But I'm afraid to say this mask was pants and I'm going to tell you all about it!
Manuka honey you say? Sounds fabulous, a total skin saviour right? ... wrong.
I'm always such a fan of these masks so when I spot one that I haven't tried before I'm always letting out a little squeal and heading to the checkout.
I've heard so much about manuka honey so I thought a mask full of the stuff was bound to end in sweet success.
This mask literally feels like putting honey on your face, it's clear and gloopy and does feel rather sticky when applying.
Being a peel-off mask I was a little weary before using it, I've always been more of a wash off mask than a peel off mask kind of girl ..... although peeling off is the greatest satisfaction right?
This did nothing for my skin, I left it on for the 15 minutes, peeled it off (which was the only enjoyable part) and was just left with a greasy residue and skin that felt no better than when I started, in fact probably worse!
For me this was pants, but I suppose you can't like everything and there's so many other masks by them that I adore so I'll be sticking to those for now!
Such a shame you didn't like it! I tried this the the other night and I was pretty impressed. I guess there are always going to be products that don't work for everyone. Luckily Montagne Jeunesse have a huge range so there must be one for you!
ReplyDeleteOh dear what a shame! Masks are usually so great and I find they make a massive difference. Sucks that this didn't work for you.x

I nearly bought this from Boots the other day as they are currently on offer. I didn't in the end and bought the Sanctuary thermal detox mask instead. Glad I made that choice on reading your review!
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame! Will have to skip this mask then!

I agree that peeling of facemasks is satisfying haha! I haven't tried this one and don't think I will, my favourite is probably the dragon-fruit one :)

What a shame. Usually I find the Montagne Jeunesse masks great but I must admit, the last two I've tried have been absolutely rubbish so I'm not sure what is going on. Raspberrykiss xo
ReplyDeleteOh no! I just picked this one up and I am saving it for my pamper night. I'll be sure to let you know my thoughts!
