Creating A Vision/Happiness Board

I've been meaning to make this post for months and months now, I just have struggled to find the time to get on with it!

I love creating and even though I'm not naturally artistic (I struggle with a stick man) ever since I was a child I have always loved making collages, cutting bits out of magazines and I used to sit there make new things to put up in my bedroom weekly - I just loved it. (Oh... remember those days before the internet!)

I had been thinking about making one of these for my flat for months now - whether it be a vision board or a happiness board I wanted to have something that I could put together myself, that I could change every month or so to make me smile, keep

You can do this with anything! If you have a goal you want to reach, saving for a holiday, counting down to your wedding, need a bit of motivation for work or maybe just want to fill the board with happy memories that make you smile - everyone needs one of these!
As you can see I filled mine with all sorts of things - fun photos of holidays, friends and family (how cute is the one of me and my little Brother when he has chicken pox haha!), quotes from magazines that I love (especially that Cameron Diaz one!) - tickets from fun events, a card of my favorite movie The Wizard Of Oz and lots of little hints at ORLANDO to remind me that it won't be long until I'm back there #MotivationToSave!

What do you think? Is this something you would make yourself? Let me know!

(I bought my board from Amazon - it was only around £10 and looks a million times nicer than your usual cork board!)

Personalised Picks From I Just Love It

My inner-child very much lives on the outer. You may have noticed by my un-dying love for Disney, Harry Potter obsession.... the amount of teddys I still own and keep on my bed that I still embrace all those  I love it.

I Just Love It is a site that I get lost in and their cute, kitsch bits, bobs and gift ideas always catch my eye!
I was recently sent a couple of bits from the brand and I have been really excited to share them on here for you all to see!
These two pieces may not interest you in the slightest and that is fair enough - sometimes I feel very different from the bloggers I read .... a little 'young minded' perhaps and I can imagine that a Disney doll is enough to make some of your eyes roll but I like it and that's what blogging is about - sharing you things you think and things you like, so ... yeah!
First up - the personalised Princess*. Belle has always been my favourite Disney princess and Beauty and The Beast my favourite Disney movie, obvs and how cute is this doll!
The perfect present for any Disney-loving child (or adult!) - you can pick nearly any Princess and have a name embroidered onto the front of the dress!
Even my Mum loved this - it's so adorable.... plus it's great if you have more than one child wanting the same thing!
The other item I was sent was the personalised version of The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz*. As you may have guessed by the name of my blog - I'm a bit of a huge a fan!
These personalised books are such an amazing idea - especially, again, for children/families!
You can change any of the main characters name to anything you want - so obviously I changed Dorothy to Kirstie! Such a sweet idea - especially if the story has alot of meaning to yourself or whomever it may be for! There's loads to choose from including A Christmas Carol, The Wind In The Willows. Romeo & Juliet and Alice In Wonderland!

Make sure to head over IJLI and explore their never-ending gift ideas and homeware dreams!

Mini Birthday Haul

So after lots of you said yes yes yes to me doing a birthday haul type post - here it is!
Just thought I'd share of my photos from Saturday and a couple of the presents I was lucky enough to receive - I truly do have such incredible people around me who made my day so special!
I turned up to my friend's house to see this! Wow! Everyone knows I am a crazy Disney lover and my friends seriously knew what would make me smile!
Banner, balloons and party food (including princess cupcakes!) - if I hadn't already done my make-up I really would have let the tears flow!
This was bought into me at midnight by my lovely boyfriend! He knew that I'd seen this cake ages ago in Tesco and really wanted it - Finest Red Velvet - and check out those candles - boy did good! YUM!
Look how cute this is! I love this Micky & Minnie ornament so much - just got to decided where to put it now!
Birthday treat time! Wahoooo I got my nails done! I've actually hated not having them done the past few weeks - having them just make me feel 200% better about myself and so much more glamorous, especially for my night out!
I got this gorgeous brown/taupe type colour , I really fancied a neutral shade this time round, I know I'm meant to be on a spending ban but I think this is one luxury I can't give up just yet!
Beauty addict alert! Look what I got from my boyfriend - yup... 3 gorgeous Mac lipsticks! All are shades I have wanted for ages - Impassioned, Candy Yum-Yum & Girl About Town. All pink and all gorgeous, I am obsessed! And of course there will be reviews and swatches up soon! (How could I not?!)
By the name of my blog you may have noticed I'm a bit of a Wizard Of Oz fangirl! (And this birthday I recieved lots of W.O.O. themed presents aswell as Disney - people just know me so well!) My Mum got us tickets to see Wicked this year so this was a perfect present from her! I LOVE musicals and cannot wait to see this, it's been on my to-do list for years!
I am an obsessive DVD hoarder - I love films! These are both movies I had seen before and loved - one was from my little brother and the other my boyfriend! These are both must-see's I love them and so glad I can watch them again whenever I want now!
I did have one of these until about a month ago- when I smashed it open to pay for my deposit for Disneyworld!
So what a perfect present! I will be filling this up to the brim and smashing it open just before I go away - perfect way to save save save!
Since moving out I have been loving getting bits an bobs for my flat! This is the cutest timer for the kitchen! Cath Kidston with the little pup on the top, adorable!
This was such a special present from my parents! Limited edition framed cells from the movie The Wizard Of Oz - only 700 of these were ever made and I am lucky enough to have one of them! The cells I received are brilliant aswell - such an exciting and personal present.

That's just a few of the presents I got - I had such a fab day and evening!  A great way to start my year of being 24!
If you want to see more then let me know as I have lots of other things to share but if you don't like this sort of post then let me know aswell :)

Nails Of The Week : Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead

Just a quick post today and maybe the start of a new series for me!
I get my nails done by one of my lovely friendsevery few weeks and I thought it was about time I started sharing them with you (as I always love them!)
So now, each time I get my nails done I will try and upload and share them with you!
This week I decided I wanted a Wizard Of Oz theme as well....I am a bit of a fan (can you tell?)! So after looking into a few themes I decided red glitter would be a must! Hello ruby slippers!
So what else to have with it? The socks of the Wicked Witch Of The East of course!
I always have gel nail extensions and the colours are always shellac - perfect for a glamorous and flawless look!

What do you think? Any ideas for my next look? Only a few more weeks and it will be time for Christmas nails!

I'm Moving : Homeware Haul

If you follow me on twitter you will know that in 2 short weeks I am going to be moving out for the first time (yes at the age of 23!) and moving into a flat with my lucky boyfriend!

So for the last few weeks I have been picking up a few bits here and there for it - it is addictive - and when I mentioned doing a little homeware haul on twitter you were all really interested so I thought I'd go ahead and do one! (My twitter is @KirstieLouiseS )
Here is just a few things I have picked up for my new flat!
(Obviously I've been ordering pretty new furniture too but that isn't here yet and I didn't really think kitchen utensils and a wok or two would interested you all!)
I actually picked up this canvas a little while ago (you may have seen on instagram!) but it has just been sat in my room, because I am lazy, so I thought it would be perfect to take to the new flat.
I love everything it says - it is so true (minus the fact I hate coffee). I'm thinking of putting it up in the bathroom as it goes with the colour scheme in there ... and it does say "bubble bath" on it! It is from good old Matalan and was only £8 - bargain!

I love these boxes so so much! Don't you think they are so pretty?! I've had just one for ages and when I knew I was moving out I thought they'd be perfect for storing lots of stuff in (as I'm not taking all my furniture from home).
At the moment I have one for photos, one for all my travelling memories - (tickets, photos, bits and bobs etc) and I have a third one in which I haven't filled yet but I think it would be perfect for birthday cards/postcards and little memories that I have kept over the years ....I  may be a little bit of a hoarder! I also really want to buy another one for nail polishes and at the moment my storage for all of mine isn't great! I'm going to keep them under my dressing table when it arrives! They are from Tesco and are about £4.25/£4.50ish!

These are just some tissues boxes (boring to some of you) and I merely bought them because they had a cute pattern and they were on offer!
2 for £2 in Boots and they are meant to be £1.99 each anyway, bargain I'd say! I thought these would look cute on each of our bedside tables (nice and symmetrical!) .... yes he is having a flowery box of tissues and will have to deal with it!

Sorry about the annoying flash in the photo! Now I know some of you may find this a weird thing to have bought so soon but because I yo-yo so much with my weight I knew I had to have these to keep on track! Quote my Mum "you WILL put on weight when you move in with a boyfriend" .... No I shall not haha! I got these paricular ones as they are digital and I feel they are probably more accurate that your ordinary scales! They are from Boots and were around £16ish I think.

This is something I bought maybe over a year ago. (I know I know it shouldn't be in this recent haul blah blah blah but shhhh it's being included!)
I saw it on play.com and obviously fell in love and with it being only £3.29 or so I had to buy it.
It is a Wizard Of Oz tea towel and when I bought it I said "this is for when I move out!" so here she is! Looking on play.com now it is a ridiculous £17.21 ... but I'm sure you can find it cheaper elsewhere!

These cute floral lined wicker baskets are from Tesco and were only £9 for the pair! I thought these would be perfect for storing products in!
As you can see I have been picking up stuff for the boyf and I already! All these things have been on offer (£1 or just over) so I grabbed them while I could - will keep us going for a while!

Candles, candles, candles I love candles.
I have been buying the "Damson and Pomegranate" one for years from Tesco and it is probably one of my favourite candle scents ever. So, when I went into Tesco and saw that they now make an extra large version of it for only £5 I was in there like swimwear!
£5 for 80hours burning time of the most amazing smell - you can't say no!
The other candle I got is the Yankee Candle in "Black Coconut" and again (of course) this was another bargain! I have been eyeing up this badboy for months, I love coconut scents and Yankee candles are always such good quality and this was HALF PRICE!
Yup, the Clinton Cards by me at the moment are having a big old sale (possibly closing down the poor old thing!) and this included some of the Yankee candles so I got this for £8.49 instead of £16.99 - Barry Bargain! (and it will go with all the furniture I've purchased so far!)

Lastly, something I nearly forgot about, is this little sweet jar! (Photo from phone instead of camera - sorry!) I actually saw this in a charity shop and with it being only £1.50 I thought - why not! It is a cream china and covered in Liquorice Allsorts - perfect to whack in the kitchen and keep little treats in!

Let me know what you think of this post and if you want to see anymore updates or posts about my move and new flat!

What's In My Bag?

Now this is a post I have been wanting to do for a while.
I always love other peoples whether it be on their blog or on their youtube.... I think this is because I can be quite nosey and I love to know what everyone else carries around with them, I'm sure I'm not the only one like this! So here we go... Kirstie's What's In My Bag post...
My bag is from Zara and is the green mini shopper - if you have been on my blog recently (thank you) then you would have seen it in my June Favourites post!
I love it and even though it's called the "mini" shopper, it isn't mini at all!
I like to carry a lot round with me and this bag is perfect! It fits in so so much and doesn't look ridiculously big, it is actually the perfect size for me, and it was only £22.99 - a Barry Bargain some might say!

Cath Kidston Umbrella - Clearly living in England this has to be up there with the top things to carry around with you! I think this was a limited edition one for the Olympics last year, I got it for Christmas and love that it is so compact!

Soap & Glory Hand Food - The best hand cream ever, so nice to have it with me all the time.

My iPod - This is my first and only iPod I've ever had - it's doing me well! It is the 120b silver classic and holds soooo much, I have thousands of songs, Tv Shows, Movies - I wouldn't ever buy any other iPod other than a classic.

My Phone - I love this badboy and don't go anywhere with out (man I sound sad but I bet you are all the same!) It is the white iPhone 4S , my contract isn't up until March next year so will have it for a little while longer yet!

Half a packet of Polo's - I like to have these in my bag to keep my breath fresh!

Hair Scrunchie - Random! (From eBay)

My Kindle - This was mentioned in my Colours Of The Rainbow Tag post. I love reading so when my boyfriend bought me a Kindle out of the blue I was so excited! I got this case from TruffleShuffle.com as I (obviously) love the Wizard Of Oz and thought it was so cute!

My Purse - Can't go anywhere without this badboy! My purse is a metallic pewter FCUK wallet with a bow detail! I got it from ASOS a few months ago and it's so handy, lots of card space and zip pocket! I'm the sort of girl who changes her purse alot, I alwasy want to buy a new one!

Diary - I always have this in my bag, it is the Cath Kidston small 2014 diary and it is perfect, week per page and lots of spaces for notes too!

Princess pen - ...to write in my diary... duh! Got this at Disneyworld last year!

Make-up - I only carry around lip products with me on a day-to-day basis (as I'm normally only at work or in my local area). I used to carry around my whole make-up bag when I was younger but I near enough never needed it so I decided to stop! Here I have Barry M Lipgloss in Bubblegum, Rimmel's Apocalips in Nova, Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch and a Carmex tube in Strawberry. (I like to have options alright!?)

Keys - I don't drive (I know I'm a loser!) so I literally only have my house key which is on a cute Alice In Wonderland thingy and I also have my Dorothy keyring (do you see a theme?) and my keyring from Kardashian Khaos in Vegas!

Pink Chiffon Body Spray - I mentioned this in my May Favourites it is from Bath & Body Works (so I can't get it easily in the UK :( ) and I love the scent so much, brings back amazing memories of being in America aswell everytime I spray it!

Soap & Glory Hand Maid Anti-Bac - I love anti-bacs, I can't leave the house without one.... so I have two! This soap and glory one smells amazing and I talk about it more in my Beauty Buys Of The Week post. I also have the Bath & Body Works (they do the best hand gels) one in Warm Vanilla Sugar. (yum!)

Travalo - If you don't have one of these you are crazy (learn more about them here) In this one I currently have Taylor Swift - Wonderstruck, which is my favourite perfume of the past year or so. (Taylor Swift & smells amazing - win win!)

Glasses - I probably don't wear these enough but I carry them round with me 24/7 anyway, they are by Guess. I'm kind of bored of them now and when I can afford some new ones I'm going to change my frames to something a bit cooler!

Hairbands & Grips - A girl always needs these in her bag.

Hello Kitty Pocket Tissues - just a given, why wouldn't you carry tissues around with you?!

Pocket Mirror - Wizard Of Oz themed once again (I always get bought these things for xmas and birthdays :) ) Always handy to have a mirror with you!

Sunglasses - These are from River Island but sold on ASOS and were only £2 in the sale last year - bargain!

So there we have it - that is what I carry around with me on a daily basis. (Sorry if that was super boring!)
What do you keep in your handbag?

30 Day Snap #2 - Home Is Where My Heart Is

So it is Day 2 of the 30 Day Snap and here it is, a sneak peek into my life - my favourite picture in my bedroom.

Today I spent my day at home, so I thought it would make sense to give you a snap from that very place! It is a Sunday so I made sure I got loads of things done which I had on my to-do list. It was a lovely day and I did miss out on a bit of sunshine BUT I am so happy to have a clean and tidy room.
Washing, dusting, cleaning, hoovering, hair treatment and a blog post later I have whizzed through most of my long, long list and am now ready to sit down, join in the #bbloggers chat on twitter, paint my nails and wait for The Only Way Is Marbs (I know you are all thinking that too!)

Catch up here, Days - 1.
