OOTN : Suede & Leather

Well.... it has been a long, long while since I did any form of outfit post.... or any post in which you actually SEE me but  hello, here I am!

Its not often that I get dressed up and go 'out out' so I thought I'd grab a shot for the blog while I had bothered to get out of my pyjamas on a Saturday night!

Hair
Nope... I haven't found the aid to magically grow my lob out in a matter of minutes but ... I have got some fabulous new extensions!
The lovely people at Lush Hair Extensions recently sent me some gorgeous Ultimate Full Head Extensions which I have been loving! At only 16" they are just what I wanted for my currently growing lob to give it a little more length and volume - having longer hair always makes me feel a little more glamorous on a night out, it's nice to be able to do something different with it!

Body
This top ('body') is from boohoo and I LOVE it! At only £12 it's perfect for easy day-to-day wear with jeans and boots/trainers but can be glammed up with a skirt or shorts for a fun night out! I'm seriously obessed with Boohoo at the moment.... as you will notice!

Skirt
I LOVE a bit of leather.... and yes this isn't actually leather but I love leather-look fashion - I felt very rock-chickesque with this and my boots #rockandroll! (I seriously want the pink version of this aswell!!!)

Bag
A total bargain at £14 - with a longer strap included this is definitley going to be my go-to 'popping out' bag - it's a great size AND has two different zip compartments!

Boots
My babies! I was SO excited to finally be able to wear these beauty from InTheStyle - so cute and perfect for this season, I know I'm going to get SO much wear out of these!

Fashion : Off Duty Denim with George @ ASDA

A few years ago jeans were something which never even entered my mind when getting dressed.
I wasn't confident with my legs and thought denim always made me look huge - fast forward to today and I don't know what I'd do without my few pairs that I own and love.

Recently I was sent a challenge by George @ ASDA to show off how I transform denim from a casual daytime look to something a little more glam.
Jeans are perfect for everyday wear yes, but they can also look great for a nice dinner date, a night out with the girls or even a blogging event!

The jeans I chose to try were the Fashion Box High Waisted Jeans in Navy. The reviews looked great,I always prefer a stretchy lightweight material rather than a thick stiff denim so these seemed like a great choice for me, plus I'm a huge fan of high waists - they hide a multitude of sins and are great for dressing up and down.
At only £16 I'm SO impressed with them - I have honestly been wearing them non-stop - cinema trips, dinner with friends, Christmas day, my recent trip to London - they are amazing and so flattering.

Here's an example of an easy daytime outfit. I love oversized knitwear at this time of year (especially after eating all that Christmas food) - so cosy and snug! Plus the rips in the jeans and trainers help to dress down the whole look. (Can we just have a LOL at my facial expression here.... what a miserable cow!)

Now how I've dressed them up!
I'm obsessed with my black over the knee boots from Boohoo right now and have been wearing them so much over the last month! I love pairing these together as it hides the rips in the jeans, immediately making them a bit more formal!
I choose to tuck in the plain cami to show off the high waist and make it all look a bit more 'going out'. The finishing touch is the awesome jacket *heart eyes*. I had been wanting a short fur jacket for months and this is just gorgeous, so soft and fits like a glove.

I cannot recommend these jeans enough I've already had one friend saying she's bought some and fallen in love - for £16 I need them in every colour possible, well done ASDA!

The Backpack Is Back!

Is it 2002? Nope! But YES I am wearing a snazzy backpack.

I think there was a time where backpacks kind of just left the face of the earth - or maybe I just left school? Whatever it was.... I didn't own any.
Flash forward to 2015 and Kirstie is LOVING those handy bags once more and is totally in love with this newbie.
This dotty little number is from Eastpak - a well recognised and loved maker of backpacks... you guys must recognise their little logo on the pocket there!
I love how comfortable this bag is - it has a padded back which is probably my favourite feature, it makes it so much nicer to wear.
The backpack features the large inner compartment and the zipped front pocket (the best place for your lipgloss and keys!) and can fit so much in!

The dotty pattern is great, being black and white makes it subtle but the spots give it that something different about it - I don't think I'd like it as much if it was just plain black.
It is priced at £40 (here), which is great fo the quality - you can tell it's durable and has so many uses! (There's got to be a style/colour/pattern out there for everyone!)

My 3 top uses for a backpack :

1. Overnight stays
We all like to have night's away from home, I still regularly have sleepover's with my best friend (even though we are in our 20s) and this is the handiest way to take all my essentials! My handbags are never big enough and I don't want to be taking 5 different bags to pop out for the night so this is perfect.
I took a backpack to London earlier this year when I went to see Taylor Swift and it was the perfect size for everything I needed.... and I don't pack light I tell ya!

2. Hand luggage
Ooooo even writing that has made me want to go on holiday! But yes, hand luggage is always a tricky one for me. You have most of your bits and bobs in your suitcase but you still what those few important bits with you.... I mean I never trust my make-up going in the hold.... what if they loose?!
Backpacks make travelling so much easier, you are already carrying your passports, your tickets etc etc so it's nice to just have a backpack to pop on and not worry about having something else in your hands or on your arm!

3. Shopping
If you hadn't heard yet.... it's now 5p for a carrier bag here in England! I've spotted so many people wearing backpacks round town now and it's such a good idea, especially if you are picking up a small food shop! Plus it's alot easier to carry home!

What do you think? Do you guys own any backpacks?

OOTD : All Black Everthing \\ Belted Batwing Coat

Jeans :  New Look
Boots : New Look
Long Sleeve Top : ASOS

Anything with fur detailing is so up my street right now! Autumn/Winter is my favourite time for fashion, I love the dark colours (I wear way too much black), the layering and the different textures found all over the high street & online.

This coat has jumped straight to my go-to section of my wardrobe! I love the batwing look and the way it dresses up an otherwise plain and simple outfit.
I can't wait to get a nice oversized scarf to wear with it now it's getting colder!

I'm not sure I'm ever going to get the hang of the fashion blogging malarky, others seem to rock things so naturally... but I'll keep on trying as I do find it so much fun!

I don't think there has been a day in the last month that I haven't visited ASOS.com.
I honestly think I may have an addiction.

The variety it has, the constant new stock.... that god damn sale! I love this website and with it's next day delivery on every order with my ASOS Premier sometimes it's hard not to go ahead and order stuff! I am constantly adding things to my 'saved items' and I'm sure you guys are the same, so I thought I would share today a few things I have added recently..... hurry up payday!!!

Please let me know if you've enjoyed this quick post, I love seeing what everyone else has their eye on when it comes to fashion and style!

OOTD : Sunshine & Pineapples

Hat - H&M
Sunglasses - Ralph Lauren
Floral Tassle Kimono - New Look
Top - New Look
Ripped Mom Jeans - New Look
White Buckle Boots - New Look
Rose Gold Watch - Folli Follie

Hello you lovely lot :) I'm back again with another fashion based post, I'm finding them alot more fun than I used too you know!
With the sun creeping in and out of our lives at the moment it's a struggle to know what to wear from one day to the next which is a total pet peeve of mine!

As soon as I see the sun and I'm not at work I love being able to head to my wardrobe and pick out something fun and colourful.
I am LOVING kimono's at the moment, I'm not overly confident with my body just right now so I find them so comfortable.
The 'mom' jeans are a pair I got in the sale a few months ago and I have really been enjoying owning and wearing something that isn't 'skinny' styled.
Also how gorgeous is this necklace? The lovely people at Jewel Street contacted me a little while ago about their site and after spending hours browsing through everything I decided to go for this cute pineapple pendant from Florelli and I'm so pleased with it. I'm a big fan of gold and I know I'm going to be wearing this alot over the Summer, it's a great length too which is always good.
I've been wearing it alot with my roll neck top aswell and it goes so well!

Fashion : Peek-a-Boo Playsuit

Lipstick : Mac Rebel
Boots : New Look

Well it's been a while since I uploaded a fashion based post and even though this month marks my 2nd whole year of blogging, it still makes me nervous! Putting my whole self out there is a little bit daunting but I really like doing them so I just have to be brave and hit publish!

Playsuits are a big love of mine, I'm not the skinniest of girls but I feel like they can be really flattering when you have a right style.
This floral beaut is from The Fashion Bible and it is one of their limited edition pieces! I dyed my hair pink earlier this week and popped a photo up on twitter and I think I had just as many tweets about the playsuit I was wearing as I did the hair change!

When I first looked at it I was so in two minds regarding the cut out section.... my boobs aren't my best feature so having them on show isn't something I do....ever... but I was off out with the girls for a few drinks so thought - why not!
I'm not overly confident with my body and it's still a bit bloomin' chilly here so I decided to pair it with some black tights and my favourite lace up black boots. (which I have soooo over-worn but I can't help it... I love them.)

I LOVE the pattern so much, although it's a dark floral it still has those bright pretty colours to help it fit into the Spring season. The fit (size M) is perfect for me, I'm a size 10-12 and it feels really comfy, it is quite short for me (I'm around 5 8") but the floaty material hides this, thank goodness!

OOTD : Monochrome Monday

Lipstick : Mac Rebel
Hat : H&m
Faux Leather Jacket : New Look
Dogtooth Swing Dress* : The Fashion Bible
Tassle Bag : H&m
Chelsea Boots : ASOS

Black and white are probably the easiest colours out there to wear. When I'm getting dressed in the morning and am at a complete loss as to what to chuck on, 9 times out 10 I will head to something black or black and white. It's easy to wear and can look super glam even if you've put zero effort in!
I am lovely my black accesories at the moment - this jacket, hat and bag are all new in my life so I'm loving every opportunity I get to pop them on!
The dress is perfect for a nice daytime outfit, swing dresses have a special place in my heart - they look cute whilst hiding a multitude of bits and bobs that I am conscious of! I love the pattern on this one from The Fashion Bible, it's perfect for every season and I can see me getting alot of wear out of it this coming year!

My Festival Style & What's In My Festival Beauty Bag?

With festival season well underway and with Bestival (my fav) on the horizon I thought what better thing to do, in true beauty/fashion blogger style, than to share with you guys a cheeky Festival look and also my top beauty essentials for a Festival!

Recently Folli Follie asked me if I would like to join their My Festival Style campaign. I am a huge festival lover as you may already know. Living on the doorstep of two of the UK's biggest I always love to spend weeks and weeks planning my outfits for the weekend aswell as my hair & make-up choices (am I sad? no! I'm a girl!)
So obviously this campaign was right up my street and I jumped at the chance to be involved, with millions of ideas for outfits flooding my mind I settled for this one - something I can hopefully wear to Bestival in a few weeks time (*praying*)
Hat : Primark
Sunglasses : Primark
Necklace* : Folli Follie
Dress : Fashion Union
Watch* : Folli Follie
Bag : ASOS
Wellies : Hunter

So with the sun shining and music on I've gotten in the funky festival mood! I love this dress, it is from Fashion Union but I managed to get it half price in a sale at New Look! It's super comfy and as much as I love the look of playsuits in the summer - they aren't always festival practical!
This hat is something I was a little nervous about buying, it's a little OTT for me but it was a total bargain in Primark and I actually really like how it looks! Hat's are great, especially when it's sunny and you're outside for most of the day - protect yourselves people! Wellies are essential.... as well as sunglasses!

Folli Follie were so so lovely to send me some gorgeous items to help perfect my Festival look! I think a watch is a must have item for a Festival, with bands on at certain times and meeting people left, right and centre - you need to know the time 24/7! Yes we all have phones but when you're in a crowd or in a muddy field you don't always want to have to delve around in your bag to find your phone!
This watch is gorgeous, it is the Watchalicious Watch* (best name ever!) It's a super pretty rose gold (blogger fav right?) and I love that is doesn't look too bulky even on my tiny wrist! I have literally worn it everyday since receiving it, incredible quality and soooo pretty - I mean... look at it!
And the necklace, oh I love the necklace! It is the Rose Gold Carma Necklace* and it's gorgeous I'm obsessed, it goes with so much, I'm proper chuffed with it! (Yes, I just used the word chuffed!)

Now, style part down let's hit the beauty bits! Even though, yes there may be mud, there may be smelly toilets - hell, there may even be sick - us girls still want our beauty products near us at all times right? Why should a Festival be any different?
These are things that I always take with me and use when heading to a Festival.
Floral headbands ..... a total obvious cliche choice I know. But..... they look pretty and can seriously hide a bad hair day! I love this red and pink one from New Look* and the baby pink one I've had for years, they finish off a cute outfit perfectly.
False eyelashes are a must have for me at a festival! No worrying about re-applying mascara all day, these make anyone look glam and you can go as big as you want at a festival, anything goes! My favs are 107's or 101's from Eylure.

Eyeshadows after a whole day at the festival don't always look the best (well on me anyway!) as much as I'd love to have some crazy mutli-coloured look I always stick to my trusty neuttals! The Naked Basics* palette is perfect for me, so compact and gorgeous shades! (I'm such a wimp when it comes to eyeshadows!)

Lip products that are a 2 in 1 are also up there with my favourite things to take to a Festival! The new baby lips electro are perfect, amazing colour whilst keeping your lips hydrated!
It get hot seriously hot and sweaty in all those crowds so the Liz Earle Skin Tonic Spritzer is perfect for keeping you feeling refreshed and awake, I love spraying this across my chest and up my arms!

You wanna smell nice during your weekend of fun don't you? Travalo's are a godsend. I have used these for years and they were just made for things like this! Pump your favourite perfumes into the handy tiny atomizer! As well as this why not get some testers to take with you aswell? The new Hugo Boss Ma Vie* is gorgeous (you got even put a tester into your Travalo!
Suncream is a must, protecting your skin and doubling up as a moisturiser too! For my hair Umberto Giannini's Backcomb In A Bottle* is fab for keeping all that mane how you want it and looking big, bouncy and fabulous, plus a dry shampoo is a must for a weekend of madness, I love this one by Aussie
Tissues, tissues, tissues, you will be using poratloos alot.... lots of drinks are to blame there and there isn't always loo roll so I have have a pack of tissues in my bag constantly..... just hide them when your in the queue otherwise every Tom, Dick and Harry will be asking you for one!
Back to talking about portaloo's and all those other grimey places you'll come across.... anti-bac gel will make you feel alot better about life!

So there you are, a little look at a festival wardrobe idea and my fav beauty bits to take with me! Thanks so much Folli Follie for getting me involved, I love anything to do with Festivals and I've found this so much fun!

Have you been to any Festivals this year? Going to any?
