Well.... this is a product I have been waiting months and months for. After seeing new sprays, lotions and hand creams in my favourite Soap & Glory scent I was hoping and wishing that a hand gel might be next on the list AND look - it's here!
As soon as I saw this announced on twitter I was buzzing like a bee to get my hands on it! I ordered it via Boots.com and had it sent to my local store for free - so easy and I had it within 24 hours, perfect! Anti-bacterial hand gels are a MUST for my handbag, I can't live without them, I'm such a germophobe when I'm out in public. This is obviously fabulous, I LOVE the Sugar Crush vanilla and sweet lime scent, the non-drying formula is a bonus during this time of year and the packaging.... cute as always! Big thumbs up for Soap & Glory, other product from them that I will be using daily.

Hello my lovelies and welcome back (or hiiii for the first time) to A Yellow Brick Blog!
Today I'm going to talking about memories.
Memories, memories, memories and my total love for them, especially when it comes to photos.
My home is surrounded in photos of my friends, family and events from throughout my life and it really is true when people say a picture holds a thousand words.
I have been very lucky over the last few years to have made some of the most incredible memories - from travelling the states with my best friend and seeing things I never dreamed I would be able to, to moving out for the first time and having the holiday of a lifetime with my boyfriend and I amso, so grateful to have had these experiences.
LHC is a children's hospice based in Essex who specialise in making special memories for children with life threatening conditions, something I think we would all love to get behind, help and support with.
Solopress were kind enough to create a gorgeous photobook full of photos of some of my favourite memories for me along with an amazing new diary and a selfie stick! (Yay I finally have one now!!)
I was overwhelmed when this little box of goodies arrived and looking through the book put a smile on my face from ear to ear, so many happy and fun times all in one pretty place.
The diary is such an amazing idea aswell - each page has a day of the year and there are 5 sections, so you can write in it for 5 years! I can't wait to start it now and see what I get upto and what memories I can make!
Now onto how YOU can help raise money for the amazing Little Havens Care...
All you have to do is upload a special photo of yours to Twitter using the hashtag #alittlememory and nominate a friend to do the same!
For every person that tweets a photo using the hashtag the awesome people at Solopress will donate £1 to the children at the hospiceto help them create their very own special memories.
Get that chain flowing by tagging a friend and watch the money build and build! It is literally THAT simple!
It's a bit sad to say it but it's true - my iPhone is basically another limb. Whenever I'm not doing anything important my 5s is in my hand, it's quite embarrassing to admit that really but it really is the last thing I look at at night and the first thing I look at in the morning.
I'm not quite sure how I lived without one.
Barclays Banking
I can be a bit pants with money and a bit lazy when it comes to going online and signing in with that little pocket contraption so this app is a total life-saver for me.
I can check my account, pay my bills, move money between accounts and lots more from the comfort of my phone! It takes me 2 seconds to tap in my 5 digit passcode and get immediate access to my account so I can keep upto date with my spending and finances 24/7! SO helpful.
Clue
Well, this is a girly one for you! A period tracker! I have been using this app for about a year now and really couldn't live without it. It's so helpful and literally helps you to get all the information you need and helps you to keep track of everything! If you are forgetful or need to have a good look and your cycle I would highly recommend this!
Whatsapp
Group chats are life. I get to talk to my best friends all day everyday, so even if we can't see each other another all the time we can all still speak and have our standard ridiculous conversations! Plus - this is the best way to send photos and videos to each other!
Tube Map
When I head to London I no longer have the worry or fear of the tube because I have this app! Type in where you are and where you want to go and it tells you what line, how many stops and how long it will take - it is a god send and I will never delete it!
Twitter
This is a pretty obvious one which I'm sure you were all waiting to see in this list. I bloomin' love Twitter and would go as far to say I am probably addicted. ('the first step is acceptance.') I am on Twitter constantly so I can't really imagine life with the app! Any news I want to know about or questions I have Twitter is always my first port of call.
I tweet too much. (@KirstieLouiseS if you didn't know.... I'm so close to 10,000 followers, eeek!)
What are your favourite apps?

A couple of months ago me and the lovely Emma from notyouraverage decided to create a little Christmas box swap for each other!
There's wasn't much interest for a secret santa this year with other bloggers (due to some not so great experiences for some people last year) so we thought we would just do something between just the two of us!

It's July and it's time to talk about those special people who are living in my snazzy sidebar this month!
Yes if you scroll down and look to the right you will notice a few lovely blog buttons sat there all pretty and blog-like! These are 3 fab ladies so of course it was necessary to feature them in a post for you all to show their awesomeness..... Introducing .........
Hi! My name is Michelle, I started Thou Shalt Not Covet as a blog dedicated to my obsession with beautiful things, it has gradually evolved to focus on fashion, beauty, and jewellery, product reviews and features, nail art, wedding plans and lifestyle updates - a bit of everything really! Please feel free to come and say hi!
Michelle's Product Of The Month : Indeed LabsHydraluron Moisture Booster Serum
Hi, I'm Sarah and I'm an 18 year old beauty junkie and Forensics Student from Scotland. I started my blog as a way for me to share my love for make-up, skin care - and even fashion - with people, as my friends and family were fed up with me constantly talking about it. Those Stars That Shine has become one of my only creative outlets and I don't plan on giving it up any time soon.
My blog has been around since June 2012, but unfortunately I neglected it. I now post quite regularly with two to three posts a week. On my blog you can find lots of beauty reviews, the odd OOTD and occasionally a a little bit of lifestyle. If there are any posts you'd like to see I would be thrilled to hear your ideas.
I love talking to other bloggers and in general meeting new people, so please feel free to come on over and say hey.
Sarah's Product Of The Month : Sanctuary Polishing Hot Cloth Cleanser
I am a Law graduate with a love of fashion. I love to shop, read and spend far too many hours on Pinterest drooling over street fashion inspo. Oh, and I also love coffee and doughnuts a worrying amount. I'm not keen on the gym, but I do love to dance.
I decided to create my own personal style blog so I can hopefully provide inspiration for others, and as somewhere to share my thoughts on everything from current trends, celebrity fashion to catwalk shows. You are also likely to find a smattering of food, travel and beauty post throughout my blog too!
Frankie's Product Of The Month : Barry M's Gelly Nail Polish in shades Pomegranate & Coconut.
Want to be a Ruby Slipper and come and hang out on A Yellow Brick Blog for a month? All the info is - here.

I have a sweet tooth. A real big one - I'm 99% sure I have a sugar addiction! One of my favourite snacks/treats ever is popcorn. Weather I'm at the cinema, at home or on the go - popcorn is one of those snacks I can eat at any time!
So finding a brand which is totally guilt free that still tastes amazing is an absolute god send.
Metcalfe's Skinny are one popular new brand on the scene!
I had noticed them alot over the last couple of months on twitter, lots of praise from other bloggers left me intrigued.... and hungry!
Then just a couple of weeks ago an e-mail was waiting for me in my inbox asking if I would like to join Metcalfe's Skinny Topcorn Tribe.
With joy I squealed and answered yes yes yes please and a few days later there was a box of treats waiting for me at home ready to dig into!
Now not only did I receive the topcorn I had heard so much about but some of their snazzy corn'ers too - both my boyfriend and I couldn't wait to try them!
Metcalfe's skinny have a range of interesting and unique flavours for you to choose from - both sweet and savory so there is going to be something for everyone!
To my surprise I actually feel in love with the Chilli Tweet Corn'ers. I'm never normally one for anything spicy but these tasted amazing.
With a tomato tang these thick corn crisps are so moreish - I am on a mission to find them in my local area..... although where I live can be a it slow on the uptake - thank god for the internet!
My ultimate favourite has to be the Chocolate Crackle Topcorn (which came as no surprise!) This yummy topcorn has been drizzle with metcalfe's own chocolate crackle which tastes just like chocolate and toffee! I am obsessed with these - they are only 230 calories per bag which a great size - it took me two sittings to eat it (which says alot!)
I am really impressed with these products from Metcalfe's skinny and knowing that they aren't super bad for me makes me feel alot less guilty and guarantees a purchase of some more for me to enjoy!
I think I'll be sneaking these into my next cinema trip!
(***Disclaimer : This product was kindly sent to me by the lovely people at Metcalfe's Skinny who asked me to join their Topcorn Tribe. All thoughts, opinions and ideas are always my own and I would never include an item or product on A Yellow Brick Blog that I didn't truly believe in.)

My hair went from thin shoulder length average looking hair to gorgeous long, thick and fabulous in a matter of seconds - it is a god send!
So myself and Wonderland Wigs are giving one of YOU the chance to win ANY one product of your choice from their huge range online! (Excluding human hair extensions... Obviously!)

Good Luck everyone! I cannot wait to see the winner rocking some new fab locks!
So, if you have read my blog recently you would have noticed I have mentioned the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer's a good few times.... ( To be exact 4 different posts! - Beauty Buys Of The Week, June Favourites, Day To Night in 4 Steps & What's In My Bag?) so when I saw that Rimmel were holding a competition on their twitter to win the complete collection I was all over it in a millisecond! (and guess what.... I only went and blooming won!)
Obviously this had me VERY excited and I also thought - what a great blog post to do!
So many people on twitter have been asking me about them and the different colours and this is the perfect way to showcase all of them and what they look like!
They honestly are officially my new favourite lip products out there on the market at the moment! So thick, pigmented and they last for ages without being sticky, tacky or drying out the lips!
I'd been dying to try all of the shades and I am happy to say that none of them have disappointed such a good variety and I have finally found a red lipgloss I LOVE with Big Bang! (Been looking for what seems forever!)
There is literally a colour here for all occassions and I can't wait to wear them all! Normally on a day to day basis (and when I go out in the evenings!) I wear a lipstick with a gloss over the top to get a good opaque colour, shine and to stop my lips drying out but with these I don't need to do that!
They are all that in one in jut one tube and I love it! I can't recommend them enough!
Sorry the photos below aren't the greatest quality but hopefully you get the gist of what they look like on! (Big Bang is alot redder in real life but you can see that in the arm swatch!)
Have you tried any of the Apcoalips? Which one/s are your favourite? Did you find this post helpful? Please let me know below and if you liked this post and my blog make sure you follow via GFc & Bloglovin (links in sidebar!)
