Sensitive Teeth Rescue With Sensodyne

So it was the end of last month when I ventured to the dentist to have a dreaded filling. It sucked, I hated it, but I couldn't help but laugh when I left the dentist chair and checked my e-mails.

I mean what were the chances of me having an e-mail from a huge dental brand haha, it did make me giggle!
Sensodyne are one of the countries biggest dental brands and I have been a fan for years.
I've suffered with sensitive teeth on and off since I was a child so being offered to try out one of Sensodyne's Sensitivity SOS packages put a huge smile on my face. (Even if it was wonky from the anesthetic!)
Sensodyne NEW Cool Mint Mouthwash*, Sensodyne Repair & Protect Toothpaste*

The mouthwash is the newest product bought out from Sensodyne and I've completely fallen in love with it.
Alot of the time I am put off of mouthwashes due to the strength, I've used so many that just feel like they are burning my mouth and I can't stand using them for more than a few seconds!
Targeted for sensitive teeth this twice a day mouthwash has a lovely refreshing cool mint flavour which helps keep my mouth feeling funky fresh for hours on end and isn't overly strong in anyway so it is actually bearable for the 60 seconds of swishing!

The Repair & Protect toothpaste next and this is a must have if you suffer with sensitivity!
This toothpaste repairs, strengthens and protects your teeth continuously and the minty fresh taste leaves your total mouth feeling fresh and clean.
I've been using this at least twice a day for the last few weeks and have been loving it and I've noticed a slight change in sensitivity aswell which is a brucie bonus!

What are your favourite dental products at the moment?

I Love... Cleansing Hand Gel Collection

As we all probably know by now - I'm a bit of an anti-bac addict.
I couldn't tell you how many I have lying around or have used in the past but it is literally countless!
I always have one in my bag and am forever trying to find new ones to try so too see a new collection being released had me very excited!

You probably all recognise the 'I love...' brand - they have a huge collection out and I always seem to end up with at least one of their Christmas gifts from someone each year!

When I heard they were releasing a new range of hand gels I was over the moon - 1. because I'm a germophobe and 2. because their products always smell incredible!
Cleansing Hand Gels in : Raspberry & Blackberry*, Mango & Papaya*, Coconut & Cream*, Strawberries & Cream*.

As I had suspected - these hand gels smell incredible! My favourites have to be coconut & cream and strawberries and cream, I love a sweet scent and the smell really lasts.

Online it does state that these are an anti-bacterial sanitizer but on the packaging it doesn't, for me this is a little disappointing as I think you'd like to know it is anti-bac when you pick it up and read it. I'd normally only ever pick up a hand gel if it said 'kills 99.9%' of germs - like most do.

With the jojoba beads in the formula these leave your hands really hydrated and soft (and most importantly clean!) making these the perfect handbag accessory!

At only £1.25 for a 65ml these are a total steal so it's totally reasonable to buy the whole collection!

Zoella Beauty Kissy Missy Lip Balm & YouTuber Success Talk

When Zoe Sugg announced another collection being added to her 'Zoella Beauty' range I was all ears!
I had bought a couple of bits from the first collection and really enjoyed them and hearing that this range was 'tutti frutti' made me definitely open to trying it out as it sounded right up my street (I'm all about scents, especially when they are sweet!).
After I had watch Zoe's video on her new releases I decided that the lip balm 'Kissy Missy' had my name all over it!
I'm a big lip product person.... it's kind of embarrassing how many I own when I only have one mouth.... but this little pot looked lovely and I like having tinted lip balms in the summer - lipsticks melting is just heartbreaking.

The pot is small - obviously - a little larger than a carmex pot and is a plain, clear plastic apart from the lid which has the name and branding.
The scent is nice, I've been trying to figure out what it smell similar too and for the life of me I can't work it out.... I'm rubbish I know!
Now the colour. I'm so impressed with the colour! I thought maybe, for the cheap price of £3, this might be really sheer and a bit like a nivea lipbalm or rose vaseline, but I was wrong.
This is a bright bublegum fuchsia shade and is really buildable, although it doesn't take alot to give yourself fun kissy wissy lips!
I've been using this after my lush bubblegum scrub and my lips have felt so soft and smooth with a cute pop of colour!

For the price this is great, a handbag must for me this summer!

Now.....while I'm on the subject quick I just wanted to chat about Youtubers and their many deals and partnerships that seem to be happening weekly.
To be honest that I'm kind of getting fed up of people moaning about Youtubers having these opportunities - if it was you, you would leap at the chance (I know I would) - I really don't see the problem in these ranges and internet personalities making money on merch/own brands.

Don't want it - don't buy it, but whats the point of saying these people 'don't deserve it' or 'they just want the money' it is their job at the end of the day of course they are going to try and make money.
The internet is so fickle and people, including Zoe, don't know when their time will be up - I don't blame them for taking everything they can while the chances are there.
This blog and doing a few youtube videos here and there takes up so much of my time and I put alot of effort into it so I can imagine how much work people like Zoe have to put into everything they are achieving! My thoughts - You go girl!
You may not agree with how I feel about it but that's life, we all have our different thoughts, it's kind of how to world works my loves!

Love you guys, thank you again for visiting A Yellow Brick Blog whether you are re-visiting or here for the first time - you rock! xoxo

Barry M Lip Boss High Powered Lip Gloss - 5 Thinking Outside The Box

If you ask me what my favourite cheap lip gloss has been over the last 8 years or so my answer would hands down be Barry M's collection.
I've talked about them countless times, recommended them to countless people and bought a countless number of tubes myself, they are products that have just constantly been there for me to grab whenever.

So seeing a NEW lipgloss collection being released from my old faithful brand made me very happy indeed. With closer inspection I think this may be replacing the current lip glosses... but don't quote me on that.
The reason I think they might be replacing them is that this is very similar to my usual 'toffee' lip gloss from Barry M.
But don't get me wrong - this doesn't mean I'm not disappointed in the slightest!

There are 5 glosses in the new Lip Boss range, from a bold red to a pretty coral, so there's got to be at least one you'll be a fan of.
This is shade 5 and it's called called 'Thinking Outside The Box' - all the Lip Boss' have cute names which I love as just a number is boring right?!

The packaging is cute, bigger than the other glosses which is good as it possibly means more product and it comes with a handy doe-foot applicator. (the best type in my opinion for lip glosses.)
The gloss itself is super smooth and not sticky in the slightest. The scent of this particular shade is toffee, so sweet and yummy, I literally cannot stop applying it.
I'm really looking forward to trying out the rest fo the collection, I'm hoping one of them is a bubblegum flavour like the older ones - that is one of my ultimate favs ever.

The Lip Boss' are priced at £4.49 each, total bargains in my opinion, this beauty is already in my handbag so I can reapply it wherever I may be.

Britney Spears Limited Edition Rocker Femme Fantasy Eau De Parfum

Britney Spears Rocker Femme Fantasy 50ml*

Hands up if you've ever owned a Britney Spears fragrance........ I thought as much!

Ever since I received my first bottle of Curious for Christmas as a young teen I have had my fair share of bottles sitting on my dresser.

Britney has had a countless perfumes over the years and today I'm going to be talking about the newest of the bunch Rocker Femme Fantasy.

Another twist on a popular favourite, this is the new edgy cousin of Fantasy (one of her ultimate best sellers!).
As you can see the bottle design is pretty much the same as the original but with a black ombre faded bottom and black detailing - without a doubt this is the rocker version!

I used to wear the original Fantasy alot when I was about 19/20, but this wasn't the best time in my life so the smell of it now kind of puts me on edge as stupid as that sounds (Anxiety was a big factor in my life back then and just a sniff of the perfume I used to wear sends me straight back to that horrible time :(!)
This initially had me a bit concerned as I was worried it would be really familiar and I would never want to wear it. Fortunately it isn't overly similar to the original Fantasy scent, which had me let out a huge sigh of relief when I received it!

Rocker Femme Fantasy is said to capture the edgy attitude and energy of Brit's rock'n'roll persona, it is both fruity and oriental with hints of coconut cream and blackberry liquor.
"The heart of the perfume consists of gardenia, jasmine and flowers of violet with a lasting finish that is provided by base notes consisting of Amber, musk, cashmere and vanilla."

(Describing perfumes via typing on the internet isn't the easiest of things so there's a quick description for you.)

Yes you can still smell that familiar undertone of Fantasy but this version is alot lighter and sweeter, which is perfect for the upcoming months.
Fantasy is quite a heavy, thick scent so it was always a bit much in the warmer months, so this is a great alternative for summer!

Another winner by Miss. Spears... she can do no wrong in my eyes!
This is a limited edition fragrance so make sure you check it out while you can.

FUN BRITNEY FRAGRANCE FACTS
  • As of 2009 Britney had sold 30 million bottles worldwide. (So god knows how many it is now 6 years later!)
  • As of 2012 her fragrances brand had grossed over $1.5 BILLION!
  • As of 2013, a bottle of Britney Spears fragrance is said to be sold every 15 seconds worldwide.

Now that is some impressive stuff from the pop princess, she has hands down won the celebrity fragrance race and I think it would be hard for someone to ever come close to the success her collection has had.

Check out Rocker Femme Fantasy at The Fragrance Shop (www.thefragranceshop.co.uk)  now!

Zoella Beauty : Blissful Mistful Body Mist & Let's Glow Candle

Who's Zoella? .... Um, excuse me? Have you not ventured onto the internet in the last 5 years? Zoe Sugg has got to be the most successful UK Beauty Vlogger & Blogger out there and I for one am a huge fan!
Being one of those Zoella fans meant that when her first beauty range Zoella Beauty went live I squealed a major excitement squeal ... had to check it out and order a few bits!
I mean just the pictures online had me sold with these beauties! Zoe has nailed the cute chic girly girl packaging throughout her whole range and the pricing is on point for her well-known younger teen audience too.

The products are totally affordable and won't break your piggy bank - however old you are!
I ordered these bits from Feel Unique but you can also get them from Superdrug online and in selected stores. (Not my local one though obviously as my home town is 78 years behind the rest of the UK!)

I decided to start off by just ordering a couple of items from the range and these were the two that caught my eye the most... although I do love the look of that make-up bag with Zoe's eyes on!

Blissful Mistful is a 45ml fragranced body mist which comes in a lovely square glass bottle with the classic logo and pretty polka dots.
I bought this as something to have in my handbag to make sure I'm always smelling nice throughout the day but it seems to have turned into a little more than that!
The scent is light fairly sweet smell which actually really really reminds me of something I think it may be D&G light blue.
As well as using this on myself I have also been using it around the house - it's made everywhere smell lovely haha! The 45ml bottle is £8, I'm looking forward to seeing how long it lasts!

Next is the Let's Glow candle (I love all the name's of Zoe's products)! This candle is £5 and the cute packaging will help it fit into any chic home! When I first saw the candle I was a bit shocked at how small it was but I've burnt it a good few times now and it's still going so it wasn't a total rip off! I like the scent, it's a little synthetic but it's a nice floral homely smell especially for winter! I'm so crap at explaining scents but it is nice haha!

Have you tried anything from the Zoella Beauty range yet? What are your thoughts?

Dove Purely Pampering Pistachio Cream and Magnolia Lotion Review

Pistachio products are a bit yummy aren't they?!
There aren't actually that many (that I know of) out there on those drugstore shop floors, so when I saw that Dove were releasing a new member of the purely pampering family with pistachio cream and magnolia I knew I had to try it out.
Now I have been trying to get my hands on this for weeks and weeks after seeing a post about it somewhere and I just couldn't find it!
So when I strolled into my local Suerdrug recently and spotted it on offer for only £1.99 (I think that's half price) I nearly had a mental excitement breakdown!
BARGAIN!
I've started to lean towards lotions over butters alot more recently! Mainly because they are alot easier to rub in therefore are alot quicker to apply (I am totes lazy!)

I have been LOVING this stuff!
I have been popping it on every morning (and sometimes in the evening too) which is not like me at all... normally my limbs are lucky if they see lotion twice a week...I know teribble aren't I!
A majorly yummy scent which lasts and lasts! I've been popping this on first thing and I can still smell it on my skin at like 3/4pm! That is some staying power!
My skin feels lovely and soft and I haven't seen any signs of dry skin in a long while!
I've already gone and bought another bottle while it's still on offer as I think I am going to be using this alot, especially over the upcoming summer months!

POTW #13 : Collection Bronze Glow Mosiac Powder

This was a very spur of the moment product last week! I was in Superdrug just having a browse- spotted this, saw it was only £2.99 and though - I'll have that!
This is the Collection Bronze Glow Mosiac Powder in shade - 1 Sunkissed and it my product of the week!
I have been using this daily since purchasing it and it has joined the prestigious ranks of my make-up bag (not shoved in  storage like alot of other things!)

A gorgeous shimmery bronzer which is up there with my favourite shimmer bricks! I have been popping this on the apples of my cheeks and am loving the glow/tan it has been giving me!
For £2.99 you can't really go wrong - Collection have been really impressing me lately!

Bargain Beauty : MUA Pistachio Ice Cream Nail Polish

Another bargain beauty post today! I love discovering and picking up cheap products! Recently I was having a browse arounf Superdrug for a new pastel nail polish colour when I stumbled across the MUA stand.
I saw the price tag and the name and was sold - Pistachio Ice Cream Nail Polish for just£1 , my sort of price!
Now for the price I wasn't looking for something incredible and I knew it wasn't going to be the greatest nail polish ever made, I just wanted a nice shade which is easy to apply and doesn't take to long to create an opaque colour. (not much to ask!)

The packaging I have noticed has been given alot of flak online - it's clearly similar to Essie's classic design. My opinion..... oh well! If I can get a cute nail polish for just £1 I don't really care who they've copied!
Now of course.. this isn't the greatest polish in the world but I love the colour - it is perfect for spring/summer - I am obsessing with pastels. (I know I'm not the only one!)

It doesn't give the greatest application, very streaky - although I'm not the greatest nail painter in the world (I'm very good at painting my fingers though...) and it does need a good few coats to get a good opaque look.
Overall for £1 you can't really go wrong - it's better than the Sinful colours polish I previously tried (another bargain brand!) ...and I think this is cheaper!

Have you tried MUA polishes before? I think I'm definitely going to purchase a few more colours!

Accessorize Lipstick : Shade 6 - Passionate Review

So I know that I've done a couple of "lip" posts recently and I actually have a few more coming up too (I am obsessed  but this is a brand I haven't bought from before so wanted to share my purchase and my thoughts!
So.... I recently went for a little browse around my local Superdrug to see if they had a new products or good deals on and I found myself checking out a stand that I don't normally pay alot of attention too - Accessorize.
The packaging to it all is so pretty and unique and really attracted me to all the products (and not to mention the fact they all have moment off at the moment!)
I settled on a lipstick (of course, this is me we're talking about!) and it is shade 6 and called Passionate.
Now these lipsticks are normally £4.95 - a pretty good price as it is but they have £1 off at the moment so are the bargain price of £3.95!
I also managed to use some of my Superdrug points that I had - a whopping.... £2, which bought it down to just £1.95 - now that is a steal!
I chose this colour as I am currently on the hunt for more Autumn shades for my collection. I have so many pinks, corals, purples and reds and I think I need some more dark and sultry colours to choose from!
Even though it looks black in the tube it is a really really dark purple! A colour that in previous years I have been way too chicken to wear but now I am all for it - bring it on, I am taking the plunge!
This is a perfect purple colour and I think it would suit a number of skintones and hair colours!
I would like to apologise for the rubbish lighting for the swatch, as you can probably tell as you go through these photos the sun went down on this particular 'photoshoot' haha! Hopefully I'll be able to tweet or Instagram a better photo soon!

Have you guys tried anything from Accessorize's cosmetics? Make sure you enter my giveway girls and boys - link in the sidebar!!!

MUA 1D Lipstick : Rock Me - Louis

Okay... don't judge me. But yes it is true - I have bought one of the One Direction Kiss You lipsticks from MUA!
I saw these a while ago and was actually really impressed when I first had a look, although I have to say I was definitely the oldest person there looking through the stand and I may have had a few looks of some tweens haha!
But for me it's not about the band, it's about the make-up!
Now I do like myself a bit of 1D (Zayn to be precise), I can't say I am a huge fan girl - but I do like them and their music!
So (like most of you aswell I bet) I wanted to have a look at this make-up collection everyone had be raving about! I know I'm a little late on uploading this post  as the Kiss You lipsticks came out months ago but I've been umming and arring about getting it for so long! (Although I have no idea why as they are a bargain!)
This shade is called "Rock Me" and it is the Louis shade!
I really liked all of the colours but thought I'd just pick up 1 to start off with. This is a gorgeous baby lavendar pink colour, such a pretty and original shade!
I have to say I love the packaging and the fact the lipstick is embossed with "1D" and " x and o's" it looks so cool and makes it look alot more expensive than it is, I'm impressed boys!
It is really soft and moisturising and once you have it on it stays on really well - although I was sad to use it for the first time and say goodbye to that cool 1D logo on the top!
The only thing I'd say is that it does need a few coats to get a good opaque colour.
This is perfect for both a casual day-to-day look and for a night out with a full face of make-up - I love it!
For only £3 I highly recommended these lipsticks - go check out the rest of the collection girls and boys, the other 4 are a total range of shades so there is something to please everyone!

Have you tried any of the MUA 1D Kiss You lipsticks?
