Kirstie's Current Favourites

Well .... it's been a while since I've talked you guys through what I have been LOVING lately so I thought it was about time!
I've got everything from teabags to MAC products today, so sit back, relax and come and see what I'm talking about...
Now I'm going to start with the two randoms. Metcalfe's Skinny Dark Chocolate Popcorn Thins and Twinings Gingerbread Green Tea.
Yes, I've talked about the tea before on here in my January favourites but it's still a strong, strong favourite of mine! This stuff is so, so good - tastes just like gingerbread, perfect for a little sweet fix!
The popcorn thins are literally da bomb. I tweeted about them not long ago when I had stumbled across them in co-op and then the lovely people at Metcalfe's Skinny sent me a whole box full (I know, I couldn't believe it either!) - it's taken me all my strength not to sit and eat them all I tell ya!
Popcorn is literally my favourite food ever and I've got such a weakness for dark chocolate at the moment so this combined is just a WINNER.
 Strobing! Strobing, strobing, strobing.
I mean .... it's basically just shiny highlighters right? Well.... I've been going through these 3 like no bodies business!
The MAC strobe cream (bottom swatch) is a total beaut - for £24 yes it's a bit of a splash out, for me anyway, but this is gorgeous and I'm really looking forward to rocking it with a tan. I miss being tanned so much!
The other two are by Make Up Revolution. Euphoria* and Hypnotic* - at only £5 each these are a bargain! One a silvery pink based cream and the other a golden shimmer cream - I'm obsessed.
I've been rotating these 3 daily, basically just going with whichever one I feel like, I love them all! Strobing is a YES from me. (Although I'm just using them as I would a highlighter.... I don't look Pinterest worthy just yet!)
Since getting a new prescription and starting my new job, glasses have become my life. I actually can't go through a day without them so new pairs are always a good thing!
I was recently sent this pair by William Morris London*, snazzy right?
This pair is actually from the 'Silver Collection' - this collection is super special as they have started to reuse the original shapes and designs that William Morris started out his business with 20 years ago!
You may have spotted me in them on social media recently - (here) - I totally look intelligent right? The quality is amazing, everything from the case to the arms, I'm so, so pleased with them.
MAC's eyebrow pencil in Lingering has changed my life. God lord how had I not tried this before?! I LOVE this eyebrow pencil, the shade is perfect for me, it fills in my sparse areas without making them look too bold and OTT and it lasts all day - this will be repurchased over and over again. As you can see I've already rubbed off all the writing on the packaging and I've only had it a month!

Next is a new skincare super hero! Bee Good Necta Perfecta* was recently released and I was lucky enough to get this mini sample size to try out. (Blogger perks eh?!)
I've only tried it out a couple of times but I've loved the results! Made for a multitude of things you can use this skin perfecter n everything from your scalp to your elbows!
Hydrating, soothing and moisturising a tiny bit of stuff goes a long, long way - with the horrible weather we've been having lately my hands have been suffering, this stuff has been great for popping on at night before I head off to sleep for a deep hydrating treatment! I really want to try it out on my scalp as a treatment next!
Health is something I'm trying to take alot more seriously at the moment, I'm ona a real mission to make myself feel better and change my ways - so far, so good! This book was something I picked up from ASOS  as something to help me with all those health problems I seem to have day in day out. With it's quick and easy segments to read Health Hacks is so helpful and something I actually enjoying reading through!
There are tons of different sections to read through so weather it's being bloated or something to help with a rash - there is a top tip on how to solve it!

Make Up Revolution Pro Primer Aqua Priming Base Review

It was only a few years ago that primer became a 'thing' in my make-up bag.

I remember stumbling across the Smashbox photo finish primer whilst travelling the US back in 2012 and wondering how I have ever put make-up on without that game-changing first step.

Since then I have tried SO many. From your everyday bargain drugstore brands to the products with prices that make your eyes water!
This, however, is something fairly new to me. A priming spray.
I've only ever tried one other and I hated the scent so much I only used it once so didn't really get to see how well it worked!
This, Aqua Priming Base from Make-Up Revolution is one of their snazzy new products which they were kind enough to send to me to try out!

This lightweight spray has been working wonders, it's so easy to use and has been making my morning routine that little bit shorter each morning as it sinks into the skin so quickly which I love!

I can't wait to use this during the hotter months too (remember those?) it keeps my skin feeling hydrated without seeming to add any excess oils and seems to do the job of keeping my make-up on!

For only £6 this is definitely worth a try, especially if you're someone who doesn't wear alot of make-up throughout the day or wants a product to help freshen up your skin.

Say hello to another fun and funky lipstick collection - Unicorns Unite.
I mean, nowadays, who isn't a fan of pretty unicorns, fun shades and something a little out of the norm!
This 5 shade collection isn't something I would usual go for colour wise (minus Myth... that's so up my street!) but I've actually fallen in love with Throne and Legend and with Halloween just around the corner these colours could be a fabulous last touch on a spooky or out of this world costume!

Make-Up Revolution I ♥ Makeup I ♥ Obsession Palettes : Born To Die & West End Girls

More palettes?!
Yes MUR have yet again released even more fabulous eyeshadow palettes! (I am now seriously struggling to pick one each time I want to do my make-up!)

This brand new collection is LIMITED EDITION and are priced at only £3.99 each so if you want one you need to move your butt (fingers) quick!
There are 5 palettes in the I ♥ Obsession range each made up of 10 individual shades with a mixture of shimmers and mattes.
The palettes in the collection are.... Born To Die, Pure Cult, Paris, West End Girls & Wild Is The Wind and I have two of these to show you today!
Born To Die is a smokey nude palette. Gorgeous browns/creams to help created a fabulous neutral smokey eye - perfect for everyday wear.
This is made up of both shimmer and matte shades, which is great for me as I do like to use both! I love the details on each shade, the writing and the embossing - it's little things like that that make MUR products look so much more expensive than they actually are!

 6 Top Shimmer Shades
(Wow I'm such an amazing blogger than I can't count to six.... I've missed out a damn colour what a fool!!! Looks like it's the 5th shade along..... I'm sorry guys)
4 Bottom Matte Shades
When I first opened this palette up I thought.... oooo could I pull those shades off? But once I swatched these colours up my arm I fell in love! This palette is perfect for a glamorous out night and I can't wait to have a play around with it!
Purple is meant to bring out green eyes so I think that 3rd shade in is going to get alot of use plus the 4 bottom shades will be great for the brow bone and tear ducts!
Top 6 Shades
 4 Bottom Shades
For only £3.99 these palettes are total and utter steal, thank you Make-up Rev for another outstanding collection!

10 Exciting New Beauty Releases

There's nothing that gets me more excited than new products! When I see adverts and sneak peeks of new beauty stuff about the hit the shops and web 9 times out of 10 it instantly goes straight to the top of my wishlist!
This month I've been seeing and hearing about ALOT of new things that are either about to be released or have just been released!
Here are my 10 most wanted!

Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit
Now annoyingly enough there isn't any stock images of this online yet but I have seen a few blog posts on it already! (Really Ree has a lovely one)! I love contouring kits, my sleek one is definitely the best high street branded kit I have found so far so I'm looking forward to trying out something along the same price range!

Make-Up Revolution Brushes
This brand is awesome, their bargain prices and amazing quality has me going back to them time and time again! And now they have released make-up brushes!!! The prices are tiny compared to every other brush out there and if they are anything like the other products they have, these are going to be a major hit!

Taylor Swift Incredible Things Perfume
YAY!! My favourite lady is releasing another perfume! Yes, I'm one of those fans who would buy it before even smelling it! I've liked everything she's released so far though so I'm sure I'll like this one too! I love the name too, Blank Space is one of my fav songs from 1989!

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
A mascara made for short, stumpy lashes? Apparently so! My lashes are total cr*p and I've tried sooooo many mascara over the years - I'm sure it won't long til' this newbie from Benefit is in my make-up bag being tested!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Primer
Primers are something I love trying out! Other products, like foundation, I know what I like and I stick to them, but with primers even though I have my favs I'm always up for trying new ones! Rimmel is probably my favourite high street brand and I'm always intrigued by their new releases, I like their other primer (forgive me I've forgotten the name) so I think I'll be giving this a go!

Ultimate Blends Honey Treasures Collection
Again, this is so new that I can't seem to find a damn photo of the stuff! As far as I know it will be available from tomorrow (Wed 21st Jan) - I've seen it already and it all looks fab! A honey infused shampoo, conditioner, treatment and serum all priced under £5 - amazing right? The Ultimate Blends collections from Garnier have gone down a storm since they were released and I bet this one is another best seller!

Revlon Photoready Anti-Shine Balm
Revlon is a brand that I will hold my hands up and say I don't own alot of. That is noway a reflection on how I feel about them, as I actually really do like their products! This stuff looks awesome - I'm always paranoid that I'm as shiny as a disco ball and this priming product sounds like the perfect cure.

Jimmy Choo Blossom Perfume
New perfumes excite me! This sounds like it's going to be a gorgeous fresh spring scent from Jimmy and I cannot wait to get a tester.

Aussie Body Wash
Ummmmm, yes that's right Aussie have bought out body washes!!! For all of us that love Aussie's haircare and have been using it for years the day has finally arrived where the rest of our bodies can also smell amazing! You should be able to see these in stores now!

Mac Cinderella Collection
Last but not least this is the stuff I am obviously most excited about! Mac + Disney = I need this in my life! For once the collection doesn't look totally unwearble - sometimes I love the idea of investing in some mac limited edition bits but then realise I'd probably never actually use them! These products look right up my street - pretty pinks and neutrals, I'm praying I can get my hands on it all!

NEW Make-Up Revolution I ♥ Make-Up The Wow Stick Collection

An exciting post today! That's right I have whole NEW collection from the fabulous Make-up Revoution!
I've mentioned this brand a few times over the last few months, I've been so impressed with everything I've tried from them so far and these are no exception, so grab a cup of tea and settle down for a review.......
Lip crayons have slowly made there way into my most worn lip products over the past year or so. At first I didn't get the hype around them but after buying product after product I have fallen hook, line and sinker for them!
So of course this collection seemed right up my make-up obsessed street.
Make-Up Revolution Super Wow Colour Stick Collection*
With a range of colours this 8 piece collection has a shade for everyone. From a pretty nude to summer brights and autumn darks, I am loving them!

Plus look how cute all the names are, I mean Sunday Girl - that's got to be a blogger dedication right?
I love products that have pretty names, lip shades that are just numbers are so boring (Barry M take note please), I want the job of choosing names for shades!!
Now for a bit of a negative point.... the packaging isn't great and I say this for mainly just one reason. All the tubes look exactly the same when they are out of their boxes.
There is no form of identification on the individual crayons so once out the box you literally have no idea what shade it is! The boxes are cute and I like that the they are the shades of the product but it's hard to match them back together again once you've taken them out, and to be honest I normally don't keep the boxes!
Thank you to my dog for walking past and leaving a hair behind - photo ruiner!
As you can see the range of colours is fab, I am loving Atomic - definitely going to be a holiday shade for me and Maria is the perfect Autumn/Winter colour.
These are matte crayons which I find are great for a long lasting effect, they have amazing pigmentation and gives you a bold colour for hours.
Left to Right :

Another fabulous range of lip crayons and at only £2.99 each these are a total steal! They are easy to apply and the colour really does last! I am proper chuffed with these, a big high five and thank you coming your way MUR!
