Montagne Jeunesse Candyfloss Scrub Face Mask Review
You may remember my Instagram posts and tweeting about my trip to Primark late last year.
During this trip I managed to nab some fabulous Montagne Jeunesse face masks which I had never tried before!
All Primark exclusives of course, I was so excited to see lots of sachets I'd not heard of so naturally I bought them all. (They were only 90p each - bargain!)
The one I was most looking forward to trying was this - Candyfloss Scrub. Made with Passion Flower and Lotus Blossom this was said to be a sweet treat for sparkling skin.
Everyone know how much of a sweet fan I am from everything from food to scents to well.... skincare so I couldn't wait to find a new relaxing time to give this one a go.
With this being a scrub mask I thought what better a time to try it out than after a heavy week of partying, eating rubbish and having a pants sleeping pattern (aka the end of December). Something to help totally refresh and rejuvenate my face ready for a new year (and new job!).
I was surprised by the consistency of this to be totally honest, I had pictured a thick, creamy pink scrub but instead I was greated with a clear pink gel with scrubbing beads.
Putting this on my face felt... weird. It smells so yummy - alot like rubbing sweets onto my skin which made me feel like I shouldn't be doing it!
The first step on the sachet is "warm mask" .... there are no details alongside this though so I just rubbed it in my hands for a bit, although I probably should have popped it into some hot water but my brain only told me this AFTER I'd started using it... opps!
After the 15 minutes I took it off with warm water - it went to a kind of creamy white shade once the warm water had been applied so I wasn't sure if that's how it should have looked like when heated but it still seemed to do the job.
My skin felt really soft and any signs are tired, dull skin were gone - yay!
For 90p these masks really are such a skincare bargain - I think people can be put off by the cheap price but the quality of this collection is amazing - I will always be a fan! Now..... when can I try the rest of the ones I bought......

Maybelline NEW Baby Lips Electro - Pink Shock Review
Oppsie ... I've bought another lip product! It's not my fault okay it's a very sad addiction!
I've been looking forward to this new range coming out for a while now so when I saw it in Boots of course I bought it.... like the sucker I am!
Yes it is the brand spanking (to the UK) new Baby Lips from Maybelline.
Now I've only picked up 1 so far but for only £2.99 it probably won't be long until I cave in and buy some more! Now these are so much more up my street than the original collection - I love a bit of colour so anything bright and funky I'm going to love!
The Electro collection consists of 4 different shades. This one 'pink shock' instantly caught my attention (Although I seriouly want to get my hands on Berry Bomb but it wasn't in store ... sad face!)
A lip balm that gives you up to 8 hours of hydration and a fabulous flash of neon! Perfect for summer and hot days where minimal make-up is key!
I definiley think the colour develops more the longer it is on aswell! It's been fab to have in my work bag, replacing my lip butters and vaseline tins!

Pink lip products and I go together like pea and carrots. I am obsessed and as Miley would say ... I can't stop and I won't stop - they just keep on coming and my collection is literally growing by the day.... I have issues okay!

You may have seen this in my Boots Haul video I uploaded last week! This is one of the Rita Ora lip crayon from Rimmel and I had been eyeing it up for a while!
It is a gorgeous barbie bubblegum pink shade - perfect for summer! Lip crayons are my favourite at the moment, fab colour, great pigmentation and super hydrating and smooth! One of my top go-to colours at the moment ... so tempted to get some more of these Rimmel beauts.....

Wishlist : Pastels
With Spring nearly in sight I've been on the look out for all the new stock stores are getting in both in store and online.
Something which I knew was going to be a hot trend for SS14 and I have always loved is pastel colours.
Pinks, blues, greens, yellows - pastels always look so feminine, girly and classy and I love what the high street is coming up with for this year.
With that in mind I thought I would go ahead and do another wishlist post - this time... the top pastels items I have spotted and have my beady little eyes on.

The Lipstick Tag
I know what you're going to say.. another tag post? But yes! I recently saw this tag post on the lovely Shona's blog (freshbeautyxox) and knew that I had to get involved!
I love lipsticks, they are my weakness so this is the perfect post for me!
How many lipsticks do you own?
Well I've just had a round-up and a count and I can't believe that I actually own....59 lipsticks!!! (and counting... as there's a few I have my eye on) That is just basic lipsticks, not even including lipglosses, lipblams etc etc - I think this is alot?! What do you guys reckon? Am I ridiculous?
What was your first ever lipstick?
Wow.... I cannot remember! I'm nearly 24 now so the first lipstick I had was a good while ago! It was probably something that my Mum gave me, probably from Avon! I do remember buying Nivea's "Pearl & Shine" (don't know if it's still called that!) when I was about 12 when it first came out though!
What is your favourite brand for lipstick?
Well I LOVE Mac lipsticks - but they aren't something I buy lots of as... well... I cannot afford it! I only own about 5! The brand I use most and my favourite "drug-store" brand though is Rimmel! I have so many amazing lipsticks from them, they never dissappoint.
What is your most worn lipstick?
My go-to lipstick has been the same for years, Rimmel's Kate Moss Lipstick in shade 20! It is my favourite for a (*classic phrase alert...*) 'pop of colour'! Whether it is for a big night out or just popping out to town I love this shade!
What is your favourite finish?
Erm... I'm not very good at this?! Lustre? Whatever Rimmel's Kate Moss lipsticks are - they are a great finish!
My Current Favourites
What was the last lipstick you bought?
Well I've actually been on a make-up ban for a month (go me!) so it's been a good few weeks since I've bought one. But I think it was probably either Mac Rebel or Rimmel's Moisture Renew Lipstick in the shade Dark Night Water-loops.
How many lip products do you currently have in your bag? (including glosses and balms)
8. I have my Collection Little Mix Perrie Lipstick, Mac's M.A.C. Red Lipstick, Sleek's Mystic Lipstick, Baby Lips in Pink Punch, Barry M's Bubblegum lipgloss, 2x Nivea Lip Butters & Rimmel's Apocalips in Across The Universe!
What lipstick do your use to rock a red lip?
I have a few that I like to use! Mac's M.A.C. Red lipstick, Rimmel Kate Moss 107 Lipstick and Apocalips in Big Bang & Across The Universe.
How do you store your lipsticks?
I actually have little tand which holds 24 lipsticks - this is what I keep my current favourite and most-worn in. The others are all in a draw bt I am hoping to buy some more holders soon so I can fit all of them out!
What lip products are you currently lusting after?
Next on my list to buy is another one of the Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipsticks. It is the shade Oxford Street Fuschia and it is a gorgeous baby pink!
So there we have it the Lipstick Tag - I would love for you girls too join in so... I tag you ALL! Please let me know if you do it, I would love ot read all about your collections and favourites!

MUA 1D Lipstick : Rock Me - Louis
Okay... don't judge me. But yes it is true - I have bought one of the One Direction Kiss You lipsticks from MUA!
I saw these a while ago and was actually really impressed when I first had a look, although I have to say I was definitely the oldest person there looking through the stand and I may have had a few looks of some tweens haha!
But for me it's not about the band, it's about the make-up!
Now I do like myself a bit of 1D (Zayn to be precise), I can't say I am a huge fan girl - but I do like them and their music!
So (like most of you aswell I bet) I wanted to have a look at this make-up collection everyone had be raving about! I know I'm a little late on uploading this post as the Kiss You lipsticks came out months ago but I've been umming and arring about getting it for so long! (Although I have no idea why as they are a bargain!)
This shade is called "Rock Me" and it is the Louis shade!
I really liked all of the colours but thought I'd just pick up 1 to start off with. This is a gorgeous baby lavendar pink colour, such a pretty and original shade!
I have to say I love the packaging and the fact the lipstick is embossed with "1D" and " x and o's" it looks so cool and makes it look alot more expensive than it is, I'm impressed boys!
It is really soft and moisturising and once you have it on it stays on really well - although I was sad to use it for the first time and say goodbye to that cool 1D logo on the top!
The only thing I'd say is that it does need a few coats to get a good opaque colour.
This is perfect for both a casual day-to-day look and for a night out with a full face of make-up - I love it!
For only £3 I highly recommended these lipsticks - go check out the rest of the collection girls and boys, the other 4 are a total range of shades so there is something to please everyone!
Have you tried any of the MUA 1D Kiss You lipsticks?

A Taste Of Italy
I always love finding and being introduced to new brands (don't you?!)
Remember the first time you used Soap & Glory? Barry M? Real Techniques? Instantly knew you loved it right?
It's so nice to find a brand you love and recently I stumbled across a brand just like this, that after just one product I know straight away that I will be purchasing more.
You may or may not have heard of Deborah Milano, they are just making a start in the UK and that is who I am going to be talking about today.
Deborah Milano is an Italian make-up and skincare brand with a vast collection of products which range from foundations, powders and lip colours to the likes of men's shaving gels, face creams and cleansers.

Since having such a great customer following in Italy and having an "array of innovative, top-quality cosmetics and skin care products" the company have decided to branch on over to the us lovley folk in the UK too share with us their amazing and unique brand.

I recently tried out lip product from the brand and after reading reviews and comments about the company I have not been disappointed!
I opted for the new Shine Creator Lipstick. This is meant to give the shine of a lipgloss but with still being a lipstick - which is what I wanted really, something I could casually wear in the day which also has the moisturising feel of a lip balm or vaseline.
This is shade number 9 and is a gorgeous bright fuchsia-like colour. (it also has added SPF 15 too - always a bonus especially with the upcoming summer months!)
I am such a fan of pink lipsticks (check out my post on my favs!) and am always looking for more!
Firstly, I love the packaging. A pretty dark pink tube which looks really nice and high-end (even though this product is only a £8.50.... about the same price as most higher end drugstore brands)!
Secondly, I love the fact they have engraved the brands symbol into the top of the product - looks super cute and makes it look that much nicer! I know it's only a little thing BUT these things all add up when you are spending money on a product, presentation can be more or less everything.

I love the colour. Even though it is more of a darker pink it is still subtle and wearable (which is great if you don't want a crazy bold lip)!
It is also super moisturising like I said before it feels like a lipbalm which I love!
(there is nothing worse that have a lip product that makes your lips feel like you are covered in face paint, dry and cracking!)

This is perfect for daytime wearing and looks really pretty, I can't wait to try out other shades in this product!
If I had to compare it to another product I would liken it too the rosy lips by Vaseline - great colour, feels great and isn't too overpowering - but smells nicer and is of higher quality!

Go on - try something new! A new brand, a new shade, a new product - even a knew type of shoe - and let me know when you have!
(***Disclaimer : This product was kindly sent to me by the lovely people at Deborah Milano. All thoughts, opinions and ideas are always my own and I would never include an item or product on A Yellow Brick Blog that I didn't truly believe in.)
