Nails HQ All In One Review

Bonjourno ladies and maybe gents! I have a review for you all today, I feel like it's been a while since I did a review.... a while being a few days - but you know... it's been a while since it felt like I've written one.
Today I'm talking all about an All in One nail treatment from the lovely people at Nail HQ.
Nails HQ All In One*

Nail HQ are a new brand on the block - specialising in ... well... nails! (duh!)
With everything from top coats to hydrating primers they are the new generation of nail treatments.

This treatment is the All In One. A clear nail product made with that special ingredient we all now and love  Argan Oil.

The formula contains a unique mineral complex, sounds fancy right?
It is said to help improve moisture, strengthen and condition your nails - helping to prevent brittleness and breakage (which is what my nails are prone too!)

I've been using this for the last couple of weeks or so and can really see it's work being done. I've been popping it on probably two or three times a week and my nails have grown considerably! When at work they normally break every other flaming day, but since using this stuff they have actually got some length to them and I can actually physically see and feel the difference.

This stuff is great if, like me, you suffer with brittle, dry or flaky nails - it has worked wonders on mine. I will be avoiding regular nail polish for a little longer whilst using this and will be using it as a base coat whenever I do decide to start painted them again.
I think it would also be fab to use if you've just had false nails removed as it really does help to get the strength back.

I'm really looking forward to trying out more products from the Nail HQ range - maybe I'll actually have some half decent looking hands by the end of the year!

Nails HQ products can be found in a number of stores including Tesco and Superdrug and you can find out all about their range on their website - here.

Little Ondine Natural Nail Polish Review

When it comes to me and nail products..... it never really works out overly well! My nails are pretty cr*p and I struggle to find polishes that last more than a day and/or don't make my nails more brittle than they already are!

Fast forward to September 2015 and a brand new natural beauty brand that has come into my life and I may have just found something worth shouting about!

Little Ondine are a fairly new brand on the block and after hearing all about their products and being offered to try a couple I thought it sounded like a fab idea.

From what I was told these polishes sounded almost too good to be true and I couldn't wait to give them a go.

To start they only have 3 ingredients! 3!
Water, natural resin and organic colourants. Just 3 little things make up these unique polishes and what's best about that? It means they are odourless - fantastic for when your painting in public especially AND quick drying - something everyone wants in a polish!
The packaging (shown above) is fabulous too, great fold-up cardboard containers which then unfold to reveal all the information you need about the polishes and how to use them #genius!

After shaking the bottle well and washing and drying my hands as instructed I sat down ready and raring to transform my short, stumpy boring nails.
The consistency of the polishes are fairly 'gloopy' which worried me at first but the style of the brush makes it so easy to sweep the product on. (Even on my tiny little nails!)
As promised the product is totally odour free (so no moans from the boyfriend who was sat next to me!) and after a few coats and just a few minutes they were totally opaque and dry - I couldn't believe it.

The instructions also mention to keep your hands dry for the first hour after painting.... I can't remember whether I did or not to be honest (I'm a bit of a serial hand washer I'm afraid) but I'm going to remember this for the future.
I couldn't believe how brilliant this polish looked. So even that it looked like it could be shellac or gellish, I was paranoid that I was going to chip it and ruin my fabulous work BUT I have to say this lasted probably ten times longer than any high street polish I've used in the past on my nails. (like I said before I never have much luck, but this really did work!)

When you're ready to change these polishes removing it couldn't be easier - you literally just peel it off
No nail polish removers or acetone required! Something else which always makes my nails even worst and with Little Ondine I can avoid it!
When I came to take it off I did have a few nails lifting ready to be peeled already so it couldn't have been easier, plus I didn't feel like I was damaging my nails at all.
Since using these two shades my nails have grown and actually feel a little stronger, which is something I was not expecting at all!

I was surprised by how many shades are in the Little Ondine collection - over 60 (all found here) - there is literally something for everyone, every season and every event!

Please let me know if you try them out and what you think - I can't wait to invest in some more shades, at £9.20 each they are a little more expensive than your usual Barry M the for the quality and the fact they are all natural I'll happily pay a little more.

Pins Of The Week

I have an addiction. A Pinterest addiction.

Like I said in a post earlier this month I have suddenly discovered the love of Pinterest! I've had an account for a while now but it has only been the last month or so that I have dedicated my spare time morning, evening and night to making boards and pinning until my hearts content!
It is brilliant for killing boredom (and time) and I am constantly thinking of new things to search and new boards I can create!
I thought it would be fun to share with you guys a few of my favourite pins that I have found this past week - a nice visual post for everyone :) MY PINTEREST ACCOUNT

5 Glitter Top Coats For This Christmas

It's Christmas in a matter of days and you know what that means.... glitter and sparkle everywhere!
Everywhere..... including our nails! I love a bit of sparkle a this time of year and these are some of my favourite top coats to rock!

Left to right :
INM Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat - Gold*
INM Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat - Silver*
Rimmel Glitter Bomb - Midnight Mistletoe
No7 Stay Perfect Nail Polish - In The Stars
Barry M Nail Paint Limited Edition 2013
I love top coats like these are they go with so many shades and you can just wear them on their own and I find it so much wearable at this time of year!  (although they are a totally nightmare to photograph when you on't have the fanciest of equipment!)
Every single year I always buy more like these, I'm a sucker for sparkle and so many brands bring out new ones each Christmas I just can't help myself!
The first two coats are the northern lights duo which are fab! These were sent to be recently by INM and they are great! A really subtle but gorgeous sheen which give a great sparkle in the light! They make my crap nails look a little bit more sassy and with painting my nails alot less recently in an attempt to help them grow, this coat is great to keep them strong and shiny!
I've been trying them over the top of loads of shades and they definitely look the best over a black! Love love love, but I still can't choose between them which one is my fav - keep your eyes on my twitter/insta for more photos! More info - here ... gold/silver.

Middle coat is a new one in my collection which I actually received from Emma in my Christmas Beauty Box Swap! If Christmas could be summed up in a a nail polish this Rimmel beaut would be it really! Red and green glitter in a nutshell - I was so chuffed to see this in the box as I hadn't actually seen this one before in the shops!

Next is the No7 polish in shade 'In The Stars' - this is a lovely iridescent glitter, so perfect on it's own or maybe just on one finger (you know you still love that look!)

Last is a Barry M polish from last year which I still wear all the time - no matter no time of year it is! Barry M always have great Limited Edition glitter shades at Christmas time, usually one or two for both Superdrug and Boots! This is a classic silver glitter, perfect for everyones collection!

One of my New Year's resolutions is too keep better care of my nails, having extensions for so long did wreck them a bit, so strong, long nails here I come!

A couple of months ago me and the lovely Emma from notyouraverage decided to create a little Christmas box swap for each other!
There's wasn't much interest for a secret santa this year with other bloggers (due to some not so great experiences for some people last year) so we thought we would just do something between just the two of us!

It was so fun communicating with each other whilst opening each present, I actually loved it!
I was so so pleased with everything that Emma got me and I loved the box swap experience... I really hope she feels the same way!

Botanics Nail Strengthening Hand Cream Review

My nails have always been crap, total and utter crap at that! They are seriously weak and so brittle and they've been that way ever since I can remember!
Over the years I've tried different products but never stuck to anything permanently. For the past few years I have been getting my nails done professionally and having gel extensions put on which at the time I love and they look awesome but they do have a damaging affect on my poor little fingernails so I've been having a break from them to hopefully help my nails strengthen up a bit!

I'm pretty rubbish when it comes to nail hardeners and nail strengtheners as I always forgot to keep putting them on, whereas a hand cream, well I won't forget that!
Not impressed with the dirty packaging.... the risk of buying online eh!
I was just browsing the Boots website when I spotted this! A hand cream which doubles up as a nail strengthener, sounds perfect for me! I'm always applying hand cream and love having it in my bag 24/7 so what better than to kill two birds with one stone!

This has a lovely floral type scent which actually smells just like a product from Liz Earle but I can't quite pinpoint which one it is... maybe the hand wash. It's a strong scent but isn't too much that it's overpowering.

The cream is non-greasy and melts into the skin very quickly, which is perfect for me as it means I can re-apply it as many times as I want it throughout the say, even when at work.
The skin around my nails has improved drastically, alot less flaky and dry than normal and they look so much healthier too plus my hands feel hydrated and soft.
My nails themselves are feeling so much better! Less brittle, less flaky and actually starting to grow slightly. Obviously I think this is down to a mixture of things including not wearing any nail varnish (I know... shame on me right now!), this for me was a brilliant buy and I shall be re-purchasing this once I've run out!

Bargain Beauty : MUA Pistachio Ice Cream Nail Polish

Another bargain beauty post today! I love discovering and picking up cheap products! Recently I was having a browse arounf Superdrug for a new pastel nail polish colour when I stumbled across the MUA stand.
I saw the price tag and the name and was sold - Pistachio Ice Cream Nail Polish for just£1 , my sort of price!
Now for the price I wasn't looking for something incredible and I knew it wasn't going to be the greatest nail polish ever made, I just wanted a nice shade which is easy to apply and doesn't take to long to create an opaque colour. (not much to ask!)

The packaging I have noticed has been given alot of flak online - it's clearly similar to Essie's classic design. My opinion..... oh well! If I can get a cute nail polish for just £1 I don't really care who they've copied!
Now of course.. this isn't the greatest polish in the world but I love the colour - it is perfect for spring/summer - I am obsessing with pastels. (I know I'm not the only one!)

It doesn't give the greatest application, very streaky - although I'm not the greatest nail painter in the world (I'm very good at painting my fingers though...) and it does need a good few coats to get a good opaque look.
Overall for £1 you can't really go wrong - it's better than the Sinful colours polish I previously tried (another bargain brand!) ...and I think this is cheaper!

Have you tried MUA polishes before? I think I'm definitely going to purchase a few more colours!

Mini Birthday Haul

So after lots of you said yes yes yes to me doing a birthday haul type post - here it is!
Just thought I'd share of my photos from Saturday and a couple of the presents I was lucky enough to receive - I truly do have such incredible people around me who made my day so special!
I turned up to my friend's house to see this! Wow! Everyone knows I am a crazy Disney lover and my friends seriously knew what would make me smile!
Banner, balloons and party food (including princess cupcakes!) - if I hadn't already done my make-up I really would have let the tears flow!
This was bought into me at midnight by my lovely boyfriend! He knew that I'd seen this cake ages ago in Tesco and really wanted it - Finest Red Velvet - and check out those candles - boy did good! YUM!
Look how cute this is! I love this Micky & Minnie ornament so much - just got to decided where to put it now!
Birthday treat time! Wahoooo I got my nails done! I've actually hated not having them done the past few weeks - having them just make me feel 200% better about myself and so much more glamorous, especially for my night out!
I got this gorgeous brown/taupe type colour , I really fancied a neutral shade this time round, I know I'm meant to be on a spending ban but I think this is one luxury I can't give up just yet!
Beauty addict alert! Look what I got from my boyfriend - yup... 3 gorgeous Mac lipsticks! All are shades I have wanted for ages - Impassioned, Candy Yum-Yum & Girl About Town. All pink and all gorgeous, I am obsessed! And of course there will be reviews and swatches up soon! (How could I not?!)
By the name of my blog you may have noticed I'm a bit of a Wizard Of Oz fangirl! (And this birthday I recieved lots of W.O.O. themed presents aswell as Disney - people just know me so well!) My Mum got us tickets to see Wicked this year so this was a perfect present from her! I LOVE musicals and cannot wait to see this, it's been on my to-do list for years!
I am an obsessive DVD hoarder - I love films! These are both movies I had seen before and loved - one was from my little brother and the other my boyfriend! These are both must-see's I love them and so glad I can watch them again whenever I want now!
I did have one of these until about a month ago- when I smashed it open to pay for my deposit for Disneyworld!
So what a perfect present! I will be filling this up to the brim and smashing it open just before I go away - perfect way to save save save!
Since moving out I have been loving getting bits an bobs for my flat! This is the cutest timer for the kitchen! Cath Kidston with the little pup on the top, adorable!
This was such a special present from my parents! Limited edition framed cells from the movie The Wizard Of Oz - only 700 of these were ever made and I am lucky enough to have one of them! The cells I received are brilliant aswell - such an exciting and personal present.

That's just a few of the presents I got - I had such a fab day and evening!  A great way to start my year of being 24!
If you want to see more then let me know as I have lots of other things to share but if you don't like this sort of post then let me know aswell :)
