10 Things You Need To Pack For Disneyworld

Okay so you can probably tell I've had Disneyworld on the brain ALOT recently! The thought of being able to book my next trip in just a few months has got me so excited and constantly thinking about it! (I just need to keep the boyfriend on board until we book....)
I see so many people tweeting about DW at the moment and have had a few people ask me questions and for some advice over the last few weeks, so I thought I'd share a bit of Kirstie experience with the 10 things that are a MUST in my suitcase.

Comfortable Trainers
If there's one thing you are going to do alot of whilst in Orlando it is walking! I always take a variety of shoes with me but I always seem to throw on whatever trainers/converse I have when heading to a park for the day!
Comfy footwear is a must when heading out for the day, I couldn't imagine walking around in a pair of flip-flops for hours and hours on end, my feet would ache so much! (Saying this though a simple pair of flip-flops is a must for the pools and water parks, easy slip on sandals make life a whole lot easier)

Sunglasses
You are heading to the sunshine state and even if you end up going in storm season - you are still going to see some sunshine at least (you would hope!).
I cannot live without a pair of sunglasses, if the weather is super hot aswell you may not want to wear any make-up.... this is where they come in even handier!

Hands-Free Bag
Disneyworld is one of the most exciting places on earth so you are constantly going to be seeing and doing things so having a bag that you have to take on and off or put it down and pick it up again, when doing something, is probably the most annoying thing ever!
I always take a small across-body bag to keep all my essentials in! I can wear it all day and not have it get in the way and all my possessions are easily accessible! You don't want to be putting your handbag down everytime you want to take a photo or a selfie!

A Towel
A total must for the pools (if staying on site) and water parks! Not only are you fully prepared and don't haave to rent one but you can spot your stuff easily out of the huge aray of sun loungers there! The towel in the picture below is the one I took with me and it came in so handy!

 A Poncho
Orlando is known for it's sunshine... and showers! My boyfriend and I were caught in the rain almost everyday when we went last year and a poncho was something we hadn't thought of packing. This meant we spent about $8/10 or so each on buying a Disneyworld poncho! What we really should have done was bought a couple of bargains ones before we went and popped them in our bags! Save yourself some money - you will probably only chuck it away after anyway!

Anti-Bac Hand Gel
Disneyworld is host to thousands and thousands of people a day and you will be touching alot of the same stuff as those strangers so, for me, anti-bac is in my bag 24/7 without question! Something to pop on my hands after going on rides and before I eat!

Suncream & Aftersun
Even if the sky is cloudy - you are still going to be affected by the sun. I went to Blizzard Beach on a seriously cloudy day and came back with sunburn! A sensible factored suncream and aftersun is vital for a trip to Florida!

A Small Purse
Like I said before, I only like to take a small handy-sized bag with me to the parks, so with that comes a small purse! You don't need all your cards and bits and bobs with you (especially if you have your magic band linked to your bank account!) so I just like to take a small coin purse to pop all of my money into.

Brand New Perfume
I've said this many times on here - a brand new perfume on a holiday is a must for me! That way the scent will forever remind you of your amazing trip away :) Can't find one before you go? Grab one in the airport before you depart, that's what I did!

Portable Phone Charger
Yes, you don't want to forever be on your phone while you are on holiday - but there will be a few things you will need on there.
For me it was mostly my camera (obviously) and my Disney Experience app! The app helps you organise your whole trip - from fast passes to park timings to restaurant bookings! It's handy to have that to look at at all times so running out of charge isn't an option! You can get these charging sticks so cheap nowadays and they are so easy to just chuck in your handbag!

What's top of your packing list?

Carrera 5024S Black BIL Sunglasses

The sun has got his hat on - hip hip hip horray! The sun has got his hat on so........... we need to chat SUNGLASSES!
Yup! Today I'm talking all about shades with you guys and in particular this new snazzy pair I have from Carrera Sunglasses.

These were sent to me by the fabulous people at Sunglasses Shop - one of the greatest places online to hunt through designer glasses with hundreds of different styles from your favourite high end brands.

I am a BIG fan of cat eye sunglasses and most of my pairs are that design and mainly for one particular reason....
I shan't beat around the bush - I have a large forehead.... which I'm not a huge fan of so glasses with a large frame normally suit me best (and kind of hides the 5head)!

This pair is from the Carrera Craze collection which is the most fashion focused from the brand. The frame is black whilst the lenses are a slightly less harsh grey shade. I definitely prefer it when the lenses are dark, I hate it when people can still see my eyes!
These are a great fit for me and I'm super pleased with them!

At first I wasn't that keen on the arms as they are a different texture and felt a little cheaper but I have got used to them now and having been eyeing up the different colours available!
These are priced at £89 - if you want anymore information or want to check out the different colours they do.. click here.

This Week I'm Loving... #15

The Girl On The Train
Yes I am finally reading again! I took four books from my parents bookcase a few weeks ago, this being one of them! My Mum read it recently and said it was brilliant so I thought I would give it a go. So far, so good!

Hollyoaks
I know this is obviously something I watch every week but I'm loving the storylines at the moment! I can't wait for Mercedes to come back and for Kim to be revealed as a nutter haha!

Clearasil Rapid Action Treatment Cream
Unfortunately the last week or so I have had some friends join me on my face..... the big red ugly kind! This stuff is what I run too as soon as I have an unwanted zit - it works like a charm for me and has helped me vend these beasts off!

Sunshine (Finally!)
ENGLAND HAS HAD SUNSHINE! Yes it's true that big ball of fire in the sky does actually work. It's amazing how much it can change my mood and put a smile on my face!
I went for a lovely walk along to seafront with my favourite songs playing in the week and it really lifted my spirits - it's the little things in life!

Ralph Lauren 5150 Sunglasses
With sun comes sunglasses, these are my total and utter favs at the moment - I did a blog post on them a few months ago! They are great for my face shape (aka a massive face!) and I think the pink detailing on the arms and inside.

Special K Porridge Pot
I love porridge and I love easy porridge. I have been having these for lunch everyday with a few almonds and raisins chucked in - they are great if you are on the go and so, so yummy!

Revenge
I know this was in my 'TWIL' post last week BUT I have still been watching it ... ALOT. I'm half way through season 2 already and am still loving Emily Thorne and her antics!

MAC Viva Glam Miley Lipstick
Most worn lip colour of the week has to go to Miley once again! I love this bright pink shade and have even been wearing it to work!
Writing
Like I said earlier in my "Me Project" post, one of my missions for this year is to write a book! I have now started to draft out my idea and expand my thoughts for it, hopefully soon I can get started on the proper writing - I'm excited for it.

Zoeva Luxe Cheek Brush
This has been my favourite brush for contouring for months now ..... and I'm not sure how it hasn't been mentioned on here yet! It's the perfect angled shape to use with my matte bronzer and highlighters to create great daily contour!

Lee Stafford Poker Straight Flat Iron Protection
Since getting my haircut I have been styling it alot more, which of course means alot more products and alot more protection! The 2 heat protectant's I was using have totally run out so after hunting through my haircare stash I found this beaut which I hadn't used in month! I'd forgotten how fab it was and how much I love the scent!

Ralph Lauren 5150 : Sunglasses Shop

Now if you think that sunglasses are only for those summer months then you are seriously mistaken!
That winter sun can be a totally blinding when it's out (it does happen I promise, it's not always doom and gloom), so having a good pair of sunglasses is definitely a priority of mine even if it's that advent calendar time of year!
Cat eye glasses have been storming the sunglasses scene this past year or so, with celebrity's and high street stores embracing the trend they have been everywhere!

Recently the SunglassesShop asked me if I would like to try one of their pairs of sunglasses, so of course I leaped at the chance!
Like I said before, sunglasses are something I need all year round and I always like to have pair in my handbag..... just in case that cheeky little sun decides to pop it's head through the never-ending clouds!
These are the 5150 sunglasses from the fabulous Ralph Lauren in the shade - Tortoise Pink Plum and they are priced at £77.
I think sunglasses are one of the few things that I don't mind paying more than high-street prices for. Alot of sunglasses out there don't have the right amount of protection in the lenses and the fit can be a bit rubbish - so you always know when buying designer sunglasses they are going to be a higher quality!

I love the shape of these glasses, I'm a bit fussy when it comes to size as I feel like I have  huge head so need a fairly big frame to suit me and the shade of the lense is lovely too - I don't like it when they really see-through and you can see my beady eyes clearly!

Keep your eyes peeled on my instagram and twitter for more photos of these beauts - I wore them the other day and got some lovely compliments, I'm officially obsessed and praying for more sunshine this winter... I can't wait until next year to wear these more!

Make sure you check out SunglassesShop for a huge range of designer glasses at really reasonable prices - they could make the perfect Christmas present for someone.... your yourself!

My Festival Style & What's In My Festival Beauty Bag?

With festival season well underway and with Bestival (my fav) on the horizon I thought what better thing to do, in true beauty/fashion blogger style, than to share with you guys a cheeky Festival look and also my top beauty essentials for a Festival!

Recently Folli Follie asked me if I would like to join their My Festival Style campaign. I am a huge festival lover as you may already know. Living on the doorstep of two of the UK's biggest I always love to spend weeks and weeks planning my outfits for the weekend aswell as my hair & make-up choices (am I sad? no! I'm a girl!)
So obviously this campaign was right up my street and I jumped at the chance to be involved, with millions of ideas for outfits flooding my mind I settled for this one - something I can hopefully wear to Bestival in a few weeks time (*praying*)
Hat : Primark
Sunglasses : Primark
Necklace* : Folli Follie
Dress : Fashion Union
Watch* : Folli Follie
Bag : ASOS
Wellies : Hunter

So with the sun shining and music on I've gotten in the funky festival mood! I love this dress, it is from Fashion Union but I managed to get it half price in a sale at New Look! It's super comfy and as much as I love the look of playsuits in the summer - they aren't always festival practical!
This hat is something I was a little nervous about buying, it's a little OTT for me but it was a total bargain in Primark and I actually really like how it looks! Hat's are great, especially when it's sunny and you're outside for most of the day - protect yourselves people! Wellies are essential.... as well as sunglasses!

Folli Follie were so so lovely to send me some gorgeous items to help perfect my Festival look! I think a watch is a must have item for a Festival, with bands on at certain times and meeting people left, right and centre - you need to know the time 24/7! Yes we all have phones but when you're in a crowd or in a muddy field you don't always want to have to delve around in your bag to find your phone!
This watch is gorgeous, it is the Watchalicious Watch* (best name ever!) It's a super pretty rose gold (blogger fav right?) and I love that is doesn't look too bulky even on my tiny wrist! I have literally worn it everyday since receiving it, incredible quality and soooo pretty - I mean... look at it!
And the necklace, oh I love the necklace! It is the Rose Gold Carma Necklace* and it's gorgeous I'm obsessed, it goes with so much, I'm proper chuffed with it! (Yes, I just used the word chuffed!)

Now, style part down let's hit the beauty bits! Even though, yes there may be mud, there may be smelly toilets - hell, there may even be sick - us girls still want our beauty products near us at all times right? Why should a Festival be any different?
These are things that I always take with me and use when heading to a Festival.
Floral headbands ..... a total obvious cliche choice I know. But..... they look pretty and can seriously hide a bad hair day! I love this red and pink one from New Look* and the baby pink one I've had for years, they finish off a cute outfit perfectly.
False eyelashes are a must have for me at a festival! No worrying about re-applying mascara all day, these make anyone look glam and you can go as big as you want at a festival, anything goes! My favs are 107's or 101's from Eylure.

Eyeshadows after a whole day at the festival don't always look the best (well on me anyway!) as much as I'd love to have some crazy mutli-coloured look I always stick to my trusty neuttals! The Naked Basics* palette is perfect for me, so compact and gorgeous shades! (I'm such a wimp when it comes to eyeshadows!)

Lip products that are a 2 in 1 are also up there with my favourite things to take to a Festival! The new baby lips electro are perfect, amazing colour whilst keeping your lips hydrated!
It get hot seriously hot and sweaty in all those crowds so the Liz Earle Skin Tonic Spritzer is perfect for keeping you feeling refreshed and awake, I love spraying this across my chest and up my arms!

You wanna smell nice during your weekend of fun don't you? Travalo's are a godsend. I have used these for years and they were just made for things like this! Pump your favourite perfumes into the handy tiny atomizer! As well as this why not get some testers to take with you aswell? The new Hugo Boss Ma Vie* is gorgeous (you got even put a tester into your Travalo!
Suncream is a must, protecting your skin and doubling up as a moisturiser too! For my hair Umberto Giannini's Backcomb In A Bottle* is fab for keeping all that mane how you want it and looking big, bouncy and fabulous, plus a dry shampoo is a must for a weekend of madness, I love this one by Aussie
Tissues, tissues, tissues, you will be using poratloos alot.... lots of drinks are to blame there and there isn't always loo roll so I have have a pack of tissues in my bag constantly..... just hide them when your in the queue otherwise every Tom, Dick and Harry will be asking you for one!
Back to talking about portaloo's and all those other grimey places you'll come across.... anti-bac gel will make you feel alot better about life!

So there you are, a little look at a festival wardrobe idea and my fav beauty bits to take with me! Thanks so much Folli Follie for getting me involved, I love anything to do with Festivals and I've found this so much fun!

Have you been to any Festivals this year? Going to any?

OOTD : Summer Lovin' Smock & Sandals

It's an OOTD! I feel like I haven't done one of these in forever (sorry), mainly because 50% of my life I'm in my work uniform and 40% of the time I'm in pjs which only leaves 10% of my life trying to look cute!
Nevertheless I love fashion and on my days off I like to glam up and put a bit of effort in, even if I don't have many plans!
So here is a little look at an outfit I put together the other day for a day in the sunshine... (yes my legs are white, lets not all dwell on it - I'll be in Florida soon and you won't be laughing then!)
Lol at my feet on my blog... #footblogger
Floral Headband : Primark
Sunglasses : Primark
Dress : River Island
Bag : ASOS
Watch : eBay
Sandals : Daniel Footwear*
I had been looking at this dress for a long while on ASOS (it's RI but I always like to get my stuff from their on ASOS due to my free delivery with ASOS Premier!) - I've always been a bit dubious about smock dresses as I'm not really really slim so I worry they will make me look even bigger, like wearing a tent! As it was in the sale (total bargain!) I thought I'd just order it and see and as soon as I tried it on I fell in love!
I really like the unusal half and half pattern and it is so comfy... and thankfully doesn't make me look like a size 24!
The bag is from ASOS and again in the sale (I like a bargain alright!), super cute everyday bag that I have used constantly since getting it!
Last up I'm going to talk about these gorgeous metallic snakeskin sandals! These were sent to me last month from the extremely lovely people at Daniel Footwear, a brand which I had heard of and always gazed at when strolling around Gunwharf Keys in Portsmouth.
These are the Daniel Tinged Womens Bronzed Reptile Gladiator Sandal* and I can't begin to tell you how amazing the quality of these is.

I'm never one for spending alot on sandals and things for summer as I normally just buy new ones each year! These are quite expensive in my opinion but after wearing them I think the price is totally jusifiable!
You can tell alot of time has gone into creating these, I've never had shoes that felt so nice!
They are so so comfortable and really do fit like a dream. I was a little worried at first as the initial zipping up at the back felt so tight and I was so scared that I was going to zip my skin up with it (cringe) but once on they don't feel tight at all and are a perfect fit! I like that they have an easy zip fastening , lots of buckles and things put me off shoes, especially in the summer when you need them to be quick and easy to take on and off!
I have been wearing these so much, they look great on and have been amazing for this crazy hot weather we have been having and are 100% coming with me to Orlando!

So they we have it, another OOTD for you guys! Please let me know what you think, I always get so nervous when uploading posts like this... I'm such a wimp!
