightly more expensive brand that lasted a lot longer!

But with the price for this weekly treatment mask being only £2.09 (half  the usual price of £4.19) and the Bee strong range being something I haven't tried before I thought I had nothing to loose by giving it a go!
(And let's me fair the fact Nicole Sherzy is promoting this stuff definitely makes me want to try it out....I'm a sucker!)
First of all the smell..... At first I really wasn't sure on it. It is meant to smell like honey but compared to other honey based products I have had in the past it didn't have that nice sweet scent to it!
But nevertheless it isn't awful and it slowly got better the more I smelt it!
Once I have shampooed and conditioned my hair like normal I grabbed an egg sized amount of this stuff and whacked it all over my hair from root to tip!
I then left it in for around 3-5 minutes and washed out as normal!
This is advised be used once a week and that is how often I will be using it!
I always let me hair air dry unless I am going out somewhere and need to have it down and styled (hardly ever). I feel like my hair feels so much nicer and smoother if it is just left to dry naturally!

My first thoughts on my hair after using this product was 1. How much less frizzy my hair seemed to be once dried (a miracle!) 2. How much shiner it looked and 3. how much stronger and healthy my ends felt, I'm always worried they will look stringy and limp.

Overall I have been really pleased with the results from this mask! If you fancy a little pick me up for your hair , if it's feeling a bit damaged and dry, then go grab this while it's half price - it is a bargain and has even tempted me to try out the rest of the Bee Strong range - have any of you tried them out yet?

Here it is - part 2 of 3 of my Boots sale haul! If you haven't already seen part 1 then check it out - here.
If you also want to see any separate posts of individual products in more detail then let me know - that way when I've tried them out and have an opinion I know I won't be boring you with them!
The haul continues....

Soap & Glory Facetime
WAS £25 NOW £12.50
Hello bargain central once again! I am such a Soap & Glory fan and after only using a couple of their skincare products I thought this would be a perfect excuse to try some more! A set of 4 different products which are actually worth the original  £25 price tag if bought individually - so I saved myself a pretty penny here! It comes with the Puffy Eye Attack Turbo-Boost Hydragel, the Smooth Operator Lip Butter Balm, the Off Your Face Cleansing Wipes and the Feel Good Factor Translucent BB Cream (a fab primer/base).

Boots Extracts Body Butter Collection
WAS £8 NOW £4
Body Butters - you can't have enough of them! Not long until it will be summer and I'll be slapping these on left, right and centre! The 4 scents you get in this set are Cranberry, Coconut, Mngo & Cocoa Butter! Bring on the magical smells!

FCUK Eyeshadow Palette
WAS £12 NOW £6
A bit of make-up - horaay!! This caught my eye due to the range of colours! A gorgeous 15 shade palette from FCUK which I have swatched and it looks fab! I'm definitely going to try out some more daring looks in the upcoming future with this badboy! For only £6 - it's a steal!

Vintage Collection Photo Frame
WAS £8 NOW £4
I love buying bits for my flat and this cute little photo frame was a must-have! I'm thinking of putting it on my kitchen window sill , it will go perfectly in there... now who to put in it?!

Umberto Giannini Curl Friends Curl Define Hair Kit
WAS £10  NOW £5
I actually mainly bought this for the section separating grips included! I'm always struggling when I'm tying to curl my hair in different sections so these are going to be majorly helpful! I cannot wait to try the smooth curls shampoo and conditioner too and the scrunching jelly that I have heard so much about!

Soap & Glory Washful Thinking
WAS £10 NOW £5
Something I buy anyway so why wouldn't I buy this? I normally pay £5 for the hand wash and £7 for the hand food for my bathroom so this is a ridiculously great saving! My favourite head cream ever and they both smell lovley!

Okay so that is Part 2 over - look out for Part 3 where I will be sharing the last 5 items from my Boots sale shop!
