Birthday MAC Haul

As I woke on the morning of my 26th birthday bright-eyed and bushy-tailed I did my usual morning routine -  you know just some light yoga and a shot of healthy greens...... and by that I mean I casually lay in bed, avoided getting up and checked my phone for any exciting Kardashian news.
And BING there it was - a surprise MAC voucher waiting in my inbox for me from my lovely boyfriend (Lots of brownie points for him!)!

Of course this voucher did NOT last long and no sooner had I got it, it was gone. Although I must admit it was a tough choice picking from my never-ending wishlist!
Here's what I decided on....
Strobe Cream
This has been on my wishlist for so long now. Every single photo I had seen of it online looked so stunning - I'm obsessed with a perfect glow and that dewy, natural look and this cream looks like the perfect way to create that. I can't wait to play around with this stuff!

Lip Liner - Soar
The Kylie Jenner classic. I cannot believe it's taken me this long to invest in it! I LOVE MAC's lip liners - they are the best - and I'm so glad to have another nude shade to wear daily with Velvet Teddy/Brave.

Lip Liner - Nightmoth
Like I had said in my recent post I really wanted to buy a new lip liner to go with my Ariana Grande Viva Glam lipstick and THIS is the perfect shade!  Seriously dark, this plum shade is the best base for it - and also gorgeous on it's own!

Lipstick - Brave
Another product which has been on my wishlist for months and months.
I saw a gorgeous picture on Pinterest of someone wearing Soar & Brave together and since then I have been wanting to purchase them both - and now I have! I know this is going to get some serious wear, it's such a pretty colour - perfect for everyday!

Eyebrow Pencil - Lingering
This was a total random purchase! But I've just had my eyebrows done and felt like trying something new for them! I quickly tried this out and am so impressed by how easily it works on filling in my sparse areas and how little you need!

MAC Viva Glam Ariana Grande Lipstick

When I heard the next Viva Glam celebrity was going to be Ariana Grande I knew I was going to invest. It didn't matter what shade it was - I was interested. (any excuse to buy another MAC product really....)
I'll admit it - I'm a fan girl! I love Ari, she's a babe!

Anyway.... the collection was released and at first I was actually a little unsure whether to take the plunge and buy it, but because it looked so awesome on Ari (Yup, we are so close I can call her that...) so I decided that it was a must and my life wouldn't be complete without it.

This Viva Glam isn't like any of the others I've had before, I'm used to the fun girly pinks of Nicki and Miley but this lippy is super dark - a gorgeous matte plum in fact!

Don't be alarmed buy the shade in the tube - it isn't as scary once applied!
The shade is gorgeous, I'm in love and so,so pleased I decided to buy it.
The forumla is surprisingly moisturising for a matte shade - a little like the feel of Velvet Teddy (my number one lippy).

I highly recommend you pair this with a liner though - it's too easy to make a mess of it .... as I may have found out!

I have a liner slightly lighter which isn't overly great with it so I think I'll be investing in one a bit darker to perfect the look!

I cannot wait to wear this on a night out - is it sad I kind of want to base my outfit around it?!

Have any of you tried it out yet?! You can check it out - here.

Freedom Makeup London : House Of Glamdolls Exotica Doll Look

It's been a while since I featured a palette here so what better a time to share this new beauty with you all.

Freedom Makeup are a fairly new brand on the block... but if you use the internet I'm sure you've spotted them or come across them by now.
They already have a huge range of products including professional kits and brushes aswell as the usual make-up top picks.
House Of Glamdolls is a collection of 4 fabulous palettes full of gorgeous shades for lips, cheeks and eyes.

The Exotica Doll palette is a gorgeous mix of neutral easy-to-wear shades and funky pops of colour.
Inspired by tropical holidays and exotic destinations (waaa take me there) this palette of shades helps you to create your inner sultry beach babe.
I love the fact it has everything from cheeks to lips to eyebrows - it's a winner if you're going away for the night I tell ya!
The shimmery eyes shades are just gorgeous, a great range and the palette comes with a handy mirror too - which for the price of just £8 is a steal!

Freedom Makeup are definitely one to watch - head over to their website and have a look through, their range is bloomin' awesome and so affordable!

Burt's Bees Squeezable Beeswax Lip Balm

Burt's Bees Squeezable Beeswax Lip Balm*

Tip my handbag upside down and you're probably going to be faced with at least 17 different lip products. I'm not quite sure how they build up so much but each week I have to have a good clear out and keep just a small handful in there.
In those products there is ALWAYS a lip balm. I cannot go anywhere without one and I actually think my lip are a little bit dependant on them now - opps!

When I heard the Burt's Bees were releasing a squeezable version of their original beeswax lip balm I knew I had to try it.
I've used a few of there lip products before and although they were good at fighting off the dry and chapped problems they weren't overly moisturising or hydrating. This on the other hand is the complete opposite.
The balm has a 100% natural formula.
Containing Beeswax (duh) and Vitamin E this stuff is so much smoother and softer than the other versions and the slanted tip makes it super easy to apply.
Unlike the previous products you can actually feel this on your lips like a gloss which I love plus it isn't sticky in the slightest. It also has a small zing of peppermint which is actually the best feature for me as it helps put me off snacking!

I have been using this non-stop and can see already that it won't be long until I have to buy a replacement - my lips feel hydrated and moisturised creating the perfect base for all my summer shades!

Burt's Bees squeezable lip balm is priced at £4.99 and you can find it right about... here!

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub Review

There are some products out there that I umm and ahhh about buying for months on end. I then buy them and wonder why I waited so long to add it to my ever-growing collection.
This is one of those products.

I have wanted a lip scrub for pretty much forever now and Lush had always been on top of my list of the ones to try. To be honest I used to look at it everytime I popped into Lush but hadn't bought it until I went to London last week when I realised enough was enough and it about bloomin' time I invested in it.

Being a huge sweet lover there was no doubt in my choice of Bubblegum from the range of lip scrubs available.
This smells SO good - if you are a sweet-toothed fiend like me you will probably just want to eat the pot!
Made with caster sugar and jojoba oil this scrub helps to exfoliate and soften the lips to help ensure a perfectly smooth base for all your favourite lip products!
I pretty much have dry lips all year round, flaky skin and general grossness does NOT look good when doing my make-up each day, so this has been welcomed into my morning routine with open arms!

With my finger I rub a small bit of the scrub onto my lips and buff away all those dead skin cells to reveal soft and moistured lips. (Plus it's safe to eat so you can lick it off ..... although I don't - not good for the teeth ya know!)

This has totally changed my lips and I'm SO happy for my new soft and polished smile, I've been using it every single day and it doesn't even look like I've used any - this is going to last for months and months!

The scrub is £5.50 and you can check it out - here

MeMeMe Lip Glide Velvet Finish Lip Colour - Winter Berry

Hello you lovely lot! I've got a smashing make-up review today for you all.... I feel like I haven't done anything make-up based in forever (it's been a week...) so I'm actually really excited to be writing this!
I'm feeling quite jolly, can you tell?

It's been a while since I talked about MeMeMe cosmetics... but that doesn't mean they haven't been in my life. The Flawless concealer has got to be in my top 3 concealers that I use and my boxed blush has found it's way back out now the sun is shining.

Now to talk about the new product on the block - Lip Glide.
MeMeMe Lip Glide's are their new range lip crayons.
I am a HUGE fan of lip crayons, especially at this time of year. They are so easy to put on and the ones I've used have also had great pigmentation and fab stay time.

The lip glides are a chunky pencil design, like a lip liner but a whole lot bigger, these are made with just the perfect thickness to make application precision easy peasy - even for us clumsy make-up users.

This is perfect for me, it's so easy to fill the lips in and it's a million times quicker than a lip liner, plus you don't even have to use another products alongside it!
I mean you can, this is fab to pop on underneath your lipstick or gloss but it's a bold stand alone shade too, with amazing wear-ability and long lasting effects - they've called it the 'new generation of colour.'

The shade I have here is Winter Berry. Yes you may be thinking - but it's summer? Berry shades are sooo last season but I would say no! I love wearing dark lips all year round. I think they look great with bright florals and summer outfits!

I LOVE this shade, it reminds me of MAC's Rebel (one of my all time favourites) and I have been wearing it ALOT! If you've seen a photo of me lately with dark lips, 9 times out of 10 it was probably this! It's so smooth and doesn't dry out the lips out all #winning
With of 5 different shades to choose from and a gorgeous velvet finish these are a definite hit for all beauty lovers. They are priced at £6.95 each which I think is a great price - personally I prefer it to everyones favourite lip crayon from Bourjois AND they are cheaper! You can find out more - here.

Barry M Lip Boss High Powered Lip Gloss - 5 Thinking Outside The Box

If you ask me what my favourite cheap lip gloss has been over the last 8 years or so my answer would hands down be Barry M's collection.
I've talked about them countless times, recommended them to countless people and bought a countless number of tubes myself, they are products that have just constantly been there for me to grab whenever.

So seeing a NEW lipgloss collection being released from my old faithful brand made me very happy indeed. With closer inspection I think this may be replacing the current lip glosses... but don't quote me on that.
The reason I think they might be replacing them is that this is very similar to my usual 'toffee' lip gloss from Barry M.
But don't get me wrong - this doesn't mean I'm not disappointed in the slightest!

There are 5 glosses in the new Lip Boss range, from a bold red to a pretty coral, so there's got to be at least one you'll be a fan of.
This is shade 5 and it's called called 'Thinking Outside The Box' - all the Lip Boss' have cute names which I love as just a number is boring right?!

The packaging is cute, bigger than the other glosses which is good as it possibly means more product and it comes with a handy doe-foot applicator. (the best type in my opinion for lip glosses.)
The gloss itself is super smooth and not sticky in the slightest. The scent of this particular shade is toffee, so sweet and yummy, I literally cannot stop applying it.
I'm really looking forward to trying out the rest fo the collection, I'm hoping one of them is a bubblegum flavour like the older ones - that is one of my ultimate favs ever.

The Lip Boss' are priced at £4.49 each, total bargains in my opinion, this beauty is already in my handbag so I can reapply it wherever I may be.

AMAs Best Dressed 2014

It was that time again Sunday night - The American Music Awards... this is one of my favourite award shows to watch and some of my favs performed their butts off (aka Taylor and Ariana, you go girls)!

Award shows are my favourite events to outfit-watch those perfect celebs and get totally well jel of the girls of music industry and more!
So I've picked out my top 4 outfits of the night........ these ladies slayed the red carpet!
1. Lucy Hale wearing Vera Wang
This cute LBD is from the Spring 2015 line and has gorgeous embellished front and a fab fringed hemline. Super cute for the festive season I how love Lucy has teamed with the strappy heels and vampy make-up to give it a pretty but edgy look! Dark lips really suit her!

2. Kylie Jenner wearing Alexandre Vauthier
Seriously though.... Kylie is just 17! At 17 I had a dodgey haircut and wore belts so high it looked like they were holding my boobs up.... what was my life?
In all seriousness though - how incredible does she look? The dress, the heels, the LIPS - are all on point. She looks flawless in my opinion.

3. Taylor Swift wearing Michael Kors
I haven't seen Taylor in a floor legnth dress in a while and I think she nailed it Sunday night! The gorgeous emerald green shade made her stand out from the blacks and autumnal colours surrounding the event! Her short, styled hair looks fab with the sheer top half of the dress (which really remind me of a Three Floor style) and the cut out looks perfect! Some cut-outs ruin a garmet but this is fab!

4. Fergie wearing Halston Heritage
She's back and looking fabulous! A classic gown from the Spring 2015 collection which emphasized her stunning figure perfectly.
I love the subtle elegance about her with her blonde wavy hair and nude lip - a total bombshell on the carpet. (p.s. Check out those legs! wow!)

NEW Make-Up Revolution I ♥ Make-Up The Wow Stick Collection

An exciting post today! That's right I have whole NEW collection from the fabulous Make-up Revoution!
I've mentioned this brand a few times over the last few months, I've been so impressed with everything I've tried from them so far and these are no exception, so grab a cup of tea and settle down for a review.......
Lip crayons have slowly made there way into my most worn lip products over the past year or so. At first I didn't get the hype around them but after buying product after product I have fallen hook, line and sinker for them!
So of course this collection seemed right up my make-up obsessed street.
Make-Up Revolution Super Wow Colour Stick Collection*
With a range of colours this 8 piece collection has a shade for everyone. From a pretty nude to summer brights and autumn darks, I am loving them!

Plus look how cute all the names are, I mean Sunday Girl - that's got to be a blogger dedication right?
I love products that have pretty names, lip shades that are just numbers are so boring (Barry M take note please), I want the job of choosing names for shades!!
Now for a bit of a negative point.... the packaging isn't great and I say this for mainly just one reason. All the tubes look exactly the same when they are out of their boxes.
There is no form of identification on the individual crayons so once out the box you literally have no idea what shade it is! The boxes are cute and I like that the they are the shades of the product but it's hard to match them back together again once you've taken them out, and to be honest I normally don't keep the boxes!
Thank you to my dog for walking past and leaving a hair behind - photo ruiner!
As you can see the range of colours is fab, I am loving Atomic - definitely going to be a holiday shade for me and Maria is the perfect Autumn/Winter colour.
These are matte crayons which I find are great for a long lasting effect, they have amazing pigmentation and gives you a bold colour for hours.
Left to Right :

Another fabulous range of lip crayons and at only £2.99 each these are a total steal! They are easy to apply and the colour really does last! I am proper chuffed with these, a big high five and thank you coming your way MUR!

Blistex Lip Brilliance Review

That 'thing' with me and lip products is getting a little out of control.
I'm a sucker for them all - lipstick, lipgloss, lip crayons, lip balms .... you name it, I'll buy it - I couldn't even tell you how many I own!

I have a new one to talk about today and it's a bargain drugstore lip balm.
Blistex Lip Brilliance*
Lip balms are great for keeping lips hydrated and soft! There is nothing worse than chapped, flaky, dry lips - literally my pet peeve in life and the ever-changing weather seems to be a cause of that for me!
This Blistex Lip Brilliance* is in the shade Blushing and has a lovely pink shimmer tint to it (extra thumbs up for that!) which makes it even more likeable for me! Some lipbalms are so boring - this comes out a lovely soft sheer rose colour.
This is the key for having soft lips for me at the moment, with Vitamin E (a personal fav ingredient of mine) this stuff makes my lips silky-soft and smooth 24/7.

Not only that but because of the Hyaluronic filing spheres the Lip Brilliance boosts your lips so they look naturally full and therefore... fabulous - duh.
Plus it has a slight strawberry scent to it which is lovely.
For only £2.61 in Boots this is a bloomin' barry bargain!
I have had this in my bag constantly, it is perfect if you want something really subtle - maybe for work, school or even if you just want to keep your lips in good condition at home... this is great.

A product which keeps your lips looking full and feeling soft with a great shimmer for less than £3 - a perfect addition to any make-up loving girls summer collection.

POTW #12 : Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon - Peach On The Beach

Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon - Peach On The Beach .... I am well and truely in love with you.

Now I know I'm a bit late on the colour boost love bandwagon here but at least I'm on it right?
I've been eyeing these beauts up or months and months (since the likes of fellow beauty lovers such as Tanya & Zoe starting bigging them up) but with my endless supply of lip products at home I've always mananged to talk myself out of splashing out buying one!

That was until I have a bit of a mental breakdown in Boots recently and thought "why not spend some points" and had a little spend up - and I am so glad I did! (Haul here.)
I choose the peach shade as it's not the type of colour that I have lots and lots of!
These lip crayons as super hydrating and glossy and I'm totally and utterly addicted to applying it!
I have worn this day after day since buying it and am actually gutted I hadn't bought it sooner, I have been majorly missing out!
The colour is a fab peachy pink and even though it is just a lip crayon these are so pigmented! I am now desperate for more and am so tempted to head back to Boots and abuse the 3 for 2 offer!

Have you tried the Colour Boost lip crayons yet? What's your favourite shade?

Mac Matte Lipstick - Candy Yum-Yum Review

I told you they'd be more! Number 2 review of my new lipsticks is here (Check out my review of Impassioned here)
Today it is all about Mac Matte Lipstick in - Candy Yum-Yum.
Candy Yum-Yum is one of the Mac lipsticks I have been umming and arring for so long about getting. Just the name has me sold - that seems like the best job in the world... making up names for shades -  how do I go about applying for this?! Anyway....

I didn't actually realise this was a matte shade - I'm so blonde sometimes! I only own a couple of matte shades but am definitely a fan.
Even though it is matte it still has a gorgeous sheen about it and doesn't feel drying at all.
I would recommend using a good lip scrub before using this too - lipsticks always need a good base to work well.
TIP : If you don't have, want or like lip scrubs then invest in just a cheap manual toothbrush, use in a circular motions over your lips a couple of times a week for soft, flawless lips!
The pigmentation is, like all Mac lipsticks, gorgeous! Just one swipe gives a fabulous opaque colour - which like I said before is always what I look for in a lipstick.

If you like brights - this is the shade for you! A vivid fuchsia pink which stands out a mile will having you looking and feeling girly and glam in seconds!
Perfect for summer days and girl's night's out - this would go so well with both a simple daytime eye and a something a bit more full-on with a pair of false lashes!
What do you think then girls? Love it? Want it? Own it? .. or does a shade so bright scare you?
